There is only one word to describe the dog groomers at this Petco, and that word is incompetent. Recently I had to switch dog groomers and decided to try the Bayshore Petco because it was close to home... I used to use the Petsmart in West Babylon and LOVED them, but because of my location, Petco in bayshore was a more reasonable drive.... This was the FIRST GROOMER EVER to call me and tell me they are unable to groom my dog!! And their reasoning was because he is aggressive to water and shampoo bottles?? My dog is 6 years old and I have been bringing him to groomers for a very long time and have NEVER once gotten a phone call saying they were unable to groom him. My dog along with many others LOVES water and loves to play in water... does he sometimes "bite" at the water playing with it... yes... but he is in no way shape or form aggressive... and being that he has been groomed NUMEROUS times by several different groomers and NOBODY has ever had this "aggression" problem or any other problem grooming him in the past... I can only assume it is because the people at Petco do not know what they are doing... WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!

The groomers are phenomenal! My cat love a getting his nails done and everyone is always so happy to see him. Its so heart warming to see the lady kiss his head after cutting his nails. The rest of the staff is always welcoming and kind as well to both me and my furbaby. The only reason Ive given this 4 stars, and its partially a company thing, is because I had a scary incident once at the groomers when a woman was telling me how her dog likes to kill cats and not in a warning way, but almost threatening. She then proceeded to walk said dog into the cat food section after watching me go there so the dog wouldnt attack us. Petco needs to make sure that their stores are safe for everyone, not only dogs. There is not enough safety measures in place when mean people decide to take their violent animals into the store. Please put more safety measures in place so my cat can continue to enjoy his little spa sessions in peace.

The worst pet store ever .All the employees were standing around talking to each other in the fish dept ignoring all the customers. When I needed help I had to flag an employee down that was walking by at the moment ,who call up to Nancy who was up at the register,and asked her to page someone to the dog food department .Nancy in response turned and said she had no phone and began to laugh which I thought was very unprofessional . I wouldnt mind if Percocet went out of business because I will never go back there again I did appreciate Jen the woman that did help me.

I came there to get a new a fish for my brother and he went in the rodent section and fell in love with an albino hamster (red eyes and white fur) so we got the hamster and thy sold us the worst cage brand ever saying its "the best" then I realized she has tumor on the day we got her but in all cases I do go there to get my hamster the best food and toys I just disappointed that they sold us a sick hamster (still have the hamster because we also fell in love with her) and gave us worst hamster supplies (still going because its the nearest to me)

Disappointed with pet care. My mom came home with 6 feeder goldfish and one just keeps sitting at the bottom for no reason, the tank is cycled and I do water changes daily. The only thing thats good about this place is the supplies, suggest you get pets from somewhere else then here. Every time I walk in to see Bettas they are either sick or dead... that proves that Petco does not care for your pets.

So, I walk in, got on line but the cashier dude says that I cut the line... Um, no. Then, I cant get a new pet because I just returned one so, I must come back in 3 days. Umm, since when? How many times have I bought animals here, returned, and had no problem?? Ridiculous. The guy who told me this "3 day rule" cut me off when I was asking if I could get a new pet. What a jerk.

Really great bird toys, and not at all expensive! Didnt see much of the store, but it was orderly and clean from what I could see. The man who assisted me knew the personalities of the birds there very well, and was good with handling them. Give that guy a raise!

Love this Petco, all the people who work there seem to really care about animals and are very knowledgeable when you need advice! Deb, the manager in the store, is awesome, always has great advice and really helped me everytime Ive spoken to her!

I usually dont like to post reviews but my dog went to the groomers at PetCo for the first time today and they did an excellent job. He is so clean , nails done properly and he smells so good. And I hate smells! We will be back with Cooper

Been w this store for a few years. Never had a problem. Grooms really nice, and they were super informed about fish and helping w it. Sometimes when i call tho they pick up and hang up quickly but that could be a technical issue

My dog is very difficult and Danielle is the only groomer who can handle him. He always comes home looking dapper and the grooming is outstanding. You cannot get better than this.. professional, courteous, excellent service.

The workers are kind but they are always low on crickets i know tgere not realy advertized to sell them but my geckos gotta eat and im not feeding them dead ones

Always get our dogs nails cut here. No appointment needed and fast service. Employees have always been friendly and courteous even on the busiest of days.
