Simply the BEST sicilian slice of heaven pizza anywhere! They have expanded in the past few months it appears, which is nice. NOT as big as the Italian Market (Mazzaros) in St. Petersburg FL area, but a wonderful place, surprise. Oh, if you are ever in the St. Petersburg area in FL, do yourself a BIG favor and stop at Mazzaros (about 4 times bigger) you will be glad you did! Not knocking Micuccis, I was there yesterday for pizza (we bought 5 slices), just trying to past on some great insist / information to anyone heading to FL - A Big Cheese Room - A Big Gelato Room - A Big Bakery Room - A Big Fish Room - A Big Fresh Roasted Coffee Room To show Im not picking favorites here, Little Italy in Cleveland, OH is an OUTSTANDING place to stop, as is Little Italy in Toronto, Canada, and lets not forget Little Italy in Boston:) Skip

This message is rating employees and NOT products sold. Ive been shopping at Micucci for over 40 years and have enjoyed being able to purchase products native to my heritage. I used to shop Model Market...remember them? Anyway in 40 years Ive never come across a single rude employee until the past few months. This young man generally works at the counter doling out weighted products. I am angered each time I visit the store seeing that he continues to do a great disservice to a good family owned company. I will continue to shop there since I am unable to find the products anywhere else locally but will do my best to avoid having to interact with this disrespectful, sour looking employee. Why they have hired someone to paint the business as unpleasant, I will never know. See post below by S. Goodell

Ive lived in four countries and have extensively traveled both the U.S. and Canada, and Miccucis Sicilian slabs are one of my all time favorite foods ever from anywhere - seriously! They are completely unmatchable. The slabs are big, thick squares of gooey dough, perfectly spiced "gravy" (tomato sauce), topped with melted, tangy cheese. One of Portlands best kept culinary secrets! At only $5 bucks a slab not only do you get one of the most authentic tasting slices of pizza (a phrase that does this absoltuely no justice), you support the local economy, and will delight your senses with a gastronomical experience I guarantee youve never had before. Do yourself a serious favor and go to Miccucis; it will be the best off-the-beaten-path choice youve made in a long time!

Pizzas not bad but whoever the woman that worked in the kitchen when I grabbed some pizza on 11/19/2016 was so rude. She yelled at me for moving a pizza out of the way by the plate because I didnt use a tissue to do so but she then proceeded to move pizzas up with out any gloves on. Yes I was in the wrong for not using a tissue but theres no excuse for being rude to a customer in my opinion. I dont normally write reviews but I had such a bad experience there that Ill probably never go back and just go to Slabs on preble street instead.

Some of the best pizza on the planet...well worth standing in line for, but sadly Micuccis and its creator, Stephen Lanzalotta, have parted ways. It would be great if they could work out their differences (allegedly over wages and hours for baking assistants) so I could in good conscience continue to support them both. Doesnt seem fair for Micuccis to keep selling what should be Lanzalottis recipes...

The Best Meats and Cheeses. Good variety of pastas and breads, as well as other grocery items mostly imported with some domestic and local. Nice wine selection. Unlike many overpriced specialty markets, the price and value here at Micuccis is great. Hungry? Grab a couple Luna breads, some Prosciutto di Parma, Mortadella, and a wedge of Piave.

There is a good selection of Italian food although not all of the products live up to expectations. The pickled eggplant, for example, was not good. They have all of the ingredients you need to prepare an Italian meal from scratch. For the less enthusiastic cook, they also have prepared food ready to heat.

Do not be fooled by the exterior. This place has INCREDIBLE pizza by the slice in the back (and a nice selection of imported groceries to boot). After months of curiosity and recommendation, I found myself both hungry and in the vicinity; a heavenly combination.

Go here for an excellent slab of sicilian pizza, served out of the bakery in the back. A sweet tomato sauce. You may need to wait in line for a few minutes until the next one comes out. Possible to finish the slab, but great shared with a friend.

Possibly a good store but never got past deli counter at 3:40 pm on October 23rd, 2015 due to extremely rude male employee working the deli counter. Turned right around and left. No sale for rude employees 10 seconds into the building.

Their SLAB pizza is still great despite the loss of its originator to his own restaurant "SLAB" in Portland. Their Italian grocery and deli items are high quality and very reasonably priced. A MUST stop if you are visiting Portland.

Great selection of products from Italy as well as fresh baked bread, ready-to-eat pasta dishes. Nice wine selection too. Worth a detour just to feel as if you are in a small grocery store in Milan.

Great selection of Italian specialty foods and great Italian deli. Controversial opinion, but I think the slab pizza is overrated. Too much sauce, not enough cheese.
