worst pawn shop in south east Michigan, its amazing they are still in business. I have been in several times over the years its the same deal every time. They offer the worst sell and pawn prices and they also have the worst buy prices in the area. My item sells for $380 used retail in other pawn shops, the best deal on the web according to amazon is $348.99. they offered to buy it from me for $75 then $100. having dealt with other pawn shops in the area for years most shops will sell items for 55-80% more than what they payed. sometimes 120-130% if your desperate and get low balled this pawn shop was looking to sell at 320%. after I left I went to c&l exchange only 6 miles away I sold for $260 after some haggling. thats $160 more than garden city exchanges best offer. while I was in garden city ex waiting I was looking at tvs and I noticed they had my exact tv for sale used it was priced $10 less than what I payed new. their outdated desktops, laptops and all in one pcs run within $50 less than what u get at best buy new.

Very Friendly and reasonable! All the gentlemen here have treated me with respect and understanding since i started going there a few years ago. The cleanest and most organized resale store in the area. I Normally dont write reviews but today i was blown away by the extra mile Adam went for me to pay me more than i even ASKED for on a loan for my Jewelry! He even corrected me when i though my 18K pendant was only 10 karat. Trustworthy and a life saver!

GREAT PLACE!!!I was here today , knowing how pawn shops work I was expecting about 1/5 of the value of my items. I brought in two antique watches , and two rings. I told them what I needed and they only kept one ring and have me the other items back. I know other shops that would have taken all of my items and gave me less than what I was looking for. These guys are polite, fair and busy. Thanks Garden City Exchange for great service.!!

I believe I dealt with Tom the owner the other day. The dude is there to make money... not be the lifesafer that pays you 80% of what you paid for the item. Granted Im not talking for him, but the store and Tom both treated me fine, luckily it wasnt busy there. Great deal on some vintage stuff. Thanks for making my day bud. They have a decent selection of tools too, if people are interested... I might be the next time Im there.

The employees in this place are above and beyond excellent! I have both loaned and pawned with them and every time I am met with friendly eager to help staff. When I did pawn, I came here as a last resort as I felt the items I was pawning were worth more then two places before had told me. On first look of my items I was offered more then I thought the items were worth! Highly recommend! I will NEVER go anywhere else!

I have been going to Garden City Exchange for a while now and find the employees very friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgable about their products and I find their prices quite reasonable. I have sold them gold numerous times and they have given me a better price than their competitors. The shop is clean and well kept. I enjoy doing business with the boys and would recommend them to anyone.

everytime im ever in a situation i need on the spot money, these gentlemen are the ones to go to, infact they always pay out the most around , everytime! and their 90 day loans with 3%interest is exceptional! hands down best place to go- for buying and selling also everything i have ever purchased from them has been at an excellent price a excellent quality very good place to do business with!

Clean and polite, but unwilling to budge on price. He has a sign up that he buys unused gift cards but u would later find out that he only accepts certain kinds and values. He should have a sign saying that he only buys "interesting" instruments, if its not u have to come back at a different time of year to better suit "his" needs. I dont recommend going here unless u have enough cash to buy.

Reconsider Spacehog!

Listen, Ive taken an ungodly number of unwanted guitar gear back there, and Ive NEVER had to wrangle with them. They are usually in dead-on the first offer. Other pawn shops play games, and thats why they dont have anything, and are broke. These guys will sometimes do you a solid as well, by offering a little above the 1/3. Theyre revealing result nice, too. The only pawn shop I dont hate.

Very knowledgeable and helpful. I brought in some coins i wanted to get rid of and they were able to give me the best price around. I think the guy who helped me was marcus. I dont really know much about coins but he was teaching some young kid and his grandfather all about the coins they had brought in. He was a real pleasure to deal with and ill be back to Garden City Exchange again.

The people were nice and quick to get you in and out. The only problem I have is with how they go rather low. Like not even close to something you guys can agree upon. So its not the worst pawn shop but its more of a last resort pawn shop. At least the people are cool

This place sucks they told me that the ring i brought in they couldnt loan more than the 200 i got because they would only pay $225 to buy it. What a joke that ring cost $1600 from another local pawn shop so i know thats about what they would get for it....

went in, took awhile to get their attention although there was noone else in there. Acted a little arrogant, but not too bad. i guess it takes while to warm up. would go there again and that says a lot. just need to act nice to new customers, thats all.

You feel welcomed from the staff. They are helpful and friendly to everyone. Great prices on tools and electronic equipment. Best place for highest amount of cash on pawned items. This is my one and only pawnshop that I deal with.
