Honestly, I hate this Stop and Shop, and although I live down the street do everything I can to avoid it. Prices are absurd. Place is usually half trashed. Selection is sub standard. Meat selections are absolutely terrible, and the fruit never lasts more than a day or two in my home as it goes bad. The younger register staff is so rude. They eat, drink in front of you, text, talk to their friends, talk to each other in foreign languages insulting you and think youre uneducated and cant understand them...I actually go to another city to shop to avoid it. Wish theyd sell to a better chain with better employees, (minus a few of the older ladies there who I love and are the only reason I ever walk in any more)

Three visits has convinced me this place is a disaster. 20 people in one line with only two registers open. Finally the manager bellowed at a group of employees standing around doing nothing to get on the registers. Another visit, my bagger was drinking her beverage watching me while I bagged my own groceries.Thank you. Last visit, I took my bags out of my cart outside and politely asked an employee headed back in if she could take my cart: "Im on break!" she barked at me, and kept walking. The manager should hire the whole crew and restart. Ill walk the extra half mile to F**dies from now on.

Stop and shop is groceries store that carries everything at very affordable prices from bread, butter, milk, cheese, fruits, vegetables, meats, poultries, seafoods, ready made foods, canned goods, bakery, pastries, and house wares, dertergents, and many others food stuff, drinks, you name it they have it. So accessible place, even walking distance from my place. Also restrooms is available for customers. Customer services is good. Thats why I love shopping at Stop and Shop.

Horrible grocery store. The produce is rarely fresh and sells out very quickly. I have gone before to find the produce section absolutely bare. They have a small selection of items and is always very crowded. The only reason it gets crowded is because it is in a convenient location. If you have means to travel to a different grocery store -- definitely do so. Do not waste your time here.

Im done with this place. The facility is grimy; the produce is shameful; and the help is surly. The young woman taking inventory this morning with her feet on the meat counter -- see photo -- was enough for me. The good citizens of Southie ought to petition Demoulas to take this over.

This is a smallish grocery store that Stop & Shop bought back in the day. (it used to be called Flanagans). I go for the convenience of walking there from my house, but there is much wider variety if you go to one of their larger stores.

Literally everyone who works there treats you like you just offended their family ancestry and ran over their dog. The store itself is fine for what it is: the only grocery store within walking distance in South Boston.

I like it just fine-but as a regular, please know that this is Boston and this isnt a spacious grocery store. Keep your head on a swivel and step aside for those in a rush.
