their prices are high considering that you are buying used stuff. A $10 for a teeshirt! and their workers are really mean and rude. they dont know what smiling is. starting with the manager berta who is a total B*#ch, seriously she will take the stuff out of your hand if she liked it and will tell you to shut up or leave. she is the worst of the staff which she picks whom very few of them can speak any english (you got to be a mexican to work in that store!). i ask in english, and they answer me in spanish. hello!!!! this america also i dont like how they have only two small dingy and filthy fitting rooms. they are tiny and have no light at all. also no restrooms. with only 2 fitting rooms you end up waiting for a long time the store is also not clean at all. it is filthy. i think if they improve their staff, with smiley friendly people who speak english, clean up the place a bit and have bigger and more fitting room, they would get much more business and they get more rating. also hate that their sale is on sunday when people are busy at church, visiting family and prepping for the week. It is a kind of a scam because they know must people cant go back and get their discount because they are in church or are with family on Sunday. I guess the problem is that loser manager of theirs. She is the root of all evils!

I had a recent horrible experience at this specific thrift store. I bought about 4or5 pairs or slacks and 2 shirts and 2 jackets. While ringing up the cashier realized one of my jackets did not have a tag and told me to go to the other side of the store to get it tagged by someone. Which was kind of weird. I mean she had already rang up all my items and their was a line behind me why would I leave where I am to go all the way to the back of the store?? I politely asked her to call someone up to assist with the pricing which she was reluctant to do. When the so called "manager" came up she said I had to wait 20 minutes for a price. Which was absolutely terrible. Why would I wait 20 minutes for a price when I was currently in line. Well some random woman rudely interrupts our conversation and says "because thats how things go here" I couldnt believe someone interrupted our conversation and was so incredibly rude. I then had to tell her to mind her business and that I was not even speaking to her. She replied "well your speaking to my friend ". I could not believe that the manager had allowed a friend or whomever she was to her behave in that manner to a paying customer. I paid for my items and left. What terrible Customer service I received and did not receive an apology.

The prices are high and the staff are rude and mean to the customer. I guess the staff treat the customer in such nasty way because they know you are poor thats why you are there buying used stuff. Its not a shame to be poor, it is a shame to by nasty to other humans for no reason. The place is dirty, the clothes are on the floor, there is poop and blood on the walls in the fitting room, and the floor is uber nasty. Their staff treats you like you are begging from them starting with the managers tdown the lady who watches over the fitting room. Prices are not reasonable considering that you are buying used items. The points can be redeemed only on Sunday which is not practical. I suggest to the managment to change that system so one can get the sale the next time they come over or on a work day or maybe the last day of the month you made the purchase. Just a thought. I decided to stop going there after going there for years. better go to Texas thrift You can get nice things for less than $100 but they suck the soul out of you by the way they treat you

Staff is very unfriendly! Would it really kill you to smile? Debbie downers in there! Some items are really overpriced; $21 for a pair of used jeans!!! I was completely shocked at a thrift store (all clothes are DONATED) would charge so much for an item they received free. Most of their items are priced well though. You just occasionally run into something being expensive. I dont like that their tops dont have sections BY SIZE, they go by color and then sizes within that color. So there will be a pink section going sm/med/lrg and then lets say an orange section doing the same. Which is inconvenient because you physically have to search through everything to find the size youre looking for. I generally wont go here. I prefer the Texas Thrift Store on Cooper more of a selection and they actually have sections by size and color coordinate within that size.

I used to be a regular customer to this store. Then I applied for work their 7 times. I have experience in retail and experience in thrift and non profit. I am a single mom who lives just a cross the street. Their manager there is dismissive and she ignores me every time I apply and talk to her. But then when I go there to shop I see that she has hired more new people. I asked one of the ladies who works in the register (The pregnant one) and she told me that the manager hires only hispanics. And the only way to get a job there is to know her husband since he is the one who brings the employees to her for a price! Now how am I supposed to find her husband and why do I have to pay him to get a job. I am not going there again. Not until they get rid of that manager and stop being racist!

They have a system that supposedly saves customers $ on Sundays but you have to spend money all week or go in one day and spend $ for example if i want a 50 percent off on sunday I have to spend 50 bucks all week Its a vicious cycle. Ive had several problems with management. I paid for something realizing a second later one item was too much then they said sorry no returns I was like but I havent even walked out with it!! No returns no exceptions. They also input my phone number wrong so the 50 dollars i spent during the week was not applied to my account so they didnt want to give me my sunday discount...it was a mess!!

I have been a customer for a long time now... Pre-renovations. I havent had any problems with any of the employees. Now, I have never seen one in the aisles or anything.. But why do you need to ask someone wear something is?? It is pretty self explanatory. Pants are in the pants section, shoes are in the shoe section.. Shirts, etc.. You get the point. I agree with some of the other comments, but they have made a lot of changes and added new people. I always find something good there. Collins Thrift is one of my 2 favorites in Arlington.

Im really surprised at all of the negative comments. Yes the employees mostly speak Spanish and are all Mexican, but its that part of town? I didnt know about the manager, but I guess that explains it. The kids clothes are all reasonably priced. Everything is very organized EXCEPT the household goods section where pillow cases are thrown in among towels. I have a very fashion conscious teenager and he managed to find a whole "skinny jeans emo" outfit complete with leather jacket for $16. so totally worth it.
