A small local mall with decent stores. The main reason to pay a visit are the two anchor stores, Macys and the dwindling Sears. As of September 2017, the mall is going though some much needed renovations. The two escalators are closed, probably for full refurbishment and the food court is anything but. There are practically 3 eateries to choose from as the other spaces are boarded up. If your a local looking for a quick buy without having to travel far to Danbury, White Plains, or the Palisades mall then the Jefferson valley Mall would be suitable enough.

Not sure how to rate a mall, its small with all the stores you expect, anchored by a Macys and Sears with an awful food court. Not overwhelming in size or crowds. Two levels. Kind of depressing urban sprawl "in a lowering pile of building up a yard, where it had so little business to be, that one could scarcely help fancying it must have run there when it was a young [mall], playing at hide-and-seek with other [malls], and forgotten the way out again" (Dickens).

Whatever you do dont go to the nail salon. The guy there cut my toe because he was too busy speaking to the other workers and not paying attention. Every once in a while he would just stop completely on my pedicure so he could turn around and talk to them. And I dont usually complain or anything because I know it cant be an easy job but it was such a mess. Just a really unprofessional environment and very rude people. But I guess you get what you pay for.

my question is...who the hell goes to this mall? everything is closing. and the places that are closed are closed off with a blank wall or opened with a stupid store that no ones goes too but strangely stays open but when the good store like hot topic, deb, pet company, spencers, the disney store, borders, and other popular name brand stores that everyone went to got closed. the only good thing about this mall is fye, forever 21, hollister and claires.

Its hard for malls these days. I have been coming to this mall since 1990. The current status of the mall is partially because of bad management decisions in the past. The current management although is on top of everything and have made major changes for the good, but the retail trends are against them. That said I always shop here and have very fond memories of it I wish the new management only the best.

The JV mall was THE mall when I was a kid. It has since fallen on hard times with terrible anchor stores and kind of a has been feeling. Since the new renovations started you can feel the life blood returning. Hopefully they get some sort of dining in there soon then maybe it could be a destination instead of a place to run into grab a pair of running sneakers or a kayak from Dicks

This mall has been dying for quite some time, but it looks like theyre finally revitalizing it. They opened a Dicks and Ulta, so I decided to go give it a try. Since its the holidays, they have a lot of market vendors set up, which actually makes it more interesting and busy. I hope that this move in the right direction continues.

Poor, poor JV mall. Such a popular mall when I was growing up in the 80s. Just a sad shell of a building now with not much going on. Cant see how a new Dicks is going to significantly change the dynamic here. The mall needs some entertainment and restaurant draws to bring back the crowds.

This mall is just going down hill, adding Dicks sporting goods will not save it, and its two main draws, Macys and Sears, will probably go out of business in the next 5 years or so...and then this mall will be a ghost town, kind of like the old "Dutchess" or "Mays" mall..up by Fishkill...

Jefferson valley mall use to be a good mall to go to in the late 90s and early 2000s.. I had a job at the mall back in 2009 till 2011 and that when I really started to see thing change for the worse, ever since Burger King moved out I knew at that point the mall was going down.

This mall is getting a major renovation in an attempt to compete with Danbury and the Palisades, most likely. A lot of stores have closed in the last few years. As part of the renovation, this mall will be getting a Dicks Sporting Goods addition, as well as a Torrid.

If you like shoes, you might like this mall. In my opinion though, it is wholly unimpressive and uninteresting. The anchor stores Sears and Macys are quite past their hay day and not really worth visiting anymore. Overall, there are far better malls in the area.

Its a very small mall, and forget about the food court, only 3 options. But i will say there seems to be more stores opening soon with all the construction going on. Will i come back here? No!! But there is some potential for thos place in the upcoming years.

Very very bare! Not a popular mall at all, its as if theres more employees working in the entire ml than there is customers. Half of this place is either closed down or just empty space waiting to be rented out - Id skip this one.

Like this small medium Mall, it have all I need to purchase for my self. Never to big never to small. I find some sears to gap there. If you want to see just few options and not complicate your life go there...

Mall is hurting. Used to be very busy but a lot of the decent stores left and now it is pretty dead. Hopefully the renovations and the opening of the new Dicks Sporting Goods helps bring this mall back to life.

The mall was recently remodeled. It now has an Ulta Beauty and Dicks sporting goods. The food court is very limited. It has an H&M, Macys, Forever 21, and a handful of other stores. Not the best mall.

Really not a bad mall. Decent store selections, and its never that crowded. The recent upgrades are paying off. The food court is really sub par, but everything else is super easy and convenient.

The JV Mall is a pathetic, shell of what a mall should be. It used to be lively and fun, but then my favorite stores started to close one-by-one. Its kind of a ghost town nowadays.

Its getting better with time as new stores begin to open. Right now is deff the nicest Ive ever seen it, but if you have the option is go to another mall. It is very very small.

Bleak, staid atmosphere. Vacancy store fronts, ruddy food court. Separate entrance for the new Dicks Sporting, the only busy store in the place. Hardly anyone in the place.

Best selection (and quality) of wings in the area and lots of other menu options. Maybe not the best place if youre a vegetarian, but there are some of those options too.

With the addition of new stores, this mall is getting much better. Its great for gift shopping without having to travel too far. Free and close parking, not too crowded.
