Beware of the 3M Bait and Switch!!! Visited the Northfield store interested in purchasing twin box springs and bed frames. Salesperson Mitch presented box springs made by Sterns & Fostere along with new bed frames in the manufacturers box. After purchasing and taking my vehicle to the loading dock, different boxprings and frames not in a box (also somewhat rusted) began to be loaded into the vehicle. I stopped the loaders and asked for a supervisor. Megan arrived who stated Mitch showed me the wrong box springs and frames and I would have to pay $250 per piece vs the $50.00 that was written up on the sales purchase. During the conversation, as one of the dock loaders saw my frustration, he stated not to worry, this happens all the time. Frustrated even more I shared my dissatisfaction with Megan yet she stated she could not make any exceptions and I would have to pay the extra money if I wanted the Sterns & Foster springs. I left very angry and dissatisfied hoping I could get more understanding when I called later as I was in a hurry and did not have any time to reverse or process a return. Upon my return home, I called and spoke with Michelle, apparently the manager on duty, who apologized for the inconvenience and was willing to offer me a discount. When I advised I was not interested in a discount on any future purchase ( since I was never going to shop there again), she proceeded to state she would rescind her offer if I were to enter a negative review on line. WOW... does she need an education on Customer Service in todays competitive environment. All in all a horrendous experience that I offer to any future potential customers interested in looking at this business. Website portrays themselves a a very friendly and successful family business started over 100 years ago but Id have to say father Meyer Max would certainly be unhappy about the service being offered today.

I just moved into a new house and ordered furniture from them as well as multiple other furniture stores. This store has by far and a way the worst and unorganized customer service. I am usually not one to complain and was very pleased with all other furniture stores I bought from, however Kensington made several mistakes and still has not been able to correct them. They had 2 months from the time I ordered the furniture until I moved in to get the piece of furniture for our confirmed delivery date. They called me a day before to cancel the delivery because the furniture was damaged. They told me they were ordering a new piece. When they delivered the "new piece" it was broken. Both the delivery guys and myself identified that this piece had attempted to be repaired and not brand new piece. I asked Kensington for a new piece this time and they offered to have someone come out and repair it. I insisted on a new piece and they said they have to order it and it will take about 5 weeks. I called back several times to schedule delivery and each time it was a different person who has no idea about the situation and couldnt commit to a convenient time for delivery. They had also promised gift cards which I have yet to receive. This is not an organization that puts the customer first and very dissatisfied about their dishonesty and inability to handle situations.

When I walked into this store, no one acknowledged me. (I walked through the entire store --about 15minutes. It was not busy.) Since they had some something I thought I liked, I went back a week later with my mother and purchased the item. I chose to pick up the piece that I bought since the delivery fee was $89. Then I discovered that they gave (my husband) us the wrong item. ( I had to wait in the back for an inordinate amount of time.) Needless to say I was disappointed. They agreed to deliver the correct piece and apologized for their mix up, but I had to make several calls to make it happen. Michelle told me shed call back and never did. When I called back, the customer service acted like I was an inconvenience. I talked to 3 different people before Crystal was able to give a date of delivery. I would think twice before ever purchasing from this store again because if something goes wrong the people are not very accommodating or professional.

Bought a sectional January 11th. told the salesman I needed it within 4 weeks could that be done? he said it "wouldnt be a problem." paid 30% up front. received an email with an estimated date of 3/7. 7 weeks out. Ive called multiple times and spoken with multiple associates and managers and they keep saying that once it goes into production it takes LESS THAN 4 weeks but they failed to tell me it would take 2.5 weeks to go into production. and no one can give me a reason why! I dont mind paying for quality but when there is an agreement of less than 4 weeks I expect that agreement upheld!

I would like to thank Mr. Grossman for the great deal and the quality furniture I recently bought and received. The bedroom set we purchased was not in their stock, but we had seen it online and in another overpriced local furniture store. Kensington had matched the price I had received online, and blew away the local store price by far. All I had to do was ask for a better price. Also, the delivery service was amazingly and refreshingly professional. Give them a chance and Im sure youll be completely satisfied as we are, they will make sure of that. Thank you Again, Scott D.

I have to say I was super surprised with Kensington. The sales people were not pushy and very nice. I dont like it when people come up to me right away and ask what Im looking for because most of the time I have no clue and need space. They have a lot of different styles and different prices. We found awesome living room furniture for a cheap price. $300-$2000 is around what I saw for a sofa. They also have an OUTLET upstairs. They also carry some Ashley Furniture and some of them for cheaper then Ashley. Defiantly check out Kensington.

This was the absolute worst experience Ive ever encountered. We ordered a sectional a month ago and Im still waiting for it. 4 weeks of "missing the truck" and excuses from every manager telling us its in a different state every time when who knows where it really is. Absolutely the worst service just getting lied to over and over again I will never do business there again and I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I have updated our home including all new furniture. How lucky I have been having found Kensington, not only do they have beautiful furniture, but such outstanding and pleasant personnel. My experience with Eladio and Lisa was so enjoyable I look forward to seeing them again!

Kensington is much more than a furniture store. When our house burned on Dec. 23rd and we lost everything....they delivered temporary furniture to our rental until our new furniture came in! Who does that?
