They are very nice although I feel like they are a little unorganized. The prices you see om the internet for $299 are unrealistic. I wanted to get lasik but they suggested prk because i had an astigmatism. They are cautious because they scanned my eyes like 10 times to make sure they had a good reading. What I wasnt told was how painful prk would be. I was told by the sales lady it was the safest method but was just slightly uncomfortable but they give you pain meds. On the day of my surgery i wasnt prepared for what was getting ready to happen until about 3 minutes before my surgery, The nurse told me the surgery was going to be brutal and feel unbearable and that i would just want to sleep for 4 hours and that i would feel like glass was in my eyes and that they give you pain meds but the pain so much the meds dont really help. She was very honest because it was very brutal!! that night i was in so much pain i had a panic attack. i could not sleep because of the pain and i couldnt even open my eyes for 2 days. The third day was a little better but my vision was very blurry. today is day 4 and the pain is finally gone but vision is still blurry. the nurse said when the bandage contacts are removed it should be better. I feel they could have prepared me more and been a little more organized because when i got there they were missing a paper in my chart.
I went to the Vienna location per a recommendation from a close friend who had their procedure done there a few days earlier. I went in for a consultation on Thursday and had surgery on Saturday. I met with Jordan, Matt and Doctor Amir on the first day and doctor Roberts did the surgery on Saturday. I had a post op follow up with doctor Amir Sunday morning. It is now Monday and i can see perfectly. I have recommended several friends, one of which had the surgery the same time I did. The only negative to the process was that they told me to arrive at 8:45am on Saturday morning but I didnt get in for surgery until 2:30. I only wish I had been warned so that I would have been better prepared.
The office manager is very pleasant and has a great personality! The operation was very quick but the wait prior to the operation was absurd. The wait was much longer than they told me. They told me it would be a roughly 3 hours however it turned out to be 6 hours. (830am to 230pm).
Insane wait. "2 oclock appointment" apparently means "5. Or whenever". Mercilessly unapologetic receptionists mocking nervous/impatient customers are obviously used to the frustrations and couldnt care if they tried.
