Rude Service. Period. My wife and I are both professionals, but being our day off, we went into Sherman Bros in casual clothes. Big mistake. When we walked in, there was only one other customer in the store. I picked up a shoe on sale for $200, and sat down to wait for the salesman to assist me. We were not greeted or acknowledged once. As I waited, about 4 men came into the store dressed in business attire. They were greeted, and when the salesman finished helping the first customer in the store, he proceeded to help, size, and fit one of the businessmen who came in after me. I was in the store for a good 20 minutes. I walked out in disgust...without trying on the pair of shoes I was very interested in buying. Poor service. Ill bring my business elsewhere.

I have been shopping with Sherman Bros. at their Philly location for several years now and have always left satisfied. They carry lines from USA makers like Alden and Allen Edmonds and are able and willing to order if what I want is not in stock. They often have special custom shoes, such as the pair of Alden Leisure Handsewn Moccasins in cigar shell cordovan which I purchased in 2011. Their level of service is exceptional, as demonstrated by their helpfulness in repairing the tassels on a pair of loafers that are almost ten years old for me. My next shoe purchase will be with Sherman Bros.

I have a husband and two sons with large feet. My father used to shop at Sherman Brothers when he was alive. They are my go-to store for hard to find sizes and for good shoes that last forever. Heck, my husband still has the Allan Edmonds he bought for our wedding 24 years ago!Weve moved from Philadelphia to Maryland: theyve even shipped us shoes when we couldnt get there. The service is great, the people are friendly. I cant recommend this store enough.

Not sure what was wrong with the guy behind the counter today, but he was incredibly rude and condescending to us. It was our first time in the store and as soon as we walked in the door it was clear we werent welcome. No hello, nothing. The employee (owner?) insulted us when he wasnt ignoring us completely and never once were we offered any assistance. Very strange. Not sure how they do business with an attitude like this.

I have pretty bad foot/knee problems, so my podiatrist said that I needed to get shoes that are extremely rigid. I received great advice and assistance at Sherman Brothers and came out with the Alden indy boot. Granted it was $550, but that boot has been a blessing for my knee. I highly recommend this store and the Indy boot for anyone who needs to make the investment in their feet and knees.

Been going to Sherman Brother Shoes for years. Theyve taught me a ton of important info about shoes that help me make an informed decision; like if you have a low instep you may find shoes that open with a v shape as easy to slip into as shoes that open all the way down to the toe box. But people with a high instep may find the later kind easy to put on.
