I went into the Emeryville Target today to discover that the store only accepts 1 like manufacture coupon and 1 target coupon per transaction. This was very disappointing as their store policy states the following: Only one manufacturer coupon (paper or Cartwheel digital), one Target coupon (paper or digital), and one Cartwheel℠ offer can be combined per item (unless otherwise noted on coupon). We have the right to refuse, or limit the use of any coupon and/or the subsequent return for any reason, including if guests reoccurring behavior becomes disruptive or the items are deemed not to be for the purpose of using or gifting. Limit of 4 identical coupons per household, per day (unless otherwise noted on coupon). I was trying to purchase 3 tide pod products, nothing out of the ordinary. So why the need to refuse the coupons? I dont know why anyone would ever want to shop at this store? I explained to the CSM that their policy states otherwise and she proceeded to tell me how they have the right to refuse the coupons period! The whole experience was unpleasant. When we first stepped up to the cash register the cashier was on her cell phone speaking to someone very loudly. She was obviously on a personal call. She didnt care we had stepped up to be rung up and continued to carry out her conversation until we said hello. After seeing we had 3 coupons she immediately let me know that they stopped taking coupons as of three months ago. She turns to her coworker who agrees with her. She proceeds to call the CSM on duty who comes in and is told as soon as she approaches " Tell them that they can only use 1 coupon per purchase" The CSM looks at the coupons examining them as they were fraudulent or something and says we can only take one. I said since when since your policy states otherwise. She continues and says we have the right to refuse the coupons. She never bothered giving me a reason. Turns around and as she does I ask her for her name. She says Jasmine with an attitude to which her coworker realizes she said with an attitude. You could tell she didnt really care about my experience at the store. As if my business did not matter. I am surprised as most companies thrive on giving their customers the best customer service possible. This is not the first time I have a bad experience at this store. I try not to frequent it too often and will never step foot in the store again. I will also let my coworkers know they should go to different store if they really need to shop at Target.

A really good Target. I do wish the clothing offered by the usual brands (Mossimo in particular) had more consistent measurements, size-wise. I have a pair of year-old jeans, size 3L, that are very form-fitting. Almost tight after a wash. They are also very, very short in length. The same can be said of a pair of much older Mossimo jeans, which are 4Rs, though they are a bit less tight, and a bit longer. I bought several pairs of jeans more recently, and I was shocked to find myself barely able to keep them from falling off. Two pairs are size 0 and 0L, and both are also so long that the regular length is okay when cuffed, but the longer length stubbornly refuses to stop covering my shoes, so that I end up walking on them. The third pair of jeans were actually boyfriend-style jeggings, and after I exchanged them twice, I wound up with a pair of 0s, and I have shrunk them twice, so that i can finally keep them up without using my hands, but they are unbelievably loose. No need for that "power stretch," ladies; at least, not anymore. Still, this store has decent selection, and the additional hour they are open is always great... If you miss another Targets hours, you can always run up to this store and grab a quick thing or two. The staff is friendly, and the location is extremely convenient.

Why I went: I was in Emeryville and had to make an exchange at Target and this was the closest one Parking: Decent, but like any Target you need patience. Sometimes you get a spot up close, sometimes you get a spot a little further then you would prefer and you might have to walk a little extra. Customer service: I was able to make the exchange pretty swiftly however, there was this lady who obviously was homeless and sitting on the bench right next to the customer service counter and they kicked her out. I thought that was a little harsh and inhumane. I understood she smelled and was babbling to herself, but it was raining outside and a little chilly. I thought they could have let her stay. She wasnt taking anything of bothering anyone (other than her smell). But maybe Target has certain guidelines and rules to follow? Prices: Typical, had some deals here and there. The products: I wanted to buy some lash glue but that whole section was locked up and no one was around to assist me to unlock it. So I didnt end up getting them. Cant help but to think this Target may get a lot of small robbing? I have never seen the eyelash section locked up like that before. Check out line: May the force be with you. Patience, friends. Will I go back: Only if I am in that area.

Had the most unpleasant experience at the Target store in Emeryville, CA. We went there all the way from Walnut Creek after we saw a Schwinn bike on clearance that the Target website stated was available at this store. When we got there, we were told the bike wasnt available, even though the website still said it was. Also, the bike was in-store only. We were asked to check with Guest Services to see if they could order the bike, or provide an alternative. After a lot of beating around the bush, the Manager Erie arrived to tell us rather brusquely that there was "nothing" he could do. There were several similar bikes in the store that could have been offered. There was no attempt to apologise for the inconvenience. Why post something on the store website if it isnt true, and the staff is unwilling to honour their word? We have been going to Target (at other locations thankfully) for more than 15 years and have never met such a discourteous lot. Never go to the Emeryville store- because they dont stand by their advertisement.

I asked the cashier, whos name I failed to get and which does not appear on the receipt, to not put my eggs in the bottom of the bag. She was going to put them in first before a container of ground turkey, a can of olives, a container of yogurt, a box of tomatoes, etc., and I asked her not too, as eggs tend to break. She then became rude and kind of tossed the other items into the bag, and then threw the eggs on top, then spat the total out at me. Who puts eggs on the bottom of a bag? It seems like common sense, but I was a cashier at a another grocery retailer in my late teens and we were taught how to pack a grocery bag so things wouldnt spill or break. Do cashiers at Target not get this training, just in case the person did not come to the job with common sense? And the attitude I got for not wanting smashed eggs made me want to go home and hide from humanity for awhile. Ill be back because I need Target in my life, but I hope they learn to put eggs on the top of the bag and leave the attitude at home.
