Beware of their “prepaid maintenance” - Beware of this dealer and their shady sales tactics. I bought my bike through a Costco Kawasaki discount, so I had no bad experience with the purchase – the deal was a no-hassle and the price was guaranteed. At the time of the purchase I wisely refused their "prepaid maintenance." IMPORTANT DETAILS ABOUT “PREPAID MAINTENANCE” 1) the prepaid maintenance had a price of about $1,400 including the $300 down payment. 2) the benefits for 6 pre-paid services had an expiration date of 3 years - which meant that they had to be used prior to the 3 year mark. 3) the really interesting part was that the services could only be done in accordance to the manufacturers service schedule which meant that I had to drive over 36,000 miles in less than 3 years to get all 6 prepaid services. Therefore, unless your bike is your absolute daily driver and you are going to put at least 12k miles a year, you would never use up the benefits in less than 3 years. 4) the contract is non-cancellable - the salesman obviously failed to mention this very important detail during the sale. When I took my bike in for the first service I must have been in a great mood because I ended up signing up for it. I paid $300 down payment and agreed to a monthly payment. I soon had buyers remorse. In good faith, I went back the next day to cancel the service agreement. The guys on the floor told me that the only person who could cancel the contract was the same person that sold it to me, but he was off and was not coming back until Monday. I asked if anyone else could help including the Manager, but to my surprise the answer was NO. This started to give me bad vibes, but little did I know that this was the beginning of a very disappointing adventure. So Monday, I took off from work to meet with the only person that could cancel the contract. When I finally met with the most powerful/important person in the store (Yes, I am being sarcastic… I am allowed after everything they put me through plus the $$), he tried as much as he could to convince me not to cancel the service by pointing to all of the benefits and money I would save – how expensive a valve job out of pocket could be (that would have been service number 6 at about 36k miles within a 3 year period). However, I had done my homework, so I explained to him that I only tend to put about 3 - 4K miles a year and as a result I was never going to be able to take full advantage of the service. He continued with his attempts to keep me from cancelling the service agreement. I respectfully told him that I did not want to waste any more of his time or mine and to please cancel the agreement. It was here when he introduced me to the little kept secret. The contract was non-cancellable. Yes, I am somewhat at fault for not reading before signing. However, he had me sign the contract on a signature pad by telling me that the signature was to approve the monthly debit payments. He obviously lied to me and failed to mention that the contract was non-cancellable. If something is worth it, it will not be non-cancellable. This is why they make every attempt to keep this from you. Needless to say, I fought with him for weeks via e-mail asked to talk to the manager of the dealer, who basically ignored me. I even consulted an attorney. The attorney gave me more bad news. In order to dispute the contract, it had to be done out of state as per the contractual language, etc. The attorney basically told me that I got taken to the cleaners and that it was cheaper to pay the contract out than to attempt to fight it in court. This was a very aggravating $1,400 lesson for me. I hope that someone can avoid making the same mistake I made if they read this. Unless you are planning on putting all those miles on the bike within 3 years which was not my case or the case of most bikers.

I own a Ducati Monster 696 ..one day I was needing tires so I started looking in west palm because I didnt want drive all way down to pompano, fl(the nearest ducati dealer) ... I faced that no one wants to touch Marchesini Wheels then I thought lets go to broward is a nice place there are professionals to do this simple job... I went there I asked for a set of tires and they said "yes We have it", I asked if I can put 180 on the back tire.. this guy told me to keep what manufacture says but even in the ducati frame or manual shows that I can put 180 the guy keep insisting to keep it original finally i said yes.. so I asked if i can get pirelli he said that he doesn;t have them. OK no problem .. michellin? he said yes he went to back of the store then he came out and said "we dont have it" so he took an article from a magazine about a comparison between Dunlop, Pirelli, Michellin and bridgestone so he convinced me i said ok Dunlop and they charged 15bucks more per wheel because i have marchesini wheels ... I waited there like 2 hours and no one gives a F**K about the client nobody asked me if i wanna sit or something to drink... no I waited all the time stand up finally my bike was ready the store was closing so I did not have any chances to check the bike so I went home but I noticed a weird sound I said it should be normal cuz the tire is too new ... next day I heard the same weird sound I stopped I checked I noticed that the fender was to damn close I would said 2mm between tire and fender I knew that something was wrong cuz what i know only choppers are like that ... anyway I searched some picture of my bike and online and I found that something was wrong and i realized that the fender was starting to crack ... so I checked again my pictures Fortunately I have taken a picture a day before .... so I took my bike again to broward and I complain about it .. and i spoke with the service manager he told me Its ok we fix it ... then he went to the back to the store and he didn;t show up again after 30min waiting this guy came said Now I;m gonna responsible ... ok then he realized that they put a 120/ 160 r17 tire instead a 120/160 r17 (you need to be retarded and do not be able to read a book which says Ducati monster 696 ------tire ----front 120/160 r17 and the mechanic is retarded too you have been working on bikes and did not notice that something was wrong) so finally they changed my wheel and they promise me that they will change my fender which cost 200bucks and today Is the 3rd week and I;m still waiting my fender ...

Short story dont let them work on your bike. I wrote this on 9/1514 to the manager and service dept with no response. : Hello, I’m writing you because of a service visit to Broward Motorsports to have my 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ABS motorcycle that I bought new at this location, worked on due to an issue of the ABS light staying on. This was on 5/10/2014, R/O Number 63764. At the time I brought it in I informed the man at the desk that I had read that a couple of people on a Kawasaki forum had a problem with a wire or harness around the left fork causing this same problem. The desk person checked and said there were no records of recalls for this wiring issue. OK fine, but if you can see that work order (63764) it was diagnosed as needing an ABS pump. I could not afford to have the shop put it on so I did the job myself. Well it wasn’t the pump as the light eventually came back on (8/09/2014) it was a wire in the left fork area, as diagnosed on 8/11/2014, R/O Number 65280. Since then I have given it time to make sure that this was the fix even though it was clear that this was the original problem. This is very disappointing to me because I bought the shop manual when I purchased the bike to have a better understanding of my bike and it clearly states that the wiring must be checked before a conclusion is reached on this problem. This is the very reason I brought it into what I hoped were the experts. Not only was my heads up as the owner and operator not considered about the wire, but it was completely ignored, this on top of the tech not following proper flowchart procedure in the first place. Yes if I had you do the job I wouldn’t be writing you now, then BMS would be eating a $1000 pump plus labor. I’m sixty four years old and have been working on my own vehicles since I was a kid and have worked as a mechanic and welder professionally for several years in my life. And for reasons of how this event transpired is why I avoid bringing my vehicles to unknown mechanics to work on. I had hopes that a dealership, my dealership, which specializes in these things, would be the exception. I don’t see how I could ever do business with Broward Motorsports again.
