What customer service? I called to find out if their Western Union machine was working. Spoke to someone in customer service who told me that the machine was working. I took the 20 minute bus ride there on my lunch break. I get there and the and not only is there a sign on the machine saying its out of order but theres no one available in the customer service department. Apparently the one person in the entire store who can do man the customer service desk is on their lunch break for an hour. So now Ive wasted my time and money. If only the person who answered the phone actually bothered to check if their WU machine was working. Thanks for nothing!

What great service!! We needed to order deli trays for people to come to the house after a local funeral. I live out of the area - I called and Steve the manager and Buffy in Deli were terrific. Took my order ( and a credit card though they dont usually do that) and I was set. Got there yesterday (8-26) day of the funeral - stopped to pick up - - all trays were ready - - And they were gorgeous:). Always use my local Safeway for party trays - but these were really outstanding!! Thanks to you it made our memorial gathering very special.

Avoid this Safeway if you can. It is poorly organized and the checkers are agonizingly slow. Ive made the mistake of popping in because I thought it would be convenient only to find myself cursing as I wait and wait and wait. On top of that the entrances to the parking encourage a lot of bad behavior among motorists. Its only a matter of time before theres a pedestrian fatality.

Open more registers. edit: gharg, I hate this place. The checkers are always, always grumpy. Edit: the parking spaces are narrow. The music is terrible. Edit: i stood and watched two deli people talk to each other for about a minute. They just kind of ignored me. I also noticed today that the pay terminals at checkout look like theyve never been wiped down, ever.

This Safeway is in the center of busy Grand ave. Really convinuint loacion. Although in front the door always has homeless, charity or other different organizations asking for some sort of favor. I usually polite and smile walk by, but it makes some pressures when walk by them. Couple time I would rather go farther gorecy to avoid the akwwardness.

This is by far the worst Safeway Ive ever established. Stock and supplies are limited with slim pickings. This store is consistently understaffed with long lines and slow to help customer service. The Safeway corporation needs to either shut it down or better yet invest into adequate staffing, space expansion, and a better supply of products.

Overstuffed, cramped neighborhood store. Some of the veteran employees are pleasant and efficient, but many of the new hires are surly and slow. Frequent beggars out front. The parking lot is an eyesore with loose gravel and all the painted lines worn off. Feels like a big FU from Albertsons (the owner corporation) to my neighborhood.

This Safeway is the first I would go before 51st location. The reason is, its not too big with hectic scenes. Theres not much noise and its quieter. When ever Ive doubts about the receipt, CS counter is within steps for register. No waiting for personnel to jog from backnof store to help.

Been there for over 5 years. Vege: fresh but expensive. Normal stocks Emplyees:horrible. (Specially employee name lashaun, she always looks un happy, lack of service and bad attitude) . This store need more employees, alwyas lined up and employees are not nice.

A crowded parking lot, small selection, and the fact that there is a much larger, newly built store just a couple miles down the road makes this store unappealing for anything but convenience shopping. If the lines arent too long.

Safeway is small here, limited space as Safeways can be huge. Having their Club card allows you to purchase goods at a better price. House brand items are still a slightly better deal. Watch for temporary sale promotions.

I was there around 7/730pm, and unsure if their meat counter was open. It wasnt "shut down" nor was anyone around, but seemed early to be unavailable. I waited a bit, and checked around for someone, but nobody came around.

Very friendly staff but the selection is very limited, Safeway on 51st and Broadway a few blocks away has a much better selection but this one is great in a pinch. It has a parking lot, but no self check out.

It is a small Safeway, and during peek daytime hours the parking lot is full, but the employees are courteous and helpful, but expect a small delay at the registers, as there are never enough cashiers.

This is a nice Safeway is a decent neighborhood, but is smaller than average. While they have a large parking lot, it is often full due to people taking spaces while visiting other stores.

Found my favorite whiskey on sale with a club card...try Russells Reserve, itll let you enjoy the evening (or morning depending on your schedule) and sleep well feeling great the next day!

Ive been going here only when necessary for for years. Theres ALWAYS a crazy long wait at checkout and theres never enough staff. Glad the larger Safeway opened up Grand. I go there now.

Decent store but small, and always seems understaffed. The line in the evening is always super long but they never open another line so it always takes 10 - 20 min to check out

Its not a bad safeway but its not as big as the one at Rockridge or in Alameda on Southshore. The bathroom upstairs has an elevator so its handicap friendly.

I onl y like it because its handy, being close to where i live... otherwise, the lines are way too long, and the cashiers *need* to call for help.

Poor customer service, constantly running out of product and tight aisles. The staff is utterly indifferent to customers. Badly managed.

Smaller store but it has most things youll need for a quick trip, and at least there is some parking in the lot most of the time.
