Very friendly service and decent selection, especially for Japanese Maples (as mentioned). Sadly, there were no roses, only knockouts. I recommend calling if you have something specific in mind, however , youre bound to find something if you are "just looking" which is what I fell victim to. I am a little concerned about the fresh human feces remark earlier.... as a public health issue. I was also concerned about the quality of the plants. I know that deterring japanese beatles is difficult (especially from the Japanese maples), but they were on quite a few of the plants. The roots were overgrown in some of the pots and quite a few plants did not look healthy/due to lack of care and overcrowding.

I wanted a Japanese Red Maple and that seems to be a specialty at Lake Anna Nursery since they had 300 (!) in stock when I called. Ive purchased other plants here as well. This is a family-owned business and they are proud of their 35 years experience. I was given careful instructions for the planting and care of my purchases and all of my questions were thoughtfully answered, though the place is very busy on Saturdays. "Young Steve" helps you find what you want and choose the best plant for your purpose. I am so glad to have this resource - I will be a continuing customer.

Love this place. Ive been there several times for fertilizer and Im always treated to the "special batch" the owner cooks up himself. He augments it with fresh human feces for additional nutrients. My prized tomatoes wouldnt be the same without it!!!

Recently purchased and under new management, from the second I stepped foot on the property I was well taken care of. I feel like Lake Anna Nursery has had a new life brought into it with its wonderful new staff.
