When I first moved to the area this was the place that I always went to get all my groceries. With the takeover of Albertsons in the area and the buy out of Safeway, Id say that this Vons along with the new replacement for Albertsons, the prices are far too high for the quality of food being sold. There are never enough viable fruits and vegetables like broccoli or grapes in stock, and they really need to do something about the homeless begging in the parking lot. The workers in the store are really the only saving grace to continue my purchases in the store. however, if I am in another part of town I dont hesitate to try out other grocers that have a better atmosphere, less travelers, a valid price for the quality of food, and less homeless in the parking lot. Just to update... Vons now has a recycling center that takes up an entire section of parking... With it being one of the few grocery stores in the area.. Good luck finding parking after 11 am.

Ive lived in this area my whole life and with all the new stores popping up I still think Vons has some of the best grocery produce in the area. However, its hit or miss with certain items like broccoli, bananas, squash, milk, and other Dairy items. Most of the people that work there are friendly but there are a few that just seem like theyre always having a bad day. The fried chicken in the deli area is amazing. And $5 Fridays its always packed in there so be prepared to wait in line.

It doesnt really matter what time of day you go to this store- there is always a ridiculously long line (ironically, right under their 3s a crowd sign which says if theres more than 3 in a line, theyll open a new checkout- which I rarely see happen). Also their prices arent the best and most of their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They got prime real estate so I end up shopping here anyways cuz its literally next door to my house.

The staff is always friendly and ready to help. I LOVE that they now have the 3 or more in aline and theyll open a new checkout. Its always clean. My only "complaint is that theres always homeless people hanging out everywhere and smoking. I have my 3 kids with me who are paranoid of smoke because they have asthma. I wish we could do more about that.

Because this is one of the few major grocery stores in this area, you may need to watch out as this place gets pretty busy at times. The selection is pretty good. Im not much "in the know" about average prices among stores but they seem decent here, especially if you have their club card.

Had a complaint about the way the store judges its customers. The manager (Kathy?) was receptive to my frustration, and had already moved to correct some of the mistake. I know some people are sketchy in this life but ya cant judge a book by its covering. Thanks for listening.

Not too bad on a busy holiday weekend. Wish management would intervene when patrons in motorized cart think they are entitled to wedge their way in the exit of the checkstand and for the checker to process his basket before taking care of the customers waiting in line.

For those familiar with Safeway, Vons is part of the Safeway stores. We love being able to go in to the meat department, pick out serving size seasoned meats to take back to our vacation rental to cook. Its restaurant quality food without restaurant pricing!

Very expensive! Paying for the atmosphere. Always mobbed on weekends and summer, overwhelming! Great for finding some hard to find items. Their deli counter and bakery are the gems of the store.
