Their groomers are THE WORST. I have two dogs a Chihuahua (3lbs) and a border collie mix (90lbs). When I brought them in the girl (who I think has never even washed her own hair, because its always so greasy), says to me "Oh great a Chihuahua." Which made me very un comfortable and I said that to her and she just rolled her eyes. Another girl took my collie and looped their temporary leash and led him back to where they were grooming. I was only having them trim the Chihuahaus nails so I went and grabbed a few things and got in line to check out. The check out faces the groomers and you can see everything theyre doing. Instead of putting my collie in a kennel, they were letting him just roam around the grooming stations dragging that leash and of course he doesnt want to be there so he tried jumping up on the door. The girl who was rude to me grabbed that loop leash and just yanked him down choking him and causing him to fall on his back. It pissed me off so bad that I threw down the things I was buying and ran in a told them to give me my dogs immediately. They tried to act like they didnt do anything wrong, like I didnt just see them! I dont even shop there anymore, would NEVER trust them alone with my animals.

A few years ago the store manager got tired of having sick animals so he had an employee sneak a few dozen animals to banfield to be put down. All they needed was a little rest, cheap antibiotics, or to be adopted to a home that would give them special care- which employees are always willing to do. But no, he killed them instead. Corporate got kinda mad. But the man still runs the store where he refuses to take animals to an exotic vet (not banfield they are cat/dog place.) There is a mobile clinic that would come to the store, but no. Easier to shove them away to die. He also harasses employees for being female, but again, that is OK. He rewards the employees that hide in the breakroom for an hour, then go on break by making them full time. Then when things dont get done he yells at everyone who was trying their best, but the lazy ones are OK. Never give this place money until management is changed. Besides, Amazon, Foster and Smith, and Chewy websites have much better prices and PetCo has a better rewards system.

They hurt my cats. I went on a trip over the summer, so I left them with my family. My family took them to this Petsmart one time, but they came back wet. The grooming service shouldve included several treatments, but I dont see any sign of them. When I returned from my trip, I took them for grooming myself. When I arrived, my cats were very scared even though they usually behave very well, as if they had a bad previous experience. Yet again, they were wet even after 3 hours of grooming. When I asked why they were still wet, they claimed that they dont dry cats, and they still did try to dry them, but the cats were too stressed out. One cat is shedding insanely because of course they didnt dry him, so they didnt comb his fur either. Even worse, my other cat started bleeding when they came back because they clipped his nails too much. This place is very unprofessional. Ive had a much better experience with another Petsmart. Dont take your pets here, especially cats since they seem to work mostly with dogs.

Horrible experience. Bought a coupon book which included an exam at their vet. Our dog had been there before. He became sick over the weekend We took him in while the vet was at lunch. The counter person began stammering about how the clinic was now "Corporate" and things were different. They had some cancellations, so she we see if we could leave or dog or come back. After going to a closed room, she said they were not seeing any more pets today.They refused to treat and obviously sick and hurting animal. I believe it was because of the coupon. I would have gladly paid. They had openings, but would not see us. They have lost a customer for life. UPDATE: From the latest info. The clinic is enforcing Banfield Policy of only see so many pets per day. Dr. Sheppard was on duty and made the decision. The office said another doctor would have probably seen our pet. We took our dog to our old vet and discovered he had a ruptured disk in his neck. Very serious. Being treated now.

The first time I had my dog groomed at Petsmart, they accidentally shaved her nose (even though the instructions on the paper explicitly said no to do that). Because they were so nice and upfront about their mistake, and comped some of the services, I decided to give them a second chance (hair is just hair after all. It grows back). Sadly, tonight was a really bad experience. The grooming salon was filthy. The staff was severely overbooked. And I didnt like the way the groomer treated, or talked to, my dog. She was way too rough with her when she put her collar back on (my dog is little - a 15lb fox terrier). Tonight the staff was so unfriendly and unkind to my dog that I decided not to take her there again. I definitely wont be recommending the grooming services at the Gunbarrel location to anybody I know either.

I have been bring my dog into this petsmart for 4 years.Today I brought her in to get her usual grooming and was told her shots were out of date.I asked to see the copy that I had brought in because I knew she was up to date.They didnt have a copy just said she was not up to date.My dog gets her shots in alabama and they are closed on Fridays and Saturdays so there was no way to get another copy.They didnt have anything showing what I had brought in.If they are going to tell me something is out of date they should keep their copy that I bring in.They had to have mistyped the info in there computer.They were very rude to me and acted like it was my fault.They will never get my business again if they cant keep up with the info I bring in no telling how they have been treating my dog for all these years.

I couldnt believe some stuff I saw. Most of the mammal cages were extremely filthy. I was so irritated I asked for the manager. I was brushed off and told I could just call corporate and that they clean the cages every morning. I was about to leave when I saw something even more horrifying. A ball python cage temp gauge had come off its glue and the snake was stuck to it. I took a closer look and saw him flailing and tearing his skin trying to get free from the glue on the side of the tank. I demanded something be done and waited until the snake was free, however the skin under his head was torn and damaged. I took pictures of everything I saw. I could not believe the negligence, the place should have a complete turnover or just shutdown.

Worst groomers ever!!! The first time I had my dogs groomed at Petsmart it was a wonderful experience. The second time, they called me to pick them up and they were wet and dirtier than when I dropped them off. They were so nice and upfront about the mistake and groomed them again for free. I figured it was an honest mistake, so I decided to give them a second chance. These time they were so overbooked. When they called for me to pick up my babies, they overcharged me by $50. Then I found out they used some "special" shampoo which gave both of them rashes on their chest. Now I also have a vet bill. I will NEVER EVER take my dogs to the Gunbarrell location.
