This petco is nice to buy supply from but if you want to know more depth about the animals their selling. For example, I bought two Goldfish from there. One tank was closed because the fish had the disease ich but the other tank was open and the employee insured me that the fish in the other tank were not infected. Two days later my fish died from ich even with treatment. If you do ask a question and they give you an answer measured you do your own research to find out if it is true or not. I had to find out on my own that what I was told was false.

I had an appt for grooming today and the groomer called in sick. So they left me a message another groomer could do it. When I called back she said hang on, then to the other person said "you have time for this cotton thing or whatever?" then tells me they cant help me, Sorry. This lady had maybe a 3rd grade education and was in no way professional. Im there 2 times a month and spend an average of 200 for our pets. No more! Petsmart got me right in, they were professional and helpful.

Tried to call there store 13 minutes before closing time. All I wanted was a short answer to a short question, and I let it ring till one minute before closing. No one would even answer the phone. That is poor customer service. Poor management, lazy personnel. I mean how hard is it to pick up a phone and say, " Hello Thank you For Calling Petco. Sorry I am busy with a customer right now. Ill be with you shortly."

One of the only places I go for my pets. They have the special cat food my cats need & plenty of other odds and ends for both my dogs and cats. It can get alittle expensive but you can earn reward points towards purchases, get a Petco Pals card. If you purchase a calender and support animals in need theres plenty of coupons and they do have some good sales at times.

I enrolled my dog in the adult 1 training class. They pushed my classes back by a week and the trainer was a half an hour late for the first class. And when I showed up the first day, they had no record of me signing up for the class. The training she has received so far has been helpful for both my dog and myself, but they are terribly unorganized.

I take my yorkie/Chinese crested mix here for grooming every month or two. Great value. He always looks so handsome when theyre done. Nails trimmed, tail all floofy and bouncy, glands expressed. And always in a reasonable amount of time. Planning on making yet another appointment for my dog and a friends for an afternoon doggy day at the salon.

my issues arent with staff its with the parakeets they sell. My sister lost (died) 3 in a few months at different purchasing times and than I got two there maybe 2 months ago and one just died. I don’t understand why this is happening. It’s heartbreaking. If I decide to replace the bird will go to an actual bird store not pet.

Marion is the best groomer ever. My doggy has never been easy to groom--he likes to fuss about it. In fact, other groomers have refused to take my dog (PetSmart). Marion is able to groom him and to do a wonderful job. Thank you, Petco!

Its a pet store so theres nothing they can do about the smell but otherwise the supplies they had for sale for the most part were reasonably priced the live animals appeared to be in good health and well taken care of.

The biggest issue for me is that staff has master of avoiding customers. You can walk thru the whole store without anyone looking at you and saying hello. And when you ask for help the knowledge base is poor at best.
