Every item here seemed to be a dollar or two more expensive than in competing stores. That said, my primary complaint is against the surly attitude displayed to me by the staff. To begin with, the security guard approached me in the aisles, under the pretext of my having left my headlights on, with his hand on his pistol, then proceeding to ask for my ID. Fair enough. While checking out, I was carded a second time, but it seemed standard enough so I didnt complain. When I attempted to pay using a credit card, I was carded yet again. Ive been a customer of several liquor stores in the Atlanta area, and almost none have requested identification specifically for credit card transactions. "Well, thats the third time," I murmured softly to the cashier. I assume her day had been rough, because she launched into a furious, wild-eyed tirade, threatening to ban me for raising another objection; I had to remind her not once, but twice that I was not attempting to escalate the argument! I give the store an extra star for cleanliness, which is at least a proper use of the staffs evident obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I just moved to GA a month ago from Ft Lauderdale FL and I moved to a "dry" county where there are no liquor stores.. So while i was out in Suwanee I found this gem of a liquor store.. In South Florida there are liquor stores on every corner and the service is pretty much non existent besides them taking my money.. So when I went to this store, i expected nothing more. However I was pleasantly surprised when a handsome young man came to rescue me from my dilemma of indecisiveness (as there is a huuuge variety). I dont remember his name, but I will always remember to go to this store even though its over an hour away from where im living. Also when i was leaving the store, the same handsome employee was attending customers helping them with their bags and all.. I love this place :) - Yanni aka Blairsville

This store would normally get 5 started for the employees. Lets face it Maga Package is just a liquor store with a fantastic staff. I am withholding the last star for the prices. To be fair they often have good deals but their is a lot of skin on the bone for the owner. Im basing my narrative on prices from other larger chains, some of which operate in other states. In the end it all comes down to how much you sell. The beer selection is amazing and the rotation of brands is great to see. Liquor prices at Mega Package are on average good but I still buy elsewhere and save $3-$5 per bottle doing so. That said there is always someone close to help you and offering to reduce your shopping time. You dont find that at other liquor stores.

Nice selection, very good prices but unacceptable service! Do Not go to this store if you are a person of color.. Ive been to this store on two separate occasions and both were terrible, I left the store feeling very offended! Today while I was waiting in line I watched the cashier check out two customers that were in front of me who paid with cash. When I reached the register my total came out to $23.60 so I gave the cashier 2 $10 dollar bills and 4 $1 dollar bills ($24.00) Now why did the cashier check my 2 $10 bills with a counterfeit marker, when the two people in front of me paid in cash with no problem?....... this is the second time this has happend....

Ive been here several times and never once received bad service. There are typically plenty of employees on the floor, constantly restocking and arranging product on shelves that always ask if you need any help. Ive never had my credit card copied once either, as another reviewer commented. Prices are medicore. My only complaint is that all smaller sized products, such as samplers and pints, are kept under the counters where you wouldnt even know they were there unless you asked, making it almost pointless to even stock them. Also, this store is extremely busy on Saturdays, making parking a pain considering the location at times.

An older red haired woman (dyed?) was ringing my wife and I up. She couldnt get a price on a bottle of tequila and didnt know what to do. I offer to go get the price. I come back with the price of 35.99 and she pulls out the bar code scanner, points it at my face and says in a condescending an sarcastic tone " Say that again and I will scan it. " I was stunned. She continues "I cant enter a price without a barcode. No one can." Well guess what another employee did. For her in just a few seconds? Rude, unprofessional and condescending. A good place but dont have that older red headed lady be your cashier.

Overly zealous security guard. Approaching passengers waiting in their cars, and asking "what are you doing here," when its quite obvious theyre waiting on someone to come out of the liquior store. The general manager refused to apologize and tried to justify why it was okay for this idiot to knocked on my teenagers window, with a gun and traumatized him for life . I wonder how hed feel if it happen to his child. #CustomerFor19YearsNoMore.

When I returned a keg shell for a swap, they forced me to pay another deposit. Every other beverage store that Ive used does not require an additional deposit if you have another keg shell to swap. And apparently when the store changed ownership, they lost all the deposit paperwork, which means they "cant" (wont) refund my original $50 deposit. I guess I will only be doing business at all of those other beverage stores in the future.

Mega Package was closest to my house according to Google Maps so that was the store I went to. However, this is the store I will continue to buy from because of how I was treated and the variety drinks they offer. I was greeted at the door and an employee helped me chose the liquor I wanted while also showing me different flavors and brands I might like. It was just an overall great experience and I will be going back!

The people are nice and helpful. I do get a vibe that the security guard is watching me, I guess cause I look young so I dont appear to be 21. I always go to the same old lady. We have small talk every time, she remembers me and doesnt ask for my ID, except when the manager is and is polite. Dont listen to those who say its slightly more expensive than other stores, its cheaper here! I love going there :D

This store makes a copy of your credit card. Only after you complain do they tell you that you can not be required to do so by law. I have been a large long time customer--but no more. Also, you can get the case bottle price for wine on one bottle at Publix.They are only against Sunday sales because they dont want to have to open up to compete.

So I live in Lawrenceville where there are no liquor stores. I have to drive to this liquor store whenever I want to buy alcohol. They are very friendly, very fast, very economical and I dont feel like they profile me even though Im a black person. And the security guys are pretty cute
