My wife and I bought an 08 Ultra. This was the absolute worst buying experience anywhere. We dealt with Matt Evans, whom of all people as a sales manager, you think would have a good attitude so as to set an example to the sales staff under him, and those that work around him. This guy has the worst attitude of any sales person I have ever seen, let alone a manager. He is off putting, callous and quite frankly just plain rude and crass. We spent over 16K on a bike, you would expect a bit better of an attitude, especially from a manager. Funny thing he said to my wife and I while we were sitting at his desk, is that he could care less about this place. He said his son is more important, and if it was Wednesday, he would have already been gone for the day. WOW, great first impression for us about Steel City and a great way to say something positive about the dealership you work for. If you couldnt care less, why should we care. If you do buy anything from Steel City I suggest you ask for Basil or even the General Manager, Sam Pokey Weiss. These two are truly class acts among the staff at Steel City Harley. They treat everyone who walks through the door with the utmost respect. How are you today sir, Yes sir, no sir etc. Same goes for the parts department. Truly great people. They come out from behind the counter to ask if they can help you find anything. I have never been to a Harley Dealer where the parts guys come out from behind the counter to help you, a class act run department . I have been back a couple of times since my purchase. First issue-I had no radio reception. There was no reception the day I bought it, but Basil whom showed me the switches and differences from the Electra-Glide to the Ultra said It may be because of spotty reception. Second issue, the day I went to ride it in, to have them diagnose the reception issue, it wouldnt start and needed jumped. (BAD BATTERY) When I got it there, after a couple hours sitting around, Service also said the TSSM was bad.3rd issue (ALARM MODULE/TSSM). They fixed the reception issue, (antenna cable was pinched -replaced with boom audio hidden antenna). Replaced the battery and replaced the TSSM and when I got home, I noticed I had no alarm at all, so I had to go back YET AGAIN!!! Why no alarm?? They didnt program the key fobs. How on earth can you replace the TSSM module and then NOT program the key fobs?? An oversight, perhaps, but gimme a break you were working on the alarm. Bad service in my opinion. They did take care of the issues at no charge. They should have as it should have never left the showroom floor without being gone over by service, and the items should have been replaced before delivery. I had to make 2 trips back to their shop to get these things taken care of. Its almost an hour and a half one way, and to have to go back again and again, BS. They didnt even offer a gas card as a courtesy or top off my tank of gas or anything else for that matter. However, Because of the fact General Manager Pokey had those issues taken care of at no charge and Pokey, salesman Basil, the motor clothes staff, the parts guys and other employees are super respectful, I would rate this dealer as Okay.

Worked a deal over the phone over the course of about a week and a half, gave me price on my trade in "sight unseen" they finally met my payment and said we had a deal. Came picked my bike up, had it for exactly 1 week to look it over. Called and said they wanted all the stock parts I had, so I gathered every stock part I took off. Got the call saying paperwork was ready to be signed and completed but they couldnt do it that day because the ignorant gm Matt wasnt going to be there. So I set it up for the next day. Finished with work, start my trip to steel city to finalize everything, 15 minutes away, get a call from Matt saying they just found a "minor" dent on my tank, and said theyre not doing the deal anymore and that if I still wanted it, the payment would jump 50/month the equivilant of about a $5000 increase in price. The only person there that didnt seem to have an attitude when you talked to them was the finance lady. Bought my current bike from them 2 years and came back to buy my next bike, its a shame a "minor" dent kept them from making a deal and lost all my business for parts and service from here on out.

Road my Harley there with title in pocket two Saturdays ago with plans to trade it in on a pre-owned bike they had. Asked the sale guy for the price of the bike I was interested in and when told me I knew it was about 2K over what the dealer price should be. When I told the salesman I thought it was a little high and if there was anything we could do he just stood there looking at me and didnt say a word. Literally just stood there stone faced and wouldnt say one word, nothing. I walked away and checked out one more bike prior to leaving. As I was getting off the bike he came scurrying over to grab the bike saying it was going to fall. I am 45 and have been riding my whole life, I know how to put a kickstand down. To prove my overpriced point they have an HD orange 2012 street glide on the floor for with 19,000 miles for 19,485, Hot Metal has the same bike, same year, same color and 11,000 miles for 16,885. Its Aug 10, 2017 now, check it out for yourself. Bought my last bike at Hot Metal and will buy my next one there. Much better sales people and fair no haggle pricing.

I have been riding bikes for over 40 years and have had many dealings with Harley dealerships. Over this time I have dealt with Hot Metal Harley,Three Rivers Harley, Z&M Harley, Zanotti Harley, New Castle Harley,Valley Harley in Belmont, Ohio, and Southside Harley in Virginia Beach. These aforementioned dealerships were run of the mill Harley franchises and delivered run of the mill customer service. But in my opinion, Steel City Harley was excellent in customer service skills and inventory. The sales staff made me feel very welcomed to be there, and were very attentive. How many Harley dealerships do you know that encourage the stranger off the street to sit on any bike to see how it feels? This is one reason why I encouraged my buddy to shop at Steel City Harley after he was jerked around at other Greater Pittsburgh Harley dealerships. The result was he purchased a nice bike at a good price with superior customer service. So thank you Steel City for making my buddy Camerons first experience at Steel City Motorcycles a pleasant one!

My husband and I are extremely unhappy with Harley Davidson. Paying for a name that doesnt live up to its expectations. My husband purchased a trike in 2015. So far, these are the items that have had to be fixed: kill switch, replace the emergency brake, rear brakes, reverse motor, head leak, tank switch, horn button and the trunk lid. He has only driven it for two summers. This is absolutely ludicrous especially for the amount of money we pay for it every month. Also, we paid for the extended warranty and it doesnt even cover the brakes so we have to pay for those. Another $273.00. We have never been so disappointed. You think you are buying quality, but we certainly didnt. Nice weather for two and a half weeks but it was in the shop. No loaner, huge inconvenience as we only have one vehicle and the bike to get us both to work. We will tell anybody thinking about purchasing one to think really hard about the other models out there.
