It was the deal of a lifetime. Too good to be true! Posted in weekly flyer: GULF OF MAINE HARD SHELL LOBSTERS - 699/lb, SAVE $2/LB. Wife and I made plans to have a great seafood dinner for New Years eve. Placed our order with the manager at the seafood counter for our order to be ready at a particular time on new years eve. At that time I asked him to confirm the size and had him confirm that they were indeed HARD SHELL. Drove 14 miles to pick up the main ingredient for our anticipated dinner. Went home with my 2 treasured lobsters in a heated insulated box, smiling as I entered the house and saw the table all set for our feast. Wife had dug out the hardware for cracking hard shell lobsters. To our disappointment we found that the lobsters were indeed SOFT SHELL and the tools available to crack the shells needed to be changed out in favor of scissors. All in all it was a bad deal since what we received was not worth anywhere near what we paid plus a 14 mile trip to get the DEAL OF A LIFETIME. So was it a mistake or was it "BAIT-N SWITCH"

Absolutely the best selection and customer service in this area! Ive never had a negative experience with any Claremont Hannaford employee, and they have a great selection of natural and organic foods (which is hard to find south of Lebanon). Shopping there is VERY enjoyable, too, because even Hannafords customers are more polite and friendly than what you encounter at other local stores.

I think Hannafords is one of the best Supermarkets in New England, so automatically they all get 3 stars without stepping into them. This one got one more star, its not the biggest one I have been in, but still well laid out and has the stuff I needed any ways!

I love Hannafords..a nice shopping experience. .Its a clean and well stocked grocery store. Employees are very helpful and knowledgeable and go above and beyond to make my shopping fun !! Haha that sounds funny..

Great produce and lots of extras that gives it a Whole Foods feel... But definitly a bit more expensive than other options in town. But like I said they are also selling products you wont find at other stores!
