Find any other appliance repair company to deal with!! A-1 showed up and was here for under 10 minutes - most of the time spent writing up the invoice to take my money for doing nothing. He took all of 30 seconds to diagnose the issue - which could have been done over the phone - then charged me $89 for it (trip charge); none of which will apply towards the actual work being done when they return. So itll be another $100+ for the part and theyll charge $75 more to install it. Total rip off. They could have discussed the issue over the phone when I made the appt & then had the part with them for the visit but then they couldnt charge all the extras so lets throw common decency out the window for price gouging. A-1 does absolutely NOTHING for showing up on the first visit. The tech even informed me to defrost the freezer providing tips on the easiest way, etc for this problem. For $89 he should have done the work himself but then A-1 wouldve needed to put out some effort & they dont do that. A similar issue encounterd with a company while I lived in Atlanta had them actually doing the work & my final bill was under half the cost of what A-1 is charging. Find another company to deal with & make sure that they apply the trip charge to any labor theyll charge for the repair.

Having bought a new home (new to me), I have dealt with various service personnel in order to repair neglected items and get the home into shape. I have been almost uniformly disappointed in the service provided with the exception of A-1 appliance. Jason was on time, efficient, knowledgeable, professional, and one of the more pleasant people I have dealt with. Not only did he fix my stove, he took the time to address things not related to his service visit and proposed cost efficient solutions to them. The cost was a bit on the high side, but not inconsistent with others. He was the only service provider that I thought was worth every penny. In short, Jason is the employee that every employer hopes to have. A-1 is fortunate to have him and they will have a repeat customer in the future.

I just wanted to thank you for your expert advice and teacherly explanations of options for our new washer and dryer. You listened to my needs and found a great solution. Ron came this morning right on time, with a call-ahead. I was delighted to be the first service call, which meant I didnt have to wait all morning for the washer and dryer to arrive. Ron was just as professional and friendly as you. Im very pleased with our new equipment, and having the 5-year service contract at such a reasonable price is great peace of mind, should we ever run into unanticipated situations. Thanks for a thoroughly professional experience, Tom. Major purchases can be cause for stress, but the whole experience from first hello to seeing the delivery truck exit my driveway was a pleasure.

We are remodeling our kitchen and came into their store ready to pick out new appliances. The salesman seemed to be impatient with our questions and got increasingly put out that we didnt know exactly what we wanted within five minutes. Finally, he asked who we were using for our designer. When we told him we were mostly doing it ourselves, he said, "You are Fools for doing it yourselves." Not in a ha ha light hearted kind of way, but in an almost angry way. We thanked him (for calling us fools) and left. It was one of the strangest shopping experiences my wife and I have ever had. Maybe we caught our salesperson on a bad day, but I got the impression the store had a bit of an attitude.

They made things right! I think in todays big-box, digital world, the concept of customer service and satisfaction is way too often forgotten. A-1 has made me think differently. They went out of their way, above and beyond to make things right. I received a personal call from the President of A-1 to fix a problem I had. You dont get that from the big-box chains. You dont get that from e-commerce. You get that from local retailers and local service providers that truly care about their customers. A-1 has proven to me they do truly care. That garners praise in my books.

Just called them because I have a dryer and dishwasher that I st went out. Yep two appliances at once. So anyway I called to set an appt and check prices. He told me that just show up since I have two repairs it would be $209. I thought that cant be right so I asked what that covered as in labor. He said " it doesnt cover anything really thats just a service charge for two appliances". So its $209 just to drive ten minutes down the road to get to the job. Wow! Im in the wrong business. So guess Ill be calling a repair co that actually is close to reasonable.

I had a really bad experience with the repair service at A-1. My refrigerator stopped working, and I called them on a Wednesday. They werent able to send someone until the following Tuesday. On top of that, the guy wasnt able to fix the problem. I understand that a new part needed to be ordered, but he still charged $120 just to LOOK AT IT for 30 minutes. He said the part would be $500 with labor in addition to the $120 he charged to look at it, so we decided to buy a new fridge ELSEWHERE.

The service at A-1 is excellent. I was having trouble with my refrigerators defrost setting. Dave was my serviceman and he did a great job. He was on the early side of his appointment time both times he came out. He diagnosed my problem on a Wednesday and it was fixed with the right ordered part on Friday. He was very polite even though Im sure my two small children were driving him crazy. :) I will defintely use A-1 again. Thanks Dave for the great service!

I think things may have changed at A-1 Appliance possibly after the negative reviews. I bought a high end refrigerator at A1 and had to call them for minor things three times, while the fridge was still under warrenty. Somebody always answered the phone and immediately connected me with service. All 3 times they scheduled service to the next day. I think that based on my experience, I can recommend them without hesitation.

Great store.The staff really knows all the details about all brands of appliances. Customer service is excellent. The installers do an outstanding job. They are very careful not to damage your new appliance or anything else in your home. The installers do a very good job explaining how to use all the features on every appliance. I would highly recommend A-1 Appliance the next time you need a new appliance or service.

Andy helped us select our new refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Jason and Rod delivered and installed them this afternoon. All three of these guys are very easy to deal with, know their appliances well and are very conscientious in the details of their work and service. Can you tell I think they’re great?! This was our very first experience at A-1 and we couldn’t be more pleased.
