Took a trip yesterday to the local petsmart, 35th ave greeley co. So I could take a look at the pups from the humane society of weld county adoption greeting. Petsmart had a training program going on also. Meanwhile back with the kids petting and playing with the pups, a dog fight breaks out in the training program area, the staff starts running around as if they do not know what to do, i walk over there to possibly see if I could help and notice a small maybe 40lb terrier holding on to the extra skin and fur of a almost full grown German shepard, it had its place where it was not hurting the German Sheppard but it would also not get bit right there. The shepard crying of coarse and the supposed dog trainers trying to get them away from each other, one trainer starts punching the terrier in the face to force it to let go. Well first off if a dog is scared and then these idiot trainers start to hurt the pup I would not let go neither I would freak out more and possibly turn on the human who is hurting me. If I was younger and did not know how to control me temper I would have beat that trainer to help the dogs out since they wanted to abuse the pups and ruin some trust between the dog and humans. There is these things called break sticks, even a tightening of the collar to break air supply, oh better yet water works also. This company had lost a long time customer along with family and friends due to these supposed trainers that work there. If you say you are a trainer but yet cant stop a small dispute between dogs your a actor not a trainer and should never even own a dog of your own. Its folks like you who give and breed a bad name whether it is a pitbull, staffordshire, rottweiler, doberman, shepard, any breed for that matter. Its been 24 hours since this happened and I still feel the same way and when I walked out of the store for trainer abuse of a dog. Again if you say your a trainer and do not know simple tricks of getting dog disputes handled you are not a trainer.

Its a pet store and they are generally pretty friendly. When we go we always take our dog and she loves it. They have a nice grooming salon too but you have to be very specific about what you want because different groomers do things differently. They are always running sales and have different pet charity things happening. They have cats and kittens to adopt in cooperation with the Weld County Humane Society. The most important thing to us is that they will accept coupons AND they price match their website which is often extremely discounted compared to the in store price. You can also buy online and pick it up in store for no extra cost. They have a pet hospital also but weve never used it so I cant review that aspect.

I give the grooming department 1 star for actually scheduling my appointment right. After driving 30 minutes to my appointment, they inform me my groomer called in due to a family emergency and had tried several attempts to contact me but wasnt able to reach me. Pretty sure if I knew I wouldnt have an appointment when I got there I wouldnt have driven in to town! Yall had no problem contacting me the day prior to bump my appointment up. This department needs to get organized and work on their customer service. I will not come back nor will I recommend them for their services.

They are always short handed. I had to wait 2 weeks to get my dog in for grooming. She was then 1 day past her rabies shot so after waiting 2 weeks they canceled the appointment. Got her rabbies done the next day but had to wait another 2 weeks. Then 2 hours before her appointment they called. Had to move her appointment because they were short handed, still. Now my dog had to wait another week. They 1) couldnt see her rabies would be up when they booked her? Yes they could. Could have taken care of it now my dog had be suffering waiting 6 weeks. Going somewhere else!

My Bichon Frise got an ear infection within a week of his groom. I think Kyrsten, his groomer, plucked out all of his ear hair at once instead of a little at a time. He has been groomed several times and he has never been so irritated with his ears afterwards. I was hoping it would clear up in a few weeks but now we have a trip to the vet tomorrow. My dog didnt look very happy when I picked him up compared to other places. Besides all of that, the groom looked really good.

This PetSmart needs to be better about feeding their animals. I saw half of the fish there dead! I spoke with an employee to ask some stuff and whatever, they all sounded depressed!! Its so annoying to find a pet that I would like to adopt later dead. And what if a little kid saw it! This is very unacceptable. And the customer service wasnt service wasnt pleasant, they were all rude. Thanks for your time.

Only ever has one lane open with 5+ customers in line. Tonight, the cashier was Becca. When she asked if we had a phone number, I gave her my area code and she misheard me. So when I repeated my area code she rolled her eyes and started typing. The rest of the transaction she didnt say a word. Worst customer service from a pet store that Ive ever received. Definitely will start shopping elsewhere.

this place js pretty bad. every fish i was i knew where starving. these people were so lazy that they put vacation food in their tanks! they cant live off of that!! every betta fish are stored in this tiny cup!! i dislike this place. never buy and animal from here. if youre here to see dead/hurt animals then go ahead. who wants to see that its sad! if u have a real heart

PetSmart always has Royal Canine Glycobalance dog food in stock that my red heeler needs to help control her diabetes. PetSmart also has all the supplies we need to take care of the rest of our pets including snakes, rats, and cats. Friendly staff with great service. I love how they support our local animal shelter with food drives and adoption events.

Some of the staff is just dreadful to deal with. Its disappointing that for a store that caters to pet owners and sees tons of animals in a day that the staff could be so rude and miserable. Its not worth going in to be treated poorly by management none the less. Will no longer support this store or any other PetSmart.

My little Dachshund-Terrier mix wont let me touch her nails, she listens to them! And the oatmeal shampoo and conditioner make her sensitive skin feel better! I hope they start to groom cats some day!! I have a finicky girl that needs them too! ;-)

Horrible. Dont take your pets here. They will make you pay for something, say it didnt go through and then try and make you pay for it again even if you have proof from your bank that you have paid. Horrible. Please proceed with caution.

Amazing selection of fish! They also have a few caged birds like finches and a fancy conure. I love going here to watch the animals! The prices are good too and the staff is helpful! Btw, they also have a tag engraving machine.
