We bought a reclining sofa by united for 624 on sale from 800. And it took a month, and twice it was defective.. First time the drink and remote holder that came down...had a big gap n it.And cushions were all flattened badly..The second time ...not much better. So we wnt out and bought a more expensive on over a grand..cat napper reclining red sofa. I like the looks. Shame we had to pay a couple more hundred for it..But I am happy at how the girls made a effort to have it delivered ..while nothing else was in the truck. And for that I am thankful. Dont know if any others r having trouble with delivery things broken or mashed.. but I am happy at the end now. The girls and salesmen are good..so I am happy at the end...and have a nice couch. Not like we had yrs ago with lane. Real wood underneath. And springs in the sofas like we bought yrs ago at the wards in Winchester. Sure miss them. Furniture then lasted. These now have pressed wood no matter what kind, or how much u pay. Turn it over and c..Not sure if it will last..We do not use it..We have 2 other nice recliners .We bought at big lots..And we use them..save this one for company.The cat napper that is.We use big lots recliners.Now we use them everyday..The big lots recliners that is.It was 399..now at big lots 2016 only 199.Comfortable and last and reasonable..Big lots they r the ones with the back that looks like a big sea shell..so pretty and last..3 yrs constant use everyday..and still good..when these wear out we will hope to get the same type..and go to big lots..for recliners...So after all the malarkey ,we will never buy have schewels again.and because .. They brought furniture ,not in any package..Everywhere else i bought they had it encased, in package and plastic..and took mine the old the same way wrapped it..Who wants furniture that was not packaged..I would worry it was not new,,,or worry it could have bugs..Have not any issue as of now..So all is good..

I have never been in this store nor have I directly interacted with any of the employees there. I am a hiker and do training hikes along the CSX tracks behind the store. Many times I have witnessed uniformed employees behaving unprofessionally. There is an increase of litter along the tracks in that area, primarily beer cans and mattresses. Yes, thats right, there are discarded mattresses long the tracks behind the store. It is a rare day there arent a half dozen or more old mattresses stacked up next to the dumpster. I do not believe the ones along the tracks were blown by the wind or carried there from somewhere else. Some are within sight of the rear parking lot. You might be able to get a good deal on furniture here, the people may even be professional and courteous while inside the store. However, behind the scenes, I would question things.

Worst place ever! Sales people do not let you have time look, they are worse than a used car salesman. They lie about deliveries, I have spent over $10,000 with this store and the Winchester Store. The sales man told us we would receive our table in 4-6 weeks we waited almost 6 months! Bought sofa and love seat, crap! no cushion and falling apart in less then a month, asked to have it taken back for repairs had to wait 3 months for that. The A.M. Mike is an idiot, he hums in the phone and doenst appear to know what he is doing, the S.M. is very unfriendly, not customer oriented at all! I will never spend another dime there and anyone who asks me about this store I will tell them to never shop there that they sell crap!

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! A Nightmare to get them to answer the phone. Bought Furniture, didnt come on time, for a thousand different reasons. Snow, Rain, short handed....NOT MY PROBLEM!!! I paid CASH for this Furniture, & they cant get it here on time? Ordered an Ottoman,...waited 2 weeks, they called & said it was in yesterday. Husband went to pick it up today, it was a Couch!!!! OMG!!!! How do you get a Couch from an Ottoman? Now I have to wait another 2 weeks before I can finish my set with the "Growing" ottoman. I will NEVER by anything from Schewels Furniture EVER again! I will tell everyone what a Nightmare it is to deal with this Company!

Worst experience ever with a furniture company. First - While loading in a rain storm, there was no over hang to load the furniture. Starts of wet. Second - While waiting, the forced me to stay in the car.. No place to wait for the dock to be cleared, and no organization on who is next. Third - Half the furniture ordered - after waiting three weeks was broke, had to go back for another trip Fourth- I had a seven dollar refund coming from them.. There reply is that we dont write checks for less than 100.00.. I will never purchase from them again.. Hope other people are warned. Go to Wolf furniture instead worth the drive north for 20 minutes..

I purchased furniture not long ago from schewel store in Martinsburg. Great experience. I normally buy in Northern Va but I am too old to spend that much on furniture anymore. I found the sales person to be very helpful. They helped me pick out things to match my decor that I described. I was able to purchase during a big sale so I think I saved a lot of money. I purchased a dinette, dining room, rugs and some bedroom pieces. They called me when the merchandise arrived and set up delivery. I was pleasantly surprised with the delivery staff. They were very professional and helpful. I would recommend this store to everyone.

Purchased Double Recliner loveseat and sofa. 3 weeks after purchase recliner broke on Loveseat.. took them 2 months to fix. 3 months later, recliner broke on sofa.. took them another 2 months to fix.. after the first recliner broke we asked to just return the furniture and after just 3 weeks, they said no.. since then, we have had the recliner on the sofa break again... and the warranty is up... soo.. sad to say, since they didnt extend our warranty, we have sold the furniture to a friend, and they are very handy in fixing thingss. We will never purchase from here again.

Purchased 2 livingroom sets awhile back and everything was fine. Purchased bedroom set last week, delivered yesterday. After delivery men left I noticed my dresser feet were offset. Tried to fix and noticed brace busted. Post on footboard sits crooked and lifts up, while investigating that, noticed the foot of post on that side came off. Side rail on that side of bed has a crack near the headboard. You would think the money that was spent I wouldnt have to try to fix this set. Still waiting on nightstands and wondering whats going to be wrong with them.

Everyone has their own thoughts! But I have never had a bad experience. The customer service is always great and the sales people are just trying to be helpful. I went in yesterday and was looking for a living room set. And they went out of their way to make sure not only did I get what I wanted. But also they took full advantage of the sale. I ended up getting not only the living room set! But an kitchen set and the end & coffee tables. The kitchen table set was free! Nothing wrong with this huh!
