We placed an ad on Craigslist for our car. Cherner Brothers, without indicating they were part of a car dealership, inquired about buying it and came to our house. Two people showed up, Carey and another person, who I will refer from here on as the "angry guy." They did not say what dealership or company they represented. They seemed very unhappy about our car and some issues with the paint job. The "angry guy" repeatedly asserted that the door had been replaced and that the car had significant damage. After repeated questions (which began to feel like an interrogation), I finally asked if they wanted to buy the car or not. The "angry guy" said he did not. Not satisfied to leave our unpleasant interaction there, he then said that I had been dishonest with him and should be more forthcoming in the future. (Thanks!) I should also mention that at the same time as he told me our car was terrible, the "angry guy" repeatedly also offered a low-ball price. It is not every day that used-car salespeople, under pretenses, arrive at my home and insult me. But yesterday was a special day. I believe these people are unprofessional and are using intimidation and insults to try to negotiate better deals for their car lot. And I am quite certain if there is anyone who needs to be wary in dealing with them, it is you and I, the consumers of Yelp. PS, this was our review from Yelp. Afterwards, we went to their site where they bill themselves as "The most friendly car dealership in America." Hahahaha.

Two year ago, I bought a 2009 Honda Accord from Cherner Brothers Auto Brokers. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have discovered that the dealer did not disclose that the car had been in a major accident with $7,500 in front-end damage. I have also had to replace the engine. During the process of replacing the engine, my mechanic noticed that the engine had already been replaced because the VIN number on engine did not match the VIN number on the car. At the time of purchase, the dealer also did not disclose this information. The dealer’s lack of candor makes me question the true mileage of the car. When I purchased the car, the odometer reading was approximately 56,000 miles but this number does not reflect the mileage of the replaced engine. This was my first car purchased with financing and it has been a terrible experience. In addition to paying on a car loan, I have had to spend over $7,000 in major repair work. If you have experience a similar issue with Cherner Brothers Auto Brokers, please join me on Labor Day weekend in protest of the dealer’s lack of candor. Bring a sign in protest of your issue. My sign will say “I BOUGHT A LEMON FROM CHERNER BROTHERS”.

I have been looking online for a used car for about 3 months. I really dont like the stress of buying a car and was not really looking forward to the entire experience, usually the aggressiveness of the sales personnel. Having said that, I really want to express my gratitude towards the Cherner Brothers Auto sales, specifically Carey. I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. I live 2+ hours away, and when I arrived to purchase the car I expressed interest in, it was sitting ready at the entrance, just waiting for me. As soon as I arrived, I expressed my need to move quickly so I wouldnt have to wait in evening traffic. I was in and out within and hour. I didnt even have to wait for them to fill the tank with gas, because it was ALREADY FULL! Carey was very easy going and helpful throughout. I really appreciate the extra effort and I will recommend Cherner Bros. to all of my family and friends. Thank You!!

Im writing this in response to the review written by Harrison Sherman, my son, concerning our experience with Cherner Brothers. First, they were generous in continuing to try to fix the starting problem even after the warranty had expired. As my son said their efforts did not fix the starting problems. The starting problems were fixed after I took it to my mechanic, that I have gone to for years. He performed a complete tune-up. Replaced the spark plugs, they had no tips on them, and spark plug wires. He replaced the air filter, which was filthy, the PCV valve, the plenum gasket, and cleaned the fuel injectors. Now the car starts and runs like it should. The Cherner Brothers and I discussed matters and in the end they offered to payfor the tune-up. So they did go the extra mile to take care of the problems with the car and I thank both of them very much.

I recently purchased a Toyota Tundra from Cherners brothers and couldnt be happier. I was shopping around for quite some time trying to decide whether to buy new or used. Once I stepped foot inside Cherner Brothers my decision was easy. The vehicle they sold me was in immaculate condition and the sales staff was genuinely happy to help, unlike those big car dealerships and carmax where they want your business but dont want to spend any time trying to earn it. They understood I wasnt in any rush to purchase my vehicle and were very patient in helping me find exactly what I wanted and allowing me to make my decision unlike most pushy dealerships. I am going to be in the market for several cars in the near future for my kids and I will look no further then the kind folks at Cherner Brothers, I would recommend them to anyone!

Bought a 2008 BMW 335xi from them. The price was competitive, around $17,400. The trade in value for my 2008 328xi was a little low $12,250. The car needed a coil, oxygen sensor, front bushings and some maintenance items were neglected. They offered me $400 towards the repairs or I could back out of the deal. I was just down for the day so their mechanic couldnt rectify any of the problems. I took the $400 and put about $4000 into the car, some of it elective. Overall, I would say that it was a poor deal because so much needed attention. My advice is to take the car to a mechanic before buying it.

I had A great experience buying a car through Cherner auto sales. I had been searching for a specific car for over a year, without any luck of a dealership working with me to get into the car I wanted, til now. These guys were kind, patient, and very helpful on my purchase. I have never had a car payment (been driving for 30 years) and was a bit intimadated by doing so, but these guys worked with me, and made the transaction feel comfortable and affordable. I can not express my gratitude enough to these guys or about this experience!!! Thank you so much to all of you!!!!!

Cherner Brothers was very responsive via email from the start and willingly provided the Carfax report for the car we were looking at. Upon arriving, we did not feel the pressure one usually feels from used car salespeople. It was clear that they only wanted to sell us what we wanted to buy. The car we came to look at was exactly as described. The only thing in need of fixing was the AC, which they had fixed and delivered the car to us within two days at no additional charge. We would gladly buy a used car from them again.
