the employees are very friendly and super fast at service, so helpful Nd nice even in stressful situations with rude customers... now that i have been to this pawn shop i will never go to any other!! This place is a sham. First off, the business is run by twenty-something year olds with bad attitudes and poor business ethic. Also, I was told my items were in great condition but they could not accept the items I had brought in, although these items were clearly listed on their site under acceptable items. Also, while in their. I overhead another gentlemans conversation with one of the employees. The employee had scratched his gold to test if it were real. Following this, the employee told the gentleman that he could not give him a reasonable price because the gold had been scratched -- in the spot that he had just scratched it! I will never return.

Great Lakes Pawn has a rare combination of friendliness, good and reasonable prices, beautiful and reliable merchandise, resulting an incredible positive customer experience. Motor City pawn is a good pawn shop. They are more than fair with you for your property. Those "other" places like ziedmans and american jewelry are garbage; they dont care about "why" youre pawning your stuff, just about whats the lowest amount they can give you. I took a brand new, still in the box, 2014 Hewlett Packard laptop to american worth $800 and they told me to pawn it they would give me $75 and $85 to sell. I asked how much would they turn around and sell it for and they said $550-$650. Ridiculous!!!!!

Very friendly staff. Fair on their prices. I tried to sell a gun I bought and they found out that I was over charged so they helped me return it to the gun store I bought it from for a full refund. They told me what to do and say and it worked. They also try and give you the most they can when you pawn, and if you do a lot of business with them and they know youll be back to pick up your pawn they will give you more then the item is worth. They helped me out so many times. Best pawn shop I have ever been to.

I found a specialty item on Craiglist and needed the item shipped and with the help of Chris one of their employees it was able to happen. They even took the time to drive it to the local UPS store to be boxed and shipped. Thank you Chris & any other employees for taking the time to "care". This is how business is run! They are conveniently located, open great hours as well. Ive been coming here since they opened, the staff is always helpful & friendly. They give reasonable prices and are usually willing to work with anything. Way better than American jewelry n loan. Ive been going here for about 2 years. They are so polite and helpful and they work with you on your payments. They have a great selection on electronics and DVDs. And they are a very funny group of guys. Best place to shop for anything you need. Reasonable prices on everything. You wont ever want to goto AJL or any other pawn shop after coming here.

I had an object I paid about 500$ for and the pawn shop offered me way less then that, it turned out I way over paid for the object when I bought it from another store.
