Leaving two stars instead of one because a few of the employees are cool, and actually care about the animals. The managers, however, can be downright rude. Several of the animals sold here, especially some of the rodents and reptiles, are grossly neglected. A majority of all their mice are afflicted with an upper respiratory infection, and a few have infected wounds from fighting. (A result of over crowding) Dead mice have also been left in the enclosures. Reptile housing is typically done incorrectly, with too many corn snakes stuffed in one enclosure or a boa constrictor being in the sales display with an upper respiratory infection. On several occasions, theyve also had mites infest multiple of their reptile enclosures, and the management can be stubborn to convince to begin treatment. Typical of any petco store, ball pythons can be found here in poor conditions due to malnourishment or stuck sheds, from time to time, once they are in the care of this store for several weeks. The bearded dragon displays have been neglected cleaning on several occasions, and the sour smell of faeces and urates has been offsetting when it happens. Also standard to this store are dead fish in several of their aquariums. First, they should make a better habit of cleaning out carcasses, and second, they need to keep them better to prevent them from dying in the first place. The variety of parrots sold at this store at least seem to be in good shape as opposed to their other animals, and I wouldnt have any conflicted thoughts about buying any birds from this store. Hamsters, and guinea pigs sold here are also generally in good shape. Some employees (including the managers) need to be made more aware of correct animal care, and this store needs to stock less animals at a time to focus more on not neglecting their current animals. (Iguanas, red eared sliders, and chameleons should not be stocked at this location at all.) The managers should also work on their mannerisms, and should generally learn how to run a PET store. Even if it is a retail corporation, there is no excuse for living animals to be neglected. Hopefully, improvements will be made and Ill gladly update this review.

I wasnt incredibly pleased with this location. I normally take my dog to petsmart for nail trimming when I dont have someone there to help me out but I decided to give these guys a try. When I got there the young man seemed scared of my dog, who was scared herself. He put a muzzle on her, which, if that makes the groomer feel better about it, I dont have a problem with it. I purchased nail trimming and teeth cleaning services. I left her with them and came back in 20 minutes, as advised. When I got back, I was told that because my dog was acting aggresively they wouldnt brush her teeth. I asked when she started misbehaving and the boy told me when he put the muzzle on she bared her teeth. Not once did he say anything about it when he put it on, and I was right there! I told to try anyway since she wasnt growling and they ended up doing it without any aggressive behavior from her. I didnt appreciate the service and I give them 2 stars because they took us in right before the cut off time. Otherwise I wont be back.

This is the only petco I know that has grooming for cats. I called the previous day to make sure the cat groomer would be there . Attempted to make an appointment . The girl who answered the phone stated to me for what my cat was going in for no appointment was need. Bring your cat in ANYTIME she said. That means to me I can bring my pet in anytime . This petco is nowhere near my home. Packed her up and drove alllll the way across town. Just for them to tell me that there was no cat groomer in. Needless to say I was beyond furious as this is the SECOND time they do this to me. They prerty much give you a shoulder shrug and sorry . No consideration at all by staff. They will not be getting business from me again.

This is the WORST petco I have ever gone too. Unfortunately it is the one near my house and when I need something I go here (will no longer after what happened today.) They are always out of the supplies I need and they dont seem to care about customer service. I purchased a toy for my ferrets, got in my car and noticed the box looked opened. I opened to check it out and it was OBVIOUS this was used and they didnt even check to make sure it was okay. There was sharp wires sticking out of it and a zip tie on it. There was a whole in it as well. Will be returning the product and not be going back to this location. I will drive a few more miles for better service elsewhere.

Dont ever buy anything in advance from this guys. They play with your time. I have bought all the dog trainings in advance and when his best trainer left they did not want to refund me for the remaining as i did not feel confortable with the new trainer instead they have said that i purchased the package a long time ago. Doooooo i pay in advance and my dog only did puppy 1 because you switch trainers and you also did not start your training on time after i purchased the package. 0000 customer service oriented, 000000 customer satisfaction even though im there every week bying something for my labrador. No wonder why they only have 3.7 stars overall

This is my regularly visited Petco as I truly enjoy the customer service their Assistant Manager, Robert, and associate Trenton give me. I, also, truly appreciate the attention they give my dog Boo as he is my baby. They price match other retailers and even price match their own website. Their veteran female trainer is, also, extremely friendly and helpful. Their store manager, however, can take some customer service lessons from his employees as it seems he does his best to AVOID talking to customers, even those like myself that are regular weekly customers that spend an average of $350 a month at his store.

Ive been to this petco many times and its always a bad experience. My dog goes to get her nails trimmed/buffed and its never done correctly. I end up having to go somewhere else or doing it myself. I stand by to watch and I see that they dont buff them or cut them all. I also paid for puppy classes over 3 months ago and Ive only been to one class because the other times Ive gone they were cancelled. I was told Id receive a call from them and its been 5 weeks already. I dont know their policy, but if I paid for it and dont get all 6 weeks worth of classes Im going to be very upset.

Been coming to this store for many years when I am in desparate need of something for my fish or turtle. I always dread coming here as the customer service is awful. Employees are very rude and act like they do not care or want to be there. There is always new employees everytime I go. They dont know what they are talking about when it comes to fish or freshwater plants. Prices are insanely overpriced on EVERYTHING which is the main reason I do not go next to the rude employees. With all of this I can say that it looks to be very poorly run and could use new management.
