I rented a bike from this place May 2010 while I was in town for a conference. The rates were great, the dude was a cool guy, no problems. I rented the bike for the better portion of a week and it was considerably less expensive than other local shops, and definitely cheaper than taxis or a car rental. The bike worked fine, no issues. If you are looking for basic, cheap mode of transportation and exploring the city, this place is it. Ill be flying in this Saturday for the same conference and plan on renting from them again. Note: they do have some credit card issue where the amount that shows up TEMPORARILY on your online statement is more than what the actual rental cost is. Some type of temporary authorization or what not. They warn you of this beforehand and sure enough its GONE AFTER A FEW DAYS and you are only charged the correct amount. This frequently happens at certain nightclubs as well haha. In the end, its a minor annoyance at first glance but not a scam by any means.

A few days ago I had rented the golf cart for me and a couple of my friends for the day. We had a blast. It was very convenient to use the golf cart instead of our car to get around, much faster and the weather was beautiful so it was perfect. The price for the day to rent the golf cart was very reasonable and the manager there, Bill, was very pleasant. He explained everything to us about how to operate the golf cart since it was our first time (and I had thought it would be a little difficult to operate the golf cart but it was very simple, no issues) and he also gave us some ideas of where to go along the beach, very very helpful. We did A LOT of shopping so the golf cart was perfect for everything we had bought. Now that I know Hot Scooters is very close to the beach, whenever we are down there, we are definitely going to rent the golf cart from them to get around. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. I had a great time.

I had rented 4 scooters for a week for me and my family. I didnt have any problems and the weather was great. Bill, the manager at Hot Scooter, was very pleasant to work with. He made sure we all knew what we were doing, since it was our first time driving a scooter. He went over everything thoroughly with the scooters and made sure we felt comfortable before we took off. We are from out of town, here on vacation, and we were very happy with the rental for the week. When we come back down again, I will definitely be renting scooters again (and most likely bicycles also). They have many different types of machines they rent which is great, very convenient. My husband wanted to rent a motorcycle next time, but I think I will stick with the scooters for me and my kids. Thank you Bill for all of your help and for the wonderful experience! I will be back again soon

Junk bikes. Tourists ride the pi*s out of them and theyre chinese junk that costs 500 brand new. So if you got lucky youll have a good time. I love chinese scooters. However renting them to tourists and then ripping them off whenever they break down. Is a business.model based on taking advantage of people on vacation. I used to rent a 150 every weekend for work and about 2 times a month the damn thing wouldnt get me to miami. Break down about 50% of the time. I finally had enough and left the scooter on the side of the road and told them to come.get it im.done didnt have time to look at it i had to be at work. Junk bikes. When something goes wrong they fix it in the cheapest way possible. Even if its not the right way. My 150s would usually go arpund 45 47 max i finally bought my own bike it went 65 the first time i rode it. NEVER RENT CHINESE SCOOTER!

I agree with the second post. We rented scooters from this place and had a great time on them. The scooters themselves were horrible and with two people you can go maybe 10mph!! I also had the same problem when we returned them. I left and was told everything was fine and then received the rudest phone call ever cursing me out saying his scooter was totaled and he was going to wipe my bank account out if it cost that much to fix it. I had already paid him a $300 deposit he kept and then proceeds to say hell take $1,000 or whatever he wants to take out. I WOULDNT recommend this place to anyone! This guy has no ethics and will take your money! There is however an older man who works there who is extremely nice he let us go. Then we received the horrible phone call from the owner and he went crazy cursing and threatening to wipe my bank out!

WARING DO NOT REPAIR YOUR SCOOTER HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These guys are everything thats wrong in the world, complete scammers! The charged me $165 to fix my scooter, I went to the store paid $165 for a scooter that only costs $800. To my amazement the scooter never started! They took it back in and then charged me another 65$ the next day. They said they fixed my fuel gauge by getting a new one, once I filled my tank the fuel gauge never worked, then the guy told me he just sprayed it with WD 40. They ripped me off said they had replaced parts when all it needed was the carburetor to be re adjusted. DONT GO TO THESE PEOPLE!!! with all this said, if they read this, I hope they know that I curse them and their families everyday!

Me and my wife rented 2 scooters from Hot Scooter for a week and the experience was great. We had no problems at all and the weather was beautiful. The day we returned the scooters it was raining a little so we were a little late dropping them off but the manager, Bill, was very polite and didnt mind that we were a little late, he worked with us. He asked if everything went well, if we had any problems and if we had a good time so we will definitely be back and next time I will bring my family also to rent from Hot Scooters. The staff there are very friendly and caring (which is hard to find) and they want to make sure you had a great experience!

Me and my family are down here in Florida visiting for a few weeks and we needed to rent some scooters to get around with while we are down here. Someone had referred me to go to see Hot Scooter Rental in Ft. Lauderdale and the experience was amazing. Bill, the manager, was very helpful, showing me how to operate the scooters, what to do and what not do it, etc. He even gave us some ideas of what to do in the area while we are down here. We did not have any troubles at all while renting from Hot Scooter and next time we are down, we will definitely be renting from them again. It was a great experience, thank you Hot Scooter!

Id first like to point out the positive, An employee named Will was very patient, promt, and professional. All around great guy. However I Rented a bike that had a slow leak in the rear tire and got a flat miles away from the shop and my hotel. I secured the bike and called when they opened and got told my deposit would be taken and theres nothing we can do. Mike a manager gave me a call and said customer service wasnt his job and started reading me a contract. He was rude, unprofessional and vulgar. This is a shining example of bad business. I will never return and will not recommend their business to anybody.
