Its a decent store. I feel bad for the people that work there.. sure the lines are long, the cashiers can be slow, and some workers dont have the forced fake smiles, but it still amazes me the sense of entitlement and outrage some customers have in this review section. If you are one of these people that are pissed off at the staff for not acting like you are their king/queen, seriously take a step back and look at your behavior. The people working here are not making anything remotely close to more than $40,000 a year from working here as "part time" employees (part time work designation is the only option they have because target doesnt want to pay for the wages and benefits of full time workers). How do you seriously expect the staff to happily kiss your @#& when the wages they get dont even cover the cost to rent the cheapest and most disgusting room or apartment within an hour commute to this target? How about instead of trying to get a grandma or single mother fired for not being ecstatic that they have the privilege of helping you spend a few days worth of their wages on junk food and other comically unnecessary stuff, you just tell them thank you. I can almost guarantee that the staff is working harder on any given day than your worst day in the past year. Outraged customers should be embarrassed by their behavior. It is mind boggling how consistently people act like they have just suffered through a terrible hardship of having to wait two extra minutes to buy their cart full of unnecessary junk food and that the person ringing them up deserves to be fired and suffer through an even harder existence because of their minute and a half of slight inconvenience.

I stopped shopping at Target right after the credit card fiasco, it was the straw for me. T seemed everytime I asked a associate about an item I wad told the associate didn"t have an answer or told to go ask someone else, please! Ione time purchased several items. paid for them and went to my car. When I got to my car I checked my reciept and noticed that I was not charged for the case of water in the bottom of the cart. I went back into the store and told the woman at the entrance that I wasnt charged for the water and had no time to stand in line again, expecting her to take the cart and ask someone to put the water back on the shelf, instead what she did was to tell me to "just take it and put it back if I didnt still want to buy it" Really, is she for real???????? Then came the credit card fiasco, when I called to talk to someone about it, I was treated in a very rude manner. Not particularly a big Target fan to begin with, this was it, for me. I will never be a regular Target customer in any Target. I will run in there if I am in the shopping center and in need of something NOW and dont have the time to drive elsewhere, only then will I go into a Target. I have not been in a Target since the credit card breach.

I had to leave all my items for lunch for the guys at work . Monday afternoon there were only5 lanes open, you couldnt even walk in front of the registers because the carts went into the other Isles, meanwhile multiple middle management employees with long sleeved red button up shirts were conversating with other employees in the middle of Target and up and down the aisles. Customer service even had a long line ,Ive never seen an express lane with the 10 items or less; stretch and curve so long.clearly nobody cares, I guess as long as the sales per hour are good. Complete bullsh*the for such a glorified super store. Gladly miss this target and spend your money elsewhere, theres a no sense of urgency or structure. Went to safeway down the street and had a much better experience. With homedepot right here as well, I have no reason to go back to this Target.

The store was laid out quite well and items were relatively easy to find. The issue was checking out the clerk was not listening to us when we were explaining he was not charging us for both photos, then tried to charge us for extra photos, then tried to charge us for the next persons bananas after we kept telling him those were not ours and asking him repeatedly to remove them from our total. Finally, after all of this he asked us to complete the Target survey and leave him positive feedback. I am going to assume he has just been having a bad day and not leave the feedback as it would not have been positive.

I recently moved to San Mateo and am very excited to have such a great Target so close! This location is large with a great selection, clean, and a Starbucks! It also has self-check out stands at each entrance!! One of my favorite features as I love the self-check outs. I have also found the staff to be quite helpful. One employee spent a good 5-10 minutes trying to help me found a coupon I saw on a sign in the store and it ended up not applying to my purchase. I truly did appreciate the effort as the coupon was hidden quite well.

Tried to shop here today, but couldnt. All the aisles that had the items I needed were blocked by carts full of stock that werent put out yet. This isnt the first time. It seems that the staff just takes inventory, shoves it into carts and blocks the aisles with it, making it hard to maneuver through the store AND a fire hazard. Ive contacted the store management twice (like they care) and will file a complaint with the the fire department. The Dayton family needs to step it up.

The entire store looked like it had seen better days. There were no shopping carts available at one of the entrances, the womens restroom was in dire need of cleaning and re-stocking (no toilet paper in at least 3 stalls), shelves needed some major recovery, the diet coke was out of order, and the soda/icee/condiment area was a mess. Checkout didnt take too long and the cashier was friendly, but I would recommend going to another location if possible.

My husband was treated very badly here in the electronic department, then he was followed. He ended up calling me and as soon as I got there they relaxed. When will you teach your employees to stop being scared of black men? He was wearing a polo shirt and jeans he looked like all the white guys walking around except he had a guy following him. Im really starting to hate target. Im canceling my target card too.
