Brought my car in for check engine light kept going off, they had the car for 5 days & could not figure out why. Brought it back again for check engine light again & tire pressure monitor light was going off, was told by Adam they would not work on my car (under warranty) because it was to big of a job.Pathetic dealership !! Adam was the biggest baby you will ever meet, this is his responce to one of my reviews. "You and I both know that review is completely inaccurate. I dont even know why you would bother to post that. How about the part when you told me to "go F**K myself." So far you have been to 4 different dealerships and are now in NY. I was nothing but polite to you every step of the way. -the owners son" Being polite makes no difference and you still refused to fix my car. I did bring my car to 4 dealerships, the reason is that none of the 4 could or were able to fix the problem. If the first car dealership fixed the problem I never would of dealt with your incompetent dealership.
This is the new American way to do business (make money by any means necessary). This dealership put me in a certified LEMON! A 2008 Chevrolet Suburban that I owned for two years. With numerous amounts of problems a gas pump that was repaired two times, a check engine light that would not go off until a service representative said he will get me to pass inspection (check engine light came back on while going to get my inspection), the numerous amounts of money I put into the car and after all that when they so called fixed the gas pump problem the engine went. Leaving me with a option to repair the engine at 7,000.00 or be stuck with a 22,000.00 car note (oh thats no option). Now I understand why American car dealerships are falling so far behind foreign competition. When does it all end! A 55 year old business failing due to greed Thanks for all your help an may GOD truly bless America as well H&L Chevrolet.
My experience with H&L demonstrated that they are either not honest or wildly unaware of their product. Had a dashboard crack on a Suburban. Was told the crack would costs over $1500 to fix and that it happened because someone punched the dash. To quote "in my 20 years, I can say for sure someone punched this dash". The internet told a different story. I was told by the Manager that anyone can post stuff on the internet. So, I took the truck to another dealer. Within minutes the dealer showed me why the crack happened (missing support clip - NO FAULT of my own) and explained it happened because someone must have serviced the dash. To my knowledge no one has ever touched the dash. Long story short, that was enough for me to say never again to H&L. Ill drive the 15-20 minutes to a more honest and knowledgeable dealer.
only thing going for it is location. Very close to my residence. Otherwise, I think they didnt really do what they should have done, which is be an early warning for issues on my two year old suburban. I had it in the service department for a routine oil change maybe two months prior to this service appointment, and they gave me no indication my brakes were quite low (which they must have been). Then suddenly metal on metal sound, and the pads were done. She rushes it to H&L to find that of course front rotors are shot. On top of that, it seemed very expensive at $1400 for new front rotors, brake pads all around, and brake fluid replacement. I will look somewhere else next time.
Having bought numerous vehicles at H&L Darien, I continue to be impressed with their commitment and follow through. Every one I have come in contact with, has been dedicated to providing the very best and friendliest service I have ever experienced from a car dealership. They treat everyone equally and like royalty. This is not because I have bought several vehicles there. I have bought several vehicles there because of their positive, knowledgeable and friendly attitude. I would definitely recommend this dealership for both new and used vehicles. Very fair deals with full disclosure.
We had a great experience leasing a new Chevy Volt from H&L. We came in knowing we wanted an electric vehicle, and Bob G. helped us weigh the pros and cons of the Bolt and Volt before selecting our new Volt. They made everything so easy to get the lease approved and pick up the car within a few days. Weve also been getting service done at H&L for many years and they are always quick and courteous and fix our problems the first time.
Put my Traverse in for a service and 4 new tires, after having it home for 4 days one front tyre blew. Called up the dealer, they organized a loan car for me, towed my car, fixed it the next day and I had it back in no time. Thanks Adam and all at H & L Chevrolet for fast friendly and efficient service, problems happen and you proved you are up to the challenge. Thank you for keeping things simple.
I have been coming to H&L for several years. The service staff is ALWAYS friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. They keep me informed on the progress of my repairs and when I pick up my vehicle I know everything was done and done right. Making an appointment is always easy since they are very flexible and always work around my schedule even on short notice. They are definitely the A-Team.
We cant describe how satisfied we were to have Mohammed as our sales person. He met all our expectations and went above and beyond getting us additional features in our new Chevy LT 2015, this is your guy! Also a special thank you to Dan (owner) who was involved and made all this happen. Ill recommend this Dealer to everyone I know. PS- Thanks again from my whole family!
Very pleasant experience overall. My salesperson, Lou, was most courteous and very interested in customer satisfaction. He rates a 10! The service manager, Andrew, also rates a 10 in his professionalism and congeniality. Others whom I met while purchasing my truck were equally helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend H &L Chevrolet.
We recently met with Lou Piccolo who sold us our 2005 first model year Equinox which finally needs replacement after 130,000 miles of reliable performance. Lous helpful, listens to whats important to his clients, and hes crystal clear in his straightforward explanations. An enjoyable experience from the first handshake.
This is a great dealer ship but one thing that annoyed me once was that i called them they said your car will be ready today soon then i call back later and then they say your car will be ready tomorrow morning then they say your car will be ready this afternoon
I worked with Joe Kanaan and it was a great experience! I flew in from Atlanta to pick up a new Lexus and we did all of it over the phone. He picked me up at the train station, had the car and paperwork ready for signature. Definitely do it again.
My father says "It is the best dealership. They are very friendly, and always welcome me. And Adam did a great job washing and cleaning my car and delivering it to my house. What is better than this? And thank you for everything"
