**************PLEASE READ CAREFULLY********** If you’re thinking about taking a loan out with CARHOP/UAC please I mean please THINK AGAIN and go look for a more flexible cooperative and attentive inspiring organization that you can tell your family and friends about. NOT an Organization that doesn’t give 2 middle fingers about you or your situation they just want YOUR MONEY and you SIGNING YOUR LIFE AWAY to some BS. I’ve been a customer of UAC since March of 2016 when I purchased a car for my birthday BIG MISTAKE. I pulled off the lot with a lemon it was in the shop the second week I purchased it, the shell was beautiful but the inside had issues, my window wouldn’t roll up once I rolled it down so it got rained in, the breaks was bad the list goes on and on. Since me purchasing the car I have made all my payments with no problems. These last couple of months I’ve been getting garnished so my income has changed. Me being the person I am I let CARHOP/UAC know what’s going on with me to get my payment modify during this trying time in my life, since they scream we’re here to help you with your credit. So I have my garnishment documentation in hand to prove to them my situation is real. I go in to my “Account manager’s” office to speak to her about my concerns Maplewood location St Paul who’s really a collection rep. To see if I can get 3-6 months of payment modification until my garnishment was up to help me survive being a single mother of two. Don’t you know how horrible my experience was first she was unprofessional calling other customers threating them with repossession and collection for non-payment do to them losing jobs while I’m in the room with no disregard to the customer’s privacy? Now mind you I’m a paying customer coming in the room while she’s on the phone trying to get payments from other customers. She looks at my paper work and says “ok how much are they taking and how much is still owed” we go over the numbers she says “you need about 5-6 months of payment modification so let me see if we can work with you”. She’s the manger according to her card, so I thought her word was bond with assisting me with maintaining my payments to keep this GOOD CREDIT UP. NOPE she calls her “supervisor” for her supervisor to tell her to tell me to get a second JOB?????? Are you serious with no disregard to me being a single mother with two kids? How dare you and I’m the customer that’s trying to maintain my weekly payments. It just shows you what their bottom line is MONEY they are not here for you to build your CREDIT that’s LIES. The moral of this story is TRY TRY other places you will regret it in the END. If a life situation happens to you they will not work with YOU!sad I hate this company frfr!

I think the people that gave positive reviews HAD to have been paid to do it because theres no way in hell this place is worthy of even one star. Shannon, the manager, is a complete liar and a crook, as are most used car salesmen, but he takes the cake and he was outsmarted by me, a 19 year old girl. So I put down $300 on a used car Tuesday and the other $200 was due that Friday. They swiped my card and sent me on my way. Friday rolls around and I get a call saying the $300 didnt go through, Western Union screwed up, yadda yadda yadda. Not my problem. But did Shannon offer to set up a payment plan to correct HIS dealerships mistake? Did he even apologize? No. He instead tells that if I didnt pay the extra $300 by Monday, it would be put as a repo on my credit. Having only had the car for 6 of the 7 day return policy, naturally I returned it for a refund. Shannon then lies and says that there was no record of me ever paying and that the dealership owed me nothing. He even had the blonde butch from UA lie about it even though I had just signed the paperwork for a refund with her the day before. So I threatened to lawyer up and he said hed "check again". Two days later I get a call saying my refund was ready to pick up. I go in and Shannon claims he didnt know where it was. Gloria, a very nice, very professional employee, pulls the check from a pile of papers on his desk and hands it to me. Bottom line, I was desperate for a car. But in the end, I almost ended up in a worst situation than when I began. So please, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CARHOP. You WILL regret it.

The CarHop experience has truly worked for me. I have a reliable vehicle that is almost paid off, a warranty that is there when I need it, and my credit score has climbed substantially for making on-time payments. I couldnt be more happy with the staff, the help, and opportunity CarHop has given me. I would like to also personally thank Andria in their Warranty Department. Since my car went out of commission; she has been nothing but patient, kind, and understanding. She has gone above and beyond to help me get my car fixed and back in working order for me. As a single Father who works full-time, her help and understanding in getting my car fixed has been a big help and relief. She has made this whole experience stress free for me. Andria, thank you so much for your help!!! I truly appreciate it. Also, a big thank you to Shannon for managing such a great crew at this dealership. Everyone I have ever encountered has been beyond helpful and friendly.

Chris was more than helpful during my experience at car hop. I was in a really tough situation and needed a car badly But most dealerships turned me away. Chris helped me find the right car and he helped me get approved for the loan. while I was on the test drive I noticed a few issues with the vehicle that Chris was not aware of, he simply put it in our contract that they would make those repairs. Walking into the dealership I was very nervous about The situation especially after reading some of the other reviews on here, but I can genuinely say that I walked away feeling very comfortable and well taken care of. He answered all my questions and didnt say or do anything that gave me a shady vibe. Carhop may not be the best situation for everybody, but for somebody like myself who really needed a vehicle and was not in A position to purchase one at a traditional dealership, carhop is great option. Definitely would recommend.

i couldn t come up w/ my caretaker s last name,had more than 99.00 to lay down on down payment. But he said SORRY, i cannot help you with a car cause you cant give me your caretaker s last name, I knew right away when he said that,THIS PLACE ISN T RIGHT! Went to a car dealership near my house right after that,came home with a beautiful 2011 ,payments were PERFECT &got a bumper to bumper warranty w/ my monthly awesome payment.And when talking to personal & writing things down on my app.the radio was VERY loud,when i was TRYING to communicate w/ him,i let him know it was too loud,he didn t do a thing about the volume,i had to read his lips the rest of the time we talked.
