My experience buying grocery from here is very nice. We always purchased grocery from this store when we stayed in hackensack. I always found what I need and I liked the food which they sell at back and also from their restaurant beside. Their idli wada uthapam and meals are very delicious and very reasonably charged . The owner may be weak in English but is a very good person. I am not a maliyali but never faced any problem asking for anything, they always understood what I meant and gave me what I asked them for. He and his wife have been very kind to us. They close around 8pm if I remember right , but when they got to know that I was pregnant even after locking the doors when they saw me they always opened the store for me out of kindness. I remember even in cold winters and during snow he opens the lock for me and allowed me to buy my grocery. I usually dont write reviews but this is the only way I can thank them for their kindness.

First Place that comes to my mind when thinking about purchasing Indian stuff. They not only sell Groceries, they also have a small kitchen where you can get very tasty and hygienic South Indian food (take away) for very nominal rates. For the folks who like getting Indian fishes (frozen and at times fresh), Annapurna is your place. And, if you are looking for some Indian utensils (including Indian Earthen ones), Annapurna is the place. People there are really helpful and friendly, be it the person at the counter or the person in the kitchen. However crowded it is, they will attend you and will assist you in finding things if you do not find it.

This is an Indian grocery store owned by folks from Kerala. As a Keralite myself, i find things here that are not available in other grocery stores. Regarding customer service, i found that i had no issues at all probably because i speak the language. I can see how others can feel like the service is bad if the person sitting at the counter has poor english speaking skills. They have a catering division in the store and i take out food that will last a few days for me. If they have fresh banana chips available, i highly recommend buying some. they are yummy. I would go back to do food takeouts again.

I went to this shop last week, the shop is very small and had very few Items which are costly compared to other Indian groceries. They also sell some idle and vada, both of them were cold. The person in the store gave very very dirty look as if seeing his face in mirror. Whenever I think of vada, that idiot face comes in front of me. I didnt talk to the owner, but they should fire this fellow only then they can get new customers... whenever you go there dont buy vada or idle, he would have prepared it with his dirty hands...

I being from Kerala one of my friend referred to go to this place ..since its owned by a Malayalam guy...This Grocery store is the worst one i ever saw in the US....Forget about prices which are rock high...the vegetables are picked from garbage and sold here..not to mention i got some frozen stufff and thrown up after eating them....seems like they switch off the refrigerators to save power...and spoil the the frozen food...beaware when buying stufff with this store...

The grocery store is modest with Indian condiments and not as big as some of the "Cash & Carry" stores. The catering makes fresh stuff. Good customer service. The new vegetarian restaurant is good. There is no other vegetarian Indian restaurant nearby nor anyone doing only vegetarian food. I recommend any of the Dosas. Enjoy.

never going back to this place.. highly price stuff when we went to this store, the guy there was forcing us to buy stuff.. literally putting any thing into our basket.. probably he thought this would make us buy anything.. but he was wrong, we left the baskets there and left the store

They mix beef with there lamb. They claim its because people dont like the taste when its all lamb. The menu should say so. If you are Hindu, beware that you might be eating beef when you ordering lamb.

Get a lot of sputh Indian grocery items especially Kerala items. They also have a kitchen at the back serving Kerala chips, badam, beef fry, fish curry, kappa, fish fry, fish peera and more.

The food they make is ok - just seems like they dont use fresh meats all the time. I think if they had a professional chef it would be lot better.

I went and found many cold vadas. They should consult the vedas about the vada, and the veni vedi veci about the soggy navrattan underwear

Very nice people that run this place. They have every thing you need. They also make fresh snacks like plantain chips and Vada onsite.

Not much of variety and the person at the counter is dumb. I would go to this place if and only if I have no other alternative.
