If I could give zero stars, I would. I bought a 2001 Cherokee from this dealership with 100K. I arrived from Albany, their dealership is in Long Island, a 5-hour drive. I came to this dealership because they had many Jeeps to choose from and wanted to find one with low miles and no rust. I towed the vehicle home and waited until after winter to begin restoring/driving it. They sold the jeep to me as-is, like a private sale, and did not offer an inspection sticker. Unbeknownst to me, this was completely illegal; any dealership in NY is required by law to inspect any vehicle that they sell off of their lot. Even with the circumstances of the purchase, the least they could have done was just throw a sticker on it and save me the grief. When I tried to register the vehicle in Albany, the DMV refused to work with me and essentially told me that I needed to bring the Jeep back to auto expo to have it inspected (even though it was NOT safe in the condition it was sold to me.. more on that later). I wound up having to file a grievance with DMV, and one of the district supervisors had to personally make an exception for me, to allow me to register the vehicle with a 10-day inspection. The process took over a month. As for the condition of the vehicle, it was a complete lemon. The front drive axle was damaged in an accident, and had caused EVERY component on the front end to wear down beyond repair. I am talking about tie rods, ball joints, U-joints, track bar... everything. I had to buy a parts car and rebuild the entire front end of the Jeep -- $1500+ of work to repair a car that was sold to me under the assumption that it just needed a little TLC. If I had taken it to a shop for the work, it would have literally cost me more than $4000 to repair the Jeep. I could not drive the Jeep as it was, it had a tremendous wobble that made it very dangerous to drive over 40mph. Since purchasing this Jeep, I have replaced the following parts because they were not working or too badly damaged to repair: Alternator - $100 Water Pump - $40 Front drive axle - $500 parts Jeep Upper + Lower Ball joints - $150 Front Shocks - $80 Front Tie rods - $75 Track Bar - $50 Sway bar links - $75 Lower control arms - $100 Upper control arms - $75 4 tires + alignment - $600 Front U-joints - $60 Differential seals - $30 Oil pan gasket - $30 Oil pump - $40 Transmission pan gasket - $25 Oil dipstick tube - $15 Front cowl grill - $50 Parts total: $2095 Add to this list the cost of miscellaneous tools and materials, multiple trips to the auto parts store, and dozens (over 50) man hours, and the cost of the repair is arguably more than $3500. Don called me after I spoke with an investigator about what had happened, and he basically told me that it was my fault and that there was nothing he could do about it. He said that I had bought it as-is, this is what I get (even though his dealership had broken the law by selling it to me like that). The Jeep came from an auction and no one knew about the damage, he said. I would have been welcome to tow the Jeep back to Long Island (5 hours) to have his mechanics look at the disaster. Instead of sympathizing with me and offering to at least compensate me for part of the repairs, he took a stone wall approach and basically told me "tough luck." He told me that it wasnt fair of me to file a complaint against the dealership. I think it is perfectly fair, because what they did to me was atrocious and disgusting.

Where do I begin?! I left a $500 drposit on a Grand Cherokee Limited 2004 snd said I want the front tires replaced as they were worn. I said I needed car by closing next day n unfortunately i didnt get the cash from my bank in time ( RED FLAG.. Dealer only takes cash. WTF?!) Cliff the salesmsn agreed to replace tires. Said theyd stay open til 7:30 for me ( nice offer) Went back 2 days later at 1pm like i told them on phone night prior and i had my son with me to drive my daughters car home and we had to wait 45" for them to put a tire on. Hmm Not Ready like they said! N the tire looked just as worn as the original ones I asked to have replaced. So he decided to switch front n rear tire. Grr! And I mentioned of the replacements and he mumbled " I dont have time to do tires today". Cliff said he put gas in to my Jeep and I thanked him for the extra thiught and I got in it was on 1/8 tank. Not enough for me to get home on. Paid the balance ( total $5,841) n drove home. Jeep pulled to the right n Im thinking front end alignment or just worn tires. N i decided to replace tires n get alignment my cost on day 6 of owning Jeep is now $729 ! On day 7..today (7-15-15) i drove to my bank n gas station and the Jeep died right in front of Fire Dept driveway at a red light. The gauge for oil pressure was 1/2 way (200?) since I bought the Jeep n out of nowhere, it went to the red line n jeep engine stopped. I got it started n crawled to gas station. Station was 2,00 feet away n Jeep died again. ( felt like i was being pulled backwards) . Had to push jeep away from gas pumps n let it cool off . Called Cliff @ Auto Expo And told him the " tranny over temp" light on and gauge for oil pressure at max n it died. Cliff said," let it cool off, drive it easy ( i baby it) and bring it here and well check it out. I responded " lol and if I get stuck on way over (27 miles away) then what?!! He responded," I only sell Jeeps, I dont make them". WTF kind of response is that?!! AUTO EXPO supposed to be open til 6 or 7 pm. And i called at 5:05pm and had to leave a voice msg to suggest they come pick Jeep up n replace the radiator. My husband noticed water trails from My home driveway from earlier when I left and put water into radiator (1gallon) and it kept bubbling. With cap back on it steamed out. I dont know what kind of nonsense Ill hear from them next But do NOT buy from this dealer if you want a reliable vehicle!! And friendly service. Cliff and owner were always professional but cold and indifferent. And the dealership too crowded like sardines in a can so it made browsing very uncomfortable. And i had Cliff follow me as i looked and he said he had to if I wanted the prices of each Jeep. Hmm no prices displayed! Im totally disgusted and if this is any indicator of how they care for their Jeeps, no less customers, Im done!

Buyers Beware! Terrible experience from beginning to the end. First I emailed Auto Expo about 2 Jeeps I was interested in and they did not respond to both emails. I was suprised because "most" dealers love and cant wait to follow up on potential customers, not Auto Expo. Before I got down there I read some of the other poor experiences which was another bad sign. When I arrived at Auto Expo they had a lot of Jeeps at least 30-40 that I could see. There was a customer on the lot and he was being helped but there didnt appear to be any other sales people. So I decided to walk toward the back of the lot. I tried finding the 2 jeeps that I saw website. The 2 jeeps were no where in sight and right about this time I was approached by "Don". I was looking at a White XJ and another black one. Don said the black one was sold and then tried selling it to me anyway which was suspicious. The white XJ had wires hanging from under the front end by the axle. When I started it up it ran very rough which was another concern I had. I asked about the other 2 jeeps that I saw on the internet and Don said they were sold. Wouldve been nice to take the Jeeps that you sold off the website Don. The Jeep was way over priced for the condition it was in. I also mentioned that it ran rough upon starting it and Don assured me that it would go through a Top to bottom inspection, brakes, oil change and plugs etc. During the entire time I was walking around the truck Don was busy giving orders to his help and was talking down to his workers, not cool to witness that. Don said that most vehicles sit, but before they are sold all issues are taken care of. I told him what I wanted to think it over took his business card and left. The questions I have for Auto Expo are why were they not frontline ready for customers prior?. Clearly some or most vehicles are not good condition and may have issues. Why would you not give a potential buyer your complete and undivided attention? I cannot recommend to anyone to do business with Auto Expo of Huntington. Go elsewhere, do some research prior and take note of the treatment you receive and how salespeople answer your questions.
