I just visited this location with the intention of selling some of my daughters clothes. I was told that they are only offering store credit today because the lack of sales today has left them short of cash. I offered to pick up my cash tomorrow but they said they couldnt do that. I asked what about coming back tomorrow & the salesperson told me that it would depend upon the kind of sales they have tomorrow. I have sold clothes to Kid To Kid for 16 years ( including last week)& have always had very positive experiences. Since Uptown Cheapskate is owned by the same company ( & this particular store is just a few doors down from Kid To Kid) I had expected to have the same wonderful experience I have always had selling to Kid To Kid. And from reading websites from both stores very carefully regarding their policies and procedures for selling clothes to them & finding that they are pretty much identical, this also lead to my expectation that I would have a similarly good experience at the Fort Worth Uptown Cheapskate. After this frustrating experience , I went back & re-read both the general Uptown Cheapskate website re: Selling Procedures and the website specific to the Fort Worth location & NO WHERE does it state that on any given day a person selling clothes to them may not be given a choice between being paid with cash or with store credit or that such choice will be up to the particular store based upon their sales for that day. I could understand if this was a onetime occurrence of being shorthanded on cash this one time & not being able to give cash right now. But from what the salesperson told me, it is just luck of the draw each day as to whether a customer can be paid in cash for clothes that they sell. Since I do not want to come back each day to find out if that might be "my lucky day" , then I will not be doing business with this location ever again. And it truly is their loss because my daughter has a lot of super cute clothes . Every single time I have brought her clothes to a resale shop they practically salivate at the selection of clothes we are selling. .

I have sold and bought from this location several times and it was usually a good experience. However, the last time I visited was not. I told the associate that I would like to buy the tank top that was on one of the mannequins. She removed the top looked at me and preceded to ask if I would like to try it on. I didnt think anything of it and declined. But then, she reads the tag and tells me that it is a size small and asks if Im sure that I dont want to try it on. At this point I realized what she was insinuating and felt a little embarrassed. However, I declined again. But to make matters worse she holds the top up kind of stretching it out and says "oh its one of those oversized stretchy tops, itll fit." I was in shock. I could not believe that not only did she tell me I should try it on multiple times BUT LITERALLY SAYS IT WILL ONLY FIT BECAUSE IT IS "OVERSIZED." She was completely out of line and unbelievably rude to even suggest to me that I was too big for a small. I dont think I will be coming back to this location anymore, because I am literally scared I will be judged for the way I look. (BTW I wear the tank top all the time and its actually baggy so

I was not greeted and I feel like I was ripped off. I was offered only $18 for 3 decent pairs of shoes and a brand new denim vest which had $24.99 on the tag. I dont even think they looked at all of my stuff, everything was folded up and in the order I had placed them in. I wasted a lot of time going through my closet picking out stuff to sell when they only took 4 things. Now I have to bring home a basket and large duffle bag full of clothes and shoes and hang them all back up! Plus none of the workers offered to help me bring in my items or help me as I was leaving the store with them. I had my 7 month old in the stroller and had to carry my basket on top of the umbrella part of the stroller with my duffle bag on top of my basket...holding onto my basket with one hand while pushing the stroller with the other trying to get in and out of the door was a huge struggle for me! I am very upset and will not ever sell here again!

I wouldve been okay with the fact that they didnt want to buy my clothes BUT I was not okay with the way they handed back my items. I washed and folded everything neatly but when I picked up the clothes, they were a disaster all piled up in a ball. SO RUDE!!! Not only will I not sell but I will definitely not buy and make sure all my 400 plus friends on Facebook know about your store.

The associate that appeared to be in charge was incredibly rude. The whole attitude of the place was as if you were in some fancy boutique..... Its a thrift store. There was items on the sales floor, with price tags that werent for sale?!?! There were several items that seemed overpriced. For example, a simple tank originally from Target was priced at $17!

I literally come at least 3-4 times a month. This is my favorite place to shop. Its affordable, has WONDERFUL savings deals, and friendly staff. The clothes have a great variety and are always in great condition. Their rewards program is worth joining and I love that they are apart of the FrogSaver community.

The owner/head associate is rude as hell and has very very poor customer service! Will never return here! Horrible owner/head associate! Take my advice and go to Platos instead! I repeat...the owner/head associate is unhelpful, rude, nasty, and careless when it comes to customer service!!!!

Buying here is awesome. I always get great deals on name brand clothing. You have to look through everything to find it. They are picky buying clothes though. Overall, a great place to shop for cute clothes at a low price.

Really cute cloths for an affordable price. Perfect for broke teenagers who need new clothes! Also great to trade in old stuff for store credit.
