I recently went to this store in hopes of purchasing a few fish for my aquarium. On my first visit I was not impressed since I was looking at livebearers and they were all sick (the one tank had fish that had nothing but fungal infections). The owner stated that he got new fish on Tuesdays and that was the day to come to see his complete selection. I thought it sounded a bit odd purchasing fish the same day they came in from the shipment but I decided to give it a try. I returned the following Tuesday and was surprised that although he claimed his shipment had come in he still had his tanks mostly empty. I looked at the fish and was not impressed since a lot of them were badly clamping their fins. He had mentioned before that he could special order anything you wanted so I decided that maybe that was how he stayed in business. I went to ask to order some redwag tail platies and he said he had some in stock. Slightly confused I looked at where he was pointing (since I had just looked at them) and saw he had a tank full of some type of wagtail platy but they were orange as opposed to the brilliant red like they should have been. They didnt look too good (clamped fins, pale, some had slightly deformed tails) but he swore it was "because they were stressed from shipping". Now I have kept aquariums for 10+ years and found this unlikely, however, since I am new to the area I assumed MAYBE since he seemed like he knew what he was talking about it had something to do with the local water or things had changed since I last bought platies. So I made the mistake of purchasing 4 from him (3 females, 1 male). I no sooner got them home then the one female had a deformed tail. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and just maybe she was born that way. Three hours later she had white growths on her tail she died less than 48 hours later. The other three now have the same thing and I dont expect them to live through the weekend. Now obviously it is partially my fault because I bought the fish. However, for anyone interested he does not have any healthy fish in the store so if you go there to purchase fish you are going to be in trouble. The owner is nice just not very bright or intelligent when it comes to stocking aquariums or his livestock. This is a terrible thing to say but his quality of fish is most certainly below even PetsMart and Petco (didnt even think that was possible). So if you dont mind replacing your fish every few days and having no selection this is a great store otherwise you are going to be forced to drive to Dallas since there are no other stores in the area. Very disappointing. :-(

I have never had a bad experience here! All my questions are always answered fully, and I get honest opinions on the product everytime, even if it means he will lose a sale because he doesnt have the best option for me at the time and sends me somewhere else to get it!!! I have never walked out un-satisfied.
