I took my puppy to PetSmart Grooming Salon and was severely disappointed for many reasons. It was the first time my dog had gotten groomed and I expected that they would take this into consideration in the way they treated him. However, they did not they treated him as just another dog aka just another number aka just another dollar. They took him into the back and would not let me watch. They told me that it would take no longer than 2 hours and would call me when they were finished to come pick him up. After 2 hours I still had yet to hear from them so I went to the store to see what was going on. When I arrived I heard my dog whimpering in the back. They told me he had been done and waiting for me over an hour. They had never called to let me know like they said, they just sent me an email which I was not looking for. I was devastated hearing my dog whimper and knowing that he had been for so long. Then when he came out his hair was an inch shorter than I had asked it to be and he looked awful. My mom actually cried when she saw him. The groomer then had the nerve to tell us that he was not the most cooperative. Of course not! It was his first time and he was nervous, it was her responsibility to make him feel as comfortable as possible and that was clearly not done. Whats even worse is then the next time I went to PetSmart with my dog he refused to go into the store and cried. This shocked me because before he was groomed he loved going to PetSmart. So I can only assume other horrible things happened I am not privy to. I will never take my dog here again and would not recommend anyone else either.

I wish I could give this store 0 stars due to the fact that when I took my 16 month old puppy here we had a horrible experience!!! This was his first time every going to a groomer so therefore he was timid and shaking which I think would be normal for any dog in an uncomfortable or different environment. When I gave the girl at the front desk my dogs binder (where I keep all his important information) she was looking at all the wrong papers so I politely told her she was looking at the wrong stuff and directed her to his rabies vaccination sheet. once I signed the waiver form, she took my dog to her table and began to shove the clippers in his face and like any dog would do he moved his face away and after 30 seconds she brought my dog back to me and said she refused to work on him because he was "too timid" so I asked if she could at least give him a bath and once again she refused and said I should take him to get sedated in order to get him groomed long story short I told the girl she was ignorant and shouldnt be in the grooming profession because it was obvious she was also nervous I mean she didnt even pet the dog to TRY to calm him or make him feel a little comfortable mind you this is a 5lb Toy Poodle! I would NEVER recommend this place to my worst enemy they are absolutely HORRIBLE with poor management. In the end I took my pup to PETCO where they were AMAZING they went above and beyond with my pup the staff there was so friendly and you could tell they were all animal lovers so Im happy Ive found him a new groomer to go to #TeamPetco !!!!

My husband and I brought our two small dogs to the Greece, NY Petsmart to be groomed for the first time tonight.We worked with Tatijana in the grooming department. She was EXTREMELY rude and told needed to shave my dogs smaller than the smallest hair sample because they were "lightly matted" when I asked questions for them to explain she continued to very rudely tell me that she was going to shave all of them. They would not work with anything I asked about... even to not shave her TAIL that was not the tiniest bit knotted. I finally agreed and then she told me that it would be an additional charge for the mats on her neck. I asked why I was not told this when I was told the price on the phone (after saying they had mats on her neck) and she tried to tell me that we said they DID NOT have them! We proceeded to agree with the extra charge, regardless, and she told us that she is REFUSING to groom our dogs because she "wasnt comfortable" because I wasnt happy with what they were going to do...even though I agreed because we needed them done badly. After driving 20 minutes to get there and being spoken to very rudely for 15 minutes with no help or cooperation, she downright refused to groom our dogs. I will NEVER go there again and if anyone was smart, they would stay away from there, her specifically.

I am so outraged that I feel the need to share my terrible experience with PetSmart Grooming in hope to prevent this from happening to anyone elses dog. For the last 8 years, my family and I have been nothing short of amazing owners for our little baby boy. He has always been given the best care, remained out of harms way, and spoiled with homemade meatballs nearly every night for dinner. After an unnecessary 3 HOUR appointment at PetsMart Grooming services, My dog (Bichon/Yorkie) came home freshly bathed, cut (like a poodle) and severely stressed out. After two nights of moaning, I noticed a red lump the size of a golf ball on his bottom area. Four fearful hours later waiting at the Vet., I discovered that his lump was filled with blood. The Veterinarian assured me that there was no possible way for him to develop a hematoma this size without being dropped traumatically. I put my dog in another adult’s possession that is supposed to be professionally trained at handling animals, and he is now injured for the first time ever, and I am $150.00 short from examination and anti-inflammatory medication. PetsMart Greece COULD have at the very least let me know of the incident that day to save any last bit of respect that I had for the groomer. I will never go there again.

We brought our dog to this PetSmart to be bathed, have his ears cleaned and his nail clipping. He is a very, very young pit-mix rescue and overall a very curious, yet super friendly pup. Needless to say, walking through the store was very uncomfortable from the judgmental stares by the staffers. he was greeted by Alyssa, who was very rude to both my girlfriend and my dog. Judgmental stares, poor customer service skills and an overall unfriendly vibe from her left us feeling uneasy knowing that the confirmation email said that she would be the one working on our dog... My dog was only bathed, his nails were not clipped and his ears were in the same shape as when we walked in. We paid $30 to have him basically shot with a hose... Jen was kind enough to tell my girlfriend to bring him back in when it would be quieter so he could be cared for properly. Needless to say you have a good egg in Jen, but there seems to be quite the bigoted opinion in general by the staff.
