Benari distinguished themselves from the very beginning. I inquired of a few jewelry stores in the area and I received an eager and appreciative response from Newtown GM, Bobby May in less than 24 hours. I contacted them in regards to a Tacori platinum & diamond engagement ring for my girlfriend so needless to say, I was hoping to find a group who would be part of the celebration rather than just make a profit. Thats exactly what I experienced. Additionally, as a gay woman, it was crucial to me that the person I work with is accepting and supporting of my relationship. And again, thats exactly what I got! Bobby May is the most enthusiastic, hard-working, considerate man I could have asked for. Every step of the way he made sure I knew every detail and worked tirelessly on my behalf to get the prospective rings shipped from the designer to the store over the weekend to ensure their arrival on a day that fit my schedule. I received e-mails from him at all times whether he was in the office early in the morning or late at night. Between our communication over e-mail and meeting in person, Bobby is someone who I am certain I will return to for years to come when it involves quality jewelry. I wouldnt be surprised if he met my soon-to-be fiance and I out for dinner some time. At Benari, Im not just a customer -- I am a member of their family and trust their knowledge and experience implicitly. I have plenty of other retailers that are much closer to where I live in Wilmington, DE but Benari Newtown is well worth the 45 minute drive! Having met the owner, Lady Rachel Benari herself, I am confident that both locations are impeccably run and offer superior service; however, there is only ONE Bobby May and hes in Newtown! Ask for Booby, you wont regret it!

This review is only for my experience with trying to sell back my wedding/engagement ring and looking for new ones in the Exton location. Dont try to sell back your wedding or engagement rings to Benari Jewlers because you wont even get close to the value you bought it for! Its not a big surprise that jewlers will try to low-ball you, but this was ridiculous! Even if you have the proper documentation on the total insured value for the ring, they wont even come close. The industry standard values should be met at least. Whats the point of using the GIA certification and market values of the ring? I know they want to make a buck, but what happened to making an honest buck? Weve been buying jewlery for years (from different places all over the world), so we know some things about it. Remember, when you sell-back a ring, the jewler is supposed to be getting back something that doesnt really depreciate. They will sell it back to someone else using the same GIA certified information. I recommend that you ask what their policy is on selling your rings back (in case it doesnt work out) before you make the purchase. If they wont buy it back for the original value, walk away from there. There are other places that will buy back for the original value (not the appreciated insured value) that have a better selection. Its a fair exchange in the end. The best jewlers will always try to work with you and good customers will most often come back to buy more jewelry (if they have a good experience). I would not recommend this location anyway since their selection is small and the designs are pretty standard.

From start to finish, my entire engagement ring experience was incredible. When I first started looking for rings, I was just going through the research process and knew I was not going to purchase right away. I was never pressured to make a decision and only received one follow up call to make sure I received all the information I was looking for. Other jewelers would constantly call and make me feel like I was missing out on the deal of a lifetime and that wasnt what I wanted/needed. So when the time came to purchase I went back to Benari. I dealt with both Bobby and Rachel and I couldnt have been more pleased with the service I received, it was like dealing with friends that I had known for years! After struggling to find a stone that fit both my quality and budget requirements, Rachel personally made some calls to find a stone that was right for me. After all was said and done, my fiancé cannot stop looking at her ring, which to me says everything. Both Bobby and Rachel made what was supposed to be a stressful process absolutely carefree and I cannot thank them enough. I will be going back for years to come!

Benari in Newtown Square has been so amazing while my fiancé and I shop for wedding bands (and my engagement ring). If youre looking for any type of fine jewelry or watch, start at Benari - their selection is incredible and make sure you ask for Bob! Bob has been one of the kindest, most accommodating, and helpful people weve worked with throughout the entire wedding process and thats saying a lot considering how many different vendors weve been in touch with over the last year and a half. He treats us like family every time we walk in and always ensures our experience there is both personal and special - hes never ever tried to pressure us into something outside of our price range. Hes knowledgable about each piece of jewelry and honestly makes each visit so pleasant - he even remembers us by name, greets us with a hug, and remember little details weve shared in the past. I cant say enough good things about Benari - its the only place well shop for any other big jewelry or watch purchases!

Five stars doesnt seem like enough to express how pleased we are with our experience at Benari in Newtown Square. We needed help restoring and sizing a 1940s engagement and wedding ring set. Because of the sentimental value of the rings, which belonged to a beloved grandmother, we wanted someone who would understand the value and would fix it with care. Benari was the right choice. Robert took time to examine the ring and even found engravings that we knew nothing about! He was very helpful in explaining what needed to be done and suggested a milgrain as well. Robert and the rest of the staff were clearly knowledgeable and appreciated the sentimental and vintage value of the rings. The results went beyond any of our expectations! The rings look amazing and really shine! The work only took a week, but was clearly done with great care and expertise. We will absolutely return to Benari for all future jewelry purchases and highly recommend them for anyones restoration needs!

We worked with Mark at Benari and had a great experience. We were hesitant about the engagement ring buying process because we had bad experiences at other places during our intital looking phase. Mark was super helpful and put no pressure on us. He educated us on the pros and cons of different metals and really got to know what our priorities were and how he could get us the best deal for what we wanted. We ended up selecting a ring from their Maevona designer line and Mark worked with the designer to have them customize it to exactly what we wanted. We also wanted a specific cut stone and the team did a lot of research to bring us options we could choose from. Overall the experience was great and we love the finished product. We highly recommend working with the staff at Benari!
