I used to feel like this was my diamond in the rough, until everyone else figured it out too... But, with a Safeway club card their prices rival the neighboring Walmart, but the reason I go is for the fast service and personable employees. They always make sure there arent more than three or four customers in line and have swift friendly cashiers.. Their help desk is phenomenal and their employees are far nicer and competent than the surrounding stores. Dont forget to check out their deli for fresh salad as and cold cuts and their fresh cut fruit and vegetable section. They make single serve salads and fruit cups in their store from all of their fresh produce.

I really dont like shopping here and heres why: Everything is really, really expensive. You have to sign up for their program to even get a reasonable deal, and youll still pay more than you want. The cashiers are nice and all, but the whole store has that emotional-manipulation lighting that makes apples actually look tasty. And theres always some obnoxious teenager out front trying to peddle something like those garbage coupon books. I dont want to be acosted when Im dragging my sleepy self to the store.

This store is very clean, and always has exceptionally friendly staff. The cashiers are always friendly, and even the people doing stock in the late hours of the night are happy to help you. They never brush you off or make you feel like a burden while asking for help finding something.. unlike at the Walmart across the street. This store is well worth paying a little extra for your groceries because of the wonderful customer service.

YOU WILL WAIT IN LINE Love the store and staff, but their standard is to not have more than 2 lines open, AND they get 10-15 people deep. Unfortunately the first thing that the staff members tell you is, "sorry for the wait" before they even say hello. Its a shame, you would think they are trying to make people go somewhere else. Hello Raileys, its ten minutes out of my way, but I will still save time.

I always stop here for gas and sushi when Im traveling back and forth to Sacramento. The store is clean and staff is friendly! The sushi is pretty good for grocery store stuff and is made on site every day. The bathroom is the only downside. It is in the very back of the store and it is a one person bathroom (separate male & female) in the stockroom.

Really love how Safeway has Cleaned it up from the 1980s both in stores, products and appearance. The problem however, Is todays Shoppers willing to PAY More for such? That is a gamble that I think SWY Corp will lose in the long run and eventually we will see store closings like what took place with Safeway in the the 90s. So, enjoy it while you can.

I really used to like Safeway. This store still has a good selection of items more so than Walmart. My biggest gripe is if Im going to pay more than Walmart I expect to have short lines and nice employees. The staff here were friendly in the past but recently they all seem angry or disinterested at best.

The workers seem to think they are better than others. They are rude to you if you font look like you "belong there". I avoid going to this store because of how they treat me. I see how they treat "wealthy looking" people and there is a very huge and sad difference.

A good general selection of what youd expect to find at a grocerie shop. They make an effort to carry some local products. Prices are about what youd find at similar stores. Produce is generally good but you can get better from Costco.

Great place to get groceries and fresh produce. One mile from our California condo. Open 24 hours which is very convenient. There is a huge amount of fresh produce and a good selection of wines. Another plus is the internal Starbucks.

Very clean store with a great produce section and plenty of organic choices. Nice selection of ready-to-eat food and have never had a long wait to check out. I drive an extra 2 1/2 miles just to shop here over closer stores.

I ennoy that they keep there store tidy and clean. There employees are friendly and always ready to help when you need assistance. Only down side is when they get busy there not always to good about opening another checkout lane.

Great selection of store brand and name brand items here. The deli with hot asain food is is what sells me on this place. You can get almost any thing you want food related.

Very nice. Reminded me of Pavilions/VONS in LA, but a lot nicer. Prices are more expensive than Winco or Walmart though. Depending though, there are sometimes great deals.

Long lines in the evening with only 2 or 3 lines open. I didnt notice any automated check out lanes. Nice store, but no excuse for the long lines.
