Update April 2017. Still no response from my reach out to Petsmart. And true to my word I have not been back there. The Pets Hotel --- Beware! They obviously dont care. Below is my experience with Pets Hotel: If I could give 0/5 starsI would. Google makes me give at least 1 star. Petsmart Petshotel NEGLECTED my dogs health ---- I went on holiday to the UK. I trusted Petsmart Petshotel, Maple Grove, Minnesota, USA, to take care of my dogs. While overseas I received a voicemail that I need to call the hotel. I dropped what I was doing and called. They told me my dogs had not used the bathroom in 3 days. And that they needed to take them to the vet. They were also not eating well. Of course I said yes to have them seen. I was perplexed that both would all of a suddent not be able to use the restroom. The Vet called me back later that evening and told me that my dogs checked out fine and they just needed to be taken outside to use the restroom. They told me that some dogs have a hard time using the restroom in the designated indoor facility when they have been well trained. The vet told me this was NOT unusual to happen. So great -- my dogs were not going to die. They just needed to be let outside on grass. And I was made to worry for nothing! BUT ...... Why the heck did the hotel MAKE my dogs wait for 3 days????? If this is a known issue why not let them outdoors after 8 hours? I cant even hold it 8 hours much less 3 days! And they wonder why my dogs werent eating that well? Maybe because they needed to use the bathroom????? Am I the only one that sees this as NOT rocket science? Any human, let alone a pet owner, could tell ya the dogs needed to be taken outdoors if they are not peeing indoors --- especially when you have prior experience of this! The hotel is aware this happens. So they shouldnt wait for a medical emergency to arise. Again -- 3 days!!!! It is horrible for animals health to force them to hold it that long. And in my opinions, and I think any SANE persons mind, that is nothing short of animal abuse and neglect. I wrote petsmart via their website and expressed my grave concerns for this idiotic policy that will not allow the hotel staff to take the dogs outdoors. If it is a liability issue then they need to better train staff on how to handle dogs. I also wrote to them concerning their grave neglect of my dogs health while in their care. I have yet to hear back. I will NEVER use Petsmart Petshotel again and I advise everyone to BEWARE.

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience at this place. It broke my heart to pieces to see how my rescued dog was discriminated at the PetSmart Pet Hotel. He is the sweetest dog you will ever know (really!) : He gets along with little people (1 and 3 year old) who has a really "rough love" for him. He gets along with other dogs everywhere, including foster dogs we have brought into our home to share his toys, food and family with him. He also gets along with a cat my husband just rescued and brought into our home and who loves to eat the dog food and scratch everybody, including the dog. They play like siblings! But despite of my dogs great behavior that was actually rewarded by an employe with a nice petting on his face, I was told that because he looked like a "mixed bully breed" he was not allowed to play with the other dogs and that meant that he would be stuck in his little cell for 4 days unless I decided to pay an extra $16 a day for a half hour play with a staff member, away from the other dogs. A staff member said this was just a "stupid corporate rule" and so the fact that a coporate and the individual working there was allowed to discriminate against my dog just enraged me. My dog is a part of my family and him being discrimated like that because of his looks is just not ok with me. Needless to say that I canceled his reservation and took him to a friends house where I am sure he is getting all the love he is used to. While driving my dog out of the store I just couldnt contain my emotions and as always, my best friend gave me an urgent and concerned look while raising his paw to "pet" me as he always does when I am upset and right then and there I knew I had done the right thing by being loyal to him and not submitting him to a place where he was so wrongly discriminated.

I took my puppy (Pom-Maltese-shih tzu) to get groomed at this location. He had recently been neutered and had some matting by in his hind legs and a little by his neck from the cone. I was told that they would have to cut out the mats and re shape him for due to the matting. They did not only cut out and reshape. They shaved him completely down to the skin. He went from having about six inches of long hair to completely bald except for his head and the end of his tail. I was horrified. His pink skin was visible and his head was completely mishapen and his tail was ridiculously short. With fur he looked as if he could be 20 lbs now he looked as if he was 2 lbs. The groomers were so excited about his new look, and I could have cried. Several of the groomers couldnt be older than 19. Minimal grooming experience and poor people skills. Needless to say I would never take my dog here again.

Worst service ever. I bought online, product arrived damaged, and I was told to return it to the store. The manager refused to do the return because it was "for a lot of money". No sh%$ Sherlock, that is why I want to get my money back! This guy had ZERO concern for me as a customer and the money I had paid. BUT IT GETS WORSE! I went to another location to do the return, and the first manager had called ahead to warn them I was coming and to reject my return. And he didnt even know where I was going, so he must have called multiple locations. This level of service was actually negative, because he ACTIVELY tried to screw me over. He went out of his way to make sure I didnt get my money. Incompetent, condescending, passive aggressive, self-interested, and just plain rude and awful service. This manager should be arrested. Worse service than a DMV in hell.

Be careful when you bring your dogs here. They allow antisocial dogs come that insigate fights. Then, when you take the time to give explicit instructions, they ignore them. They fail to contact you and charge you for a service that you DID NOT request. I have been to many petshotels and this is one of a few that we will NOT be repeat guests of. I wish I did not bring my dogs here. My dogs are a part of my family, and I feel that my dogs were discriminated against solely on their breed. I am sorry, but if you are scared or are not comfortable with particular breeds, DONT work at a pet store!!!!

We boarded our dog while in Vegas - weve used the pet hotel numerous times and have never had a problem until this last time which we will never bring him back again. They called us twice citing our dog had blood in his bm and had to be picked up. My mother in law picked him up and he was covered from Neck to paws in diarrhea. They didnt bother to clean him up and based on his looks he must have had diarrhea in his kennel and slept in it. We now have to pay an additional cost on having him professional groomed because he fur is so stained. We will never use this hotel again.
