Due to the good reviews here I wanted to lease a Nissan Leaf from this dealer and was actually really disappointed. I worked with Chris Harshmen and a sales person Lee, and yes they have a nice smile and treated us nice at first but didnt last long. First I worked Chris I told them I am comparing lease prices from local dealers, I gave them what I am looking for and comfortable with, he checked with his managers and they didnt even care to get my business, simply told me to go to other dealer. They didnt even care to ask if I could go up higher on my budget, simply sent me out the door. After a week later i went in again to see if they would want to move their over loaded number leafs in their lot, and simply to know they cant lease me leaf to my pricing and that their hands are tied and cant offer good deals on a lease for the leaf. Since there was so many good reviews here, so i thought I give them a third chance, so I followed up with him and he told me that wait a few days for better incentives and discounts. I had a feeling that he was trying to trick me to wait and the Nissan lease incentive would expire that I would have no choice but to go with them. I came in the dealership again and instead of giving me good news, he gives me bad news as the turn of the month incentives went down and residuals went down. He simply padded my back and didnt care to look at what they could offer me in a lease. So I worked with the other sales person Lee, he really tried to help us to get a deal closer to our budget but at the end their prices were almost $1000 more than I got quotes from two other dealers! I gave them not one, not two, but three chances to get it right, but they simply did not want to work with me and give me a lease that I gotten from two other local dealers. They say bunch of things to make us think we are stupid and that a lease from other dealers wont actually exist. Well I gotten quotes for lease from $800 to $1000 cheaper from Beaverton Nissan and Tonkin Wilsonville Nissan for the same car and lease terms. The other dealers were upfront with numbers and willing to work with me on in negotiating to a really fair lease charge, I had a lease calculator and the other dealers numbers made sense. So $800-$1000 more expensive at Nissan of Portland to lease the same car and its sales/finance department not willing to work with me, so I am happy I went with another dealer and didnt give this nissan dealer my business, so glad I didnt loose my $1000, well who knows if they wouldnt actually charged me for more than their quotes.

This is been a great place for a while for me.. yet like any other dealer when they have a chance to drain you off money, they will all the way. . Here is my story. I bought a 13 Pathfinder out of state and i had it delivered to me. Clean title. I always had it serviced at this NOP location. 2 years down the road the dealer service department found out that the car was in a collision before and took advantage of me. I brought the car to NOP for a oil change service and they told me that there was a recall that had to be done also. After the full (about 2.5 hrs) service i drove home and 2 minutes after leaving the dealer air bag light came on in the car. I called the service department to tell them, and they told me because the car was in a previous collision there must be a wiring harness problem or other glitch in the system. . (2 years was fine. . Right after the dealer service i had problems o_O. Really? ). Anyways, they told me that i can bring the car in for service but this will not be covered under warranty because of the previous collision. The estimate from the dealer was to diagnose 2-3hrs @ $100 per hr than to tell me what the problem was. . So, i searched for an alternative. I have a pro that works on all electrical problems on cars, (computers, seat belts, check engine lights,) (genius guy) i took the car to him for diagnostic and repair. . The guy spent 4.5 hrs trying to check all harness and trying find out what was the problem and the only thing he was able to find wrong with the car was the main computer was re-programed with a corrupt program and it was reading the air bags at fault. (Huh, i wander how that happened). 2 years there was not a single problem and when they found out that the car was in previous collision they had to reprogram the main computer so they can charge me later $$$$ big money for service. Buy the way, the guy that fixed my cars air bag problem charged me $175 for full repair on the car 4.5hrs. Thanks to the NOP. They would have charged me only $200-$300 only for diagnostics on something they messed up and took advantage of me. . BE AWARE OF THESE KIND OF SERVICE YOULL SPEND 1000s of $$$$. One (*) is tooooo much to review. But i hope no one will get burned like i did. STAY AWAY FROM N.O.P SERVICE *******09/08/2016 ** UPDATE*********************** ASA YOU CAN SEE - THEY ADMIT REPROGRAMMING THE AIR BAG COMPUTER IN THE REPLY FROM NOP..

And to top it off they didnt even fix the door like we asked. We cant open the driver passenger door from the inside. UGH, this place sucks! Funny I see all the 5 star reviews are being responded, but none of the bad ones. Everybody has a different experience, but from what I see the Service Department is getting horrible ratings. Wonder if Ill get a response. This is the 2nd review Ive done on Nissan of Portland. I posted one when we first got the car as nobody was returning our calls. Should have known then to bring the car back and go somewhere. Havent even had the car a year...such a shame. Horrible Service. We havent even had our car for a year and the lock on the passenger door stopped working, now you cant even open the door from the inside. We called and they said they had to order the part, set a date to go. My husband forgot to go, so we called to reschedule and were told that they had to order the part again. So, youre telling me you used that part so that tells me that this is a recurring issue. Not good. My husband just called and was transferred several times and finally got the right department and she put him on hold then came back and said oh wait I should have gotten your name and number, then my husband a question and she says let me check with my manager and after 2 minutes the line when dead. Nobody called back because she didnt get his name or number. Ive gotten several letters saying the warranty was going to end and theyve tried contacting us several times (no phone calls ever received) and I called them twice to tell them we have extended warranty as we bought in September 2016 for a 2015 model. I certainly hope I wont see another letter. Frankly my husband and I feel like returning this car and buying it from another dealer. Their service department sucks!!!! We will never EVER go there and buy a car from them.
