Their prices are a bit extreme for used clothing. The manager seems to be larger then life. If they are familiar with a certain name brands they will hike the price up. Why did I notice this, back in 2010, I was lucky to find a Fred Perry baseball hat. At 3.00 this was a gift from the Gods. Had their staff and corrupt management googled Fred Perry, that hat would of been a lot more then 3.00. They should just be a part of E-Bay.

The VDO is the best chain of thrift stores in the Akron area. I grew up going to the one in Cuyahoga Falls, but now I live in Akron so I frequent this one. The selection is larger, and the prices are better than the other area thrift stores (like Salvation Army and Goodwill). Half-price tags change every Thursday, and they have one color at a big discount on Sunday and Monday.

I just left this store. What a huge disappointment. Prices are ridiculous for a dicount thrift store. The 50% off color tags today are BLUE and GREEN. A male worker walked passed us with a cart full of BLUE tag items from all areas. WTH? Is this why its so hard to find the sale color tags? They remove them?????

Not much of a discount here. Too expensive. Sell cheap but high-priced clothing. Can do much better at Goodwill, Salvation Army, neighborhood thrift stores, flea markets, and yard sales. Occasionally you may find good buys, but it takes hours and many visits. Not worth it.

Went with mom to get some kids in need of clothes some items. It was 50cents for Orange and half for green. Well guess what? Like 4 workers were going through the lines taking all the orange tag items. When my mom asked why the one worker said because its too bulky.
