I went to Drivetime in desperation because I am currently driving a vehicle with no heat, a hole in the radiator, and several other major issues. I have a small child so getting a reliable car quickly was my main agenda. I met with Reginald, who was very nice. He showed me a car that I liked and I decided to go ahead and purchase. I paid my down payment only to find that I was unable to leave with a car that night because the States tag system was down. Im a reasonable person so although I was upset, I tried to be understanding. That was out of their control. However, they decided to go ahead and take my down payment as a "layaway payment" instead that I had to sign some documents for and I could just return to pick up the car the next day. One night was all I needed to think over how ridiculously priced the vehicle was, even if my credit is struggling, and I was able to find a better deal elsewhere on a later model vehicle with less miles (went from a 2007 Toyota to a 2013 Honda at the same ticket price). No one told me when I signed this "layaway" that if I changed my mind I would have to wait up to 2 weeks to get my money back!! It took 2 seconds to pay, but it takes 2 weeks to be reimbursed?? This morning I couldnt leave home on time because it was 28 degrees outside and I refuse to have my 2 year old suffer through freezing temperatures. Drivetime, For future reference, be upfront with customers. Make sure they will be able to drive away immediately BEFORE you take their hard earned money. Im sure my down payment means more to Drivetime than my freezing child or possibly being stranded on the side of the road because I cant get a car when they have my down payment locked up in their archaic, obsolete refund process. I was happy and still would have referred someone here, but this is ridiculous! I just want my money back so I can get a new car!! I just know now that I will never make a last minute decision out of desperation and fear again! Dont think that because you have bad/no credit that there is no one reasonably priced that will be willing to help you rebuild without you paying $400/month for a 10 year old car.

I am a customer who was totally ripped off by a Buy Here/Pay Here even with the Finance Deal and Warranty I purchased with the vehicle. After no help from the dealership I purchased the car from, I took it to the manufacturer to use the warranty to fix the issues the service man told me immediately at first glance that my car should not even be on the road!!!!! It turns out the vehicle was totally undrivable and was sold to me that way. I took a major loss and still needed a vehicle. After no luck with major dealerships, I went to DriveTime in Marietta and worked with Remi. He was patient with me through my frustration of even having to purchase another car, and he made the experience great. In less then 3 hours I drove away with a beautiful 2012 Chrysler 200 with a car note that I could afford and a surprisingly acceptable down payment. Carl the Manager was also amazing in explaining my contract and making sure I understood everything. I am so thankful that they gave me a chance when no one else would, times are hard and no one has 4 or 5 grand to just drop as a downpayment when they are the sole bread winner for their family. Had it not been for DriveTime, I dont know what I would have done. As for that horrible Buy Here/Pay Here, I am going to report them for sure.

Ryan was the best! This is the best place to get a car because they are so helpful! They really made it possible for me to drive off the lot with my new car!! Im forever grateful! UPDATE: NO, NO, NO! My previous review was made IN THE STORE before I drove off the lot with a lemon. Please do not purchase a car from DriveTime. Ive only had my car for A MONTH and it wont start and its stalling every time I drive forward or in reverse. Two mechanics, including a Ford dealership, has tried to fix my Ford Fiesta but it still has so many problems! Oh and DriveTime customer service is a joke. If you decide to make the worst mistake of your life and purchase from DriveTime, please dont bother to buy the warranty. Its a waste of money because they charge for everything! Ive spent so much money on rental cars and Lyft drivers just to get to work because my car is not reliable. There are so many lawsuits against DriveTime. Come on people, please just do your research before youre stuck in a contract. I made the mistake of not researching this company beforehand and I regret it everyday.

The staff here at Drivetime Marietta is overall friendly and helpful. Cedric is awesome! The process of buying a car can be frustrating and some what a long process, but Cedric made the process a little bit more enjoyable. Although the first vehicle I purchased (2013 Ford Focus) did not work out Cedric made the process of getting into another vehicle very easy. I love their 5 day return policy. Most dealerships DO NOT offer this. On my 4th day with the Ford Focus I started to have transmission problems, but they helped me get into another vehicle with no problem. Although, I would NOT suggest working with Jarvis at Drivetime Marietta. When I started having problems with the Ford Focus I called in inquiring about what I should do next and he was really rude to me, short on the phone, and actually gave me the wrong information. There is always a bad apple that would ruin any situation. I would suggest going to Cedric and the manager Lance is great as well!!

I had to put the Drive Time 5 day 300 mile guarantee to the test yesterday when the car i had just purchased started making a funny sound. They let me return the car with absolutely zero attitude or push back. The process was extremely simple. They cancelled the contract on their end and i just had to sign two documents to give up the car with no penalty. After that i picked out a different car, test drove it and about an hour later drove off the lot with it. I didnt have to fill out an app or turn in my pay stubs or get my credit checked again. The only part we had to do was the contract signing. I especially want to thank the sales rep SHAYLA because she made the entire process extremely easy and fun. I dont want to even imagine how this would have turned out if i had gone to a buy here pay here that didnt offer any return policy. Id be stuck! 10/10

Looking for cars are hard especially when you dont know too much about cars lol but when we drove up to DriveTime, someone came out immediately. That was different for me because I actually went to two different car dealerships earlier that day and nobody came out that quick . So yeah I was impress already and how they offer you drinks. That was really nice of them and they talk with respect and sound intelligent. We had Shavonne, who was really sweet and funny . She really knows her stuff and knew what kind of car I would like . DriveTime also works with you and wants you to get what you want and not what they think you should get . I also worked with Ryan who also knew his stuff . Thanks Shavoone and Ryan for your great customer service . I would recommend everyone to come to DriveTime.
