I have patronized Shoprite in North Rockland for more than 20 years. When the Shoprite in Garnerville opened, I was thrilled because it was closer to home, cleaner than the one in Haverstraw and it hired local people. My experience today has confirmed what I have been trying to avoid. My local Shoprite in Garnerville has lost customer focus and it seems like the General Manager doesnt care. The Meat and Seafood departments are no longer a source of customer service and quality food. It is too often, the cuts are poor and if you ask the butcher to get you another, the response is disheartening. Ask for a porterhouse and get handed a shell steak or T-bone. Ask for beef ribs and have them tell you they are on the shelf and show you oxtail? This evening I was referred to as "Poppy" and told to come back tomorrow morning when I wanted a combo pack of ground beef, veal and pork. I love my local Shoprite and I am always impressed by the amount of time and goods they donate to local schools, services, girl scouts, boy scouts and local teams in soccer, softball, baseball, etc. It is a real shame, it is no longer a one stop shopping experience and I now have to go to other supermarkets to get meat or seafood. I would love to come back and give it a better review, but from my recent experiences with customer service, the deli, and the meat department.....I guess it is time to move on.

I placed an online order from this location the beginning of April. The driver arrived April 2nd, delivered what we ordered and left. As he was leaving he backed into my garage door and left. I called the store and the manager, Joe I think, said he would notify the delivery company. Two weeks go by and no call. I call back and same manager is very short with me on the phone and said he passed on the message then hung up. I called the corporate office twice and was told it could take a few weeks to get back to me. It is now June and no calls. I have stopped shopping at Shop Rite due to this issue. We spend roughly $800.00 to $1000.00 a month on groceries.

Manager gave me extremely hard time trying to get my daughter her first price plus card claiming she.needed to show id when she didnt have a drivers license stony point shop rite offered me as many cards as id like without any type of hassle. I havent shopped in the garnerville store in years due to that.

Worst shoprite Ive been to. Shelves are empty or dont carry brands or variety of things. Also items are all over the place. Not in category compared to any other store. Also asked for certain item locations and employees didnt know where they are.

No matter what time you go the checkout lines are always a nightmare. Aside from the atrocious check out times I cant complain about anything else. I usually find what Im looking for. I recommend ordering from home to avoid the lines though

Absolutely no problem with (c) The Staff however along while ago and product sold there and i,m certain was manufacturing issue was large but since Nabisco whole Grain product has been rectified. Sincerely c Thanks

Food is fresh,very good flavor. Reasonably priced. Everything freshly made but dont expect it ready in 10-15 minutes,more like 20-30 but still worth the wait!

This store is very old and dirty looking.If you travel to a third world country you will see a nicer looking and modern store.Very sad.
