Letter I wrote to corporate: First off, I want to say the only positive thing about this whole experience was our sales person Craig. He was helpful and provided excellent customer service. Unfortunately I can’t say this about the rest of our experience with Ashely Home Furniture. To start, we were told we would be getting our furniture (three pieces) on 06/11/2016. I was notified the day before delivery that our furniture came in on 06/11/2016, and they would be unable to deliver our furniture because you all don’t do same day deliver. So you then pushed back our furniture another week. Mind you we have had nothing to sit on…. Then I get a call 06/17/2016 telling us that you all have damaged our TV stand and it is completely split in half. SO NOW THIS IS BEING PUSHED BACK AGAIN. We will not be receiving our TV stand until 07/02/2016. On 06/18/2016 you all called me in the morning to tell me that your truck broke down and you would be late. You were supposed to be delivering our furniture from 9:30-1:30 p.m. You finally arrived a little after 4:00 p.m. Two men pull up with the moving truck. They come up stairs and show us their clipboard with our couch and coffee table information on it. They then went to go get the couch out of the truck. We are watching them the entire time. THIS WAS LIKE WATCHING A BAD CAR ACCIDENT. We watched these men destroy this couch. Dragging it, scraping it, and dropping it down a flight of stairs. One man was doing all of the work himself; carrying all the weight. The other man continued to not contribute the entire time. The men proceeded to drag this couch up the stairs and my boyfriend then noticed it wasn’t ever our couch! This was someone else’s couch that was completely being ruined; scrapes and white marks everywhere. We said “this isn’t even our couch”. They took it back to the truck and got our couch. They brought it up the stairs damaging the fence siding. Completely breaking the white fencing and also made it protrude out due to their carelessness. They then damaged our porch light causing it to hang on by just the wiring. Our coffee table was put together incorrectly, causing the top to be uneven. It has scratched on the top, as well as a hug chip on the back end. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE. I have NEVER, in my life, had furniture continually pushed back, broken, and had property completed damaged. You all should really have someone supervising deliveries also. I am very disappointed in your company, and this whole situation. **We are STILL waiting to be compensated for all of the issues weve had**** We are being told that we will not be compensated until ALL of our furniture problems have be resolved. We are STILL waiting on a new coffee table, and someone to come out and look at our couch (messed up handle, and cushion in the top part of the sofa is warped).....

All in all, furniture looked great and was comfortable for about a week, Customer service was good at Ashley. Customer service was awful with Furniture Options (warranty company). Unfortunately, none of that matters since the couch started to deteriorate after a week and I cant get it fixed because the warranty company has had so many problems ranging from ordering the wrong parts to being next to impossible to contact for appointments that book a month out when you finally reach them. Details: My experience with Terri as a salesperson was great. She was very professional and didnt push more expensive items to increase her commission. I didnt love how long some of my items took (a month), but I was warned a few of them were that far out and it was my choice to wait. I gave a second star because the customer service was great- excluding the women that handled the payment at the end, which was a debit card that shouldve been easy. The two stars comes from after getting the items. My couch was sunken in on both bottom pillows and both top pillows so I called and was told the warranty through Furniture Options would cover it all. I had my original consultation appointment a month after that phone call because they were booked. When the gentleman came, he said most Ashley furniture does that because the original manufacturer uses cheap filling and he would order new filling. He said I would receive a call in 10-14 days since it was during a holiday weekend (July 4th). I never received a call, but received a letter over a month later telling me to call them and make an appointment. They were booked a month out again. When that person arrived he had all the wrong parts and said he would go back and see if they had any at the warehouse and call back in an hour or two and let me know if he would be back or if I needed to make the appointment again for the next week (yeah right, I knew it would be another month). He never called. I called a couple weeks later hoping that he just needed to order the parts and forgot to call. I left a voicemail on the regular customer service line and the managers line since it had been months and I was starting to get frustrated. I also called Ashley and left a message on the managers voicemail to inquire if I could just return it at that point. I didnt receive a call back from any of them. I called again today (4 months and 1 week so far) and made an appointment for 3 weeks from now. Im not holding my breath that it will be resolved.

Absolutely terrible. We purchased a sectional from Ashley. The purchase went smoothly and we set up the delivery date. The delivery came and the frame of one section was completely bent and they forgot to deliver another piece altogether. I called about the missing piece immediately only to find someone had marked it off as being delivered and someone else had marked it as not being in stock. It took two calls to get ahold of someone to get a delivery set up on the missing piece. I called about the bent piece and was passed around multiple times until I got ahold of a manager. The manager put in a service ticket and told me to wait three days for the service department to get back to me. Three days passed and I finally called back. I was told the replacement order was submitted and I would receive a call from the service department to setup a delivery date. Three more days passed and I finally received a call from the service department telling me they were putting in the replacement order and that I would receive q call eventually to set up the delivery date. So far, no call about a delivery date. The customer service is always answered by some extraordinarily lethargic sounding lady that is just looking to pass the buck to someone else. This company is poorly run at best.

When looking for furniture last year my mom told me to go see Craig at Ashley Furniture because she had always had a great experience there when she was in town helping my sister buy furniture for her new home. Craig helped me find exactly what I needed to for my moms birthday gift. I was sure to go back this time when I was buying new furniture for my own home. Craig was very helpful in helping me find exactly what I was looking for. He is very knowledgeable about the furniture at Ashleys and he was very honest with how he felt it would look in my home once describing to him the area and look that I was trying to fulfill. I like that Craig is very patient and spends a lot of time with his customers. You can tell he is genuinely wanting to help them find what they are looking for and not just trying to sell furniture. I also like that each time you go to Ashleys Furniture you are greeted by the front door to make sure that they can point you in the right direction or that you have any help that you need and that the sales floor is very organized and clean with lots of options to choose from. I will be buying furniture for my new office soon and will definitely be returning to see Craig at Ashleys Furniture to do so.
