I took my cat in for a haircut and bath. They failed to bathe my cat and let my husband and I know. They had my cat for 45 minutes and called to let me know she was finished and she had done great, no mention that they were unable to do the full groom on her. Once my cat was home and I noticed she hadnt been bathed I called to ask why and what happened and the first person I talked to over the phone, Jen, stated that she wasnt sure but that my cat had freaked out so they didnt bathe her and I should have been told that when I dropped her off if my cat were to do poorly they wouldnt finish the groom and Id still be charged the full amount. This was never explained to me. She told me to call the manager in the morning. I call the next morning and the manager didnt know what was going on and would call me back once my cats groomer arrived. She promptly called once she spoke to the groomer and told me that after my cat was shaved (which she did a great job doing and my cat looks really adorable) they walked my cat back to the tub and when the dogs started barking my cat freaked out. Well, this disappoints me in that they didnt let my cat try and calm down and they also just held onto my cat, rather than putting her in a carrier while walking through the kennels. This is dangerous for both groomer and cat. If the cat were to bite the groomer because of their poor safety protocols then my cat would immediately be put on a ten day quarantine per animal control no matter her status of rabies. Plus the infection the groomer can get can put them out of work for quite sometime. I liked the groomer but the way we were treated, talked to by staff, lack of communication and the companies safety protocols warrants a one star review. They did offer a refund or 10.00 off her next groom . Im opting for the refund which I will soon see if they uphold that commitment. I will not be going back for grooming services nor recommending. PetSmart grooming still remains quantity not quality.

Avoid the Doggy Day Camp/Play Area! I took my 9 month old puppy to the doggy day care for about an hour while I searched for my pets food. There wasnt that many dogs in there so I dropped my puppy off and went shopping. When I picked him up the lady who stands inside the room with the dogs had a water bottle and was spraying the dogs "correcting" their behavior. She never stepped over to them just looked like she was board and then would spray a dog or two. I asked the lady at the front desk if it mentioned the employees spraying the dogs (thinking it would be my bad for not reading the entire contract) and she said it wasnt. I then told her the lady in there (pointing to the play area) was spraying dogs. Her reply which pissed me off like no other was, "Yeah. Shes spraying them. Its a deterient." How unprofessional can you be flat out thinking it is OK to spray clients dogs without telling them! That lady didnt have a spray bottle when I dropped my puppy off and I even told them if my puppy gets too excited tell him to leave it/him/her. The lady at the desk told me it was good to know commands for them to make the dogs feel more safe there. When I finally got my puppy they told me everything went well and that he was very good. If he was so good, (since he has been socially trained since 3 months and is now 9 months) then why would you need to spray him?! His head was wet when I picked him up. Great service they had! NOT! Worst $16 I spent on my poor baby. Ill NEVER go there again!

I actually had a problem where I purchased mealworms for my geckos here (this was a while ago now). The store was closing and the associate just walked back and probably grabbed the first container of worms he found (he could have been a new employee as well). When we got home and opened up our container of 100 worms, there were probably 5 or 6 in there. Just to be perfectly clear, I believe they have a policy of opening up the container and showing them to you before you buy them, which happened every other time, when we purchased them from a very nice gal there. This guy was just in a hurry, and we didnt think anything of it. We spoke with management the next day and they corrected the problem and switched the worms out for us without hassle at all. She explained to us that he probably accidentally grabbed THEIR container of feeder worms instead of the ones that were for sale to customers. I completely understand that accidents happen, and Im glad that (in a world of people who are always trying to scam companies any way they can) she saw that we were honest and worked with us to correct the mistake. I was very pleased with the outcome of what could have been a rather unpleasant situation. THANK YOU!

I will never go back to Taylorsville Petmart! This is the 2nd time in 6 months they have pulled the same dishonest stunt at the cash register. Im totally done with their deceitful business practices. Im tired of being lied to and their phony excuses. Both times, when I took the clearly marked sale item to the cash register it rang up full price. It wasnt until I questioned the price and requested they check the sale sign that they finally gave me the sale price. If I hadnt challenged them on the price, they were more than happy charging me the full price. They were not pleased either time I questioned the price that had rung up and requested to be given the posted sale price for the item. What a SCAM!

My family toke our three dogs in for the first time for them to get used to some other dogs and people. Yes our one dog was a bit loud but we moved him away to take care of him being really worked up. And one of the employees came over and told us that we were doing everything wrong. The dog is less then a year old and not our first dog ever. Im sorry but I will handle my dogs how I see fit. And they can do the same with theirs. We left shortly after and will not be taking our dogs with us to that store again, I aswell wont buy a thing from them again.

Ive used both the PetsHotel and the Grooming Salon for both my pups. The people were wonderful and both my dogs loved being there. The grooming salon did a great job of bathing them and trimming their nails. My dogs also love Doggie Day Camp. I dont see everything they experience there when they go, but I know that everytime I bring them back, they are excited to be there and cant wait to get into the room and play. My puppy also loves the training classes and her trainer, Brenda. I recommend Taylorsville Petsmart to anyone who has active dogs.

I took my Pomeranian to get her groomed and told them to cut off a little bit. After 2 hours they called me and told me she was ready. When I got there, I didnt even recognize my own dog. It seemed like they used a shaving blade instead of clippers. And when I asked them how long it would take for the hair to grow back, they told me "I dont know it might not grow back". They also told me that Pomeranian dogs are not suppose to be shaved after they shave her. Worst experience ive had at a pet store. Hopefully her hair grows back.
