I love shopping there because of all the cheap prices and the spanish products that you cant get from any other supermarkets but marketbasket. They are always stocked execpt that one time my favorite brand of sofrito ran out lol. Was sad but got over it. However the only problem i have is; the have all these damn registers and only have about 4 open all the time leaving long lines of fully stocked carts filled with food. OPEN UP ALL THE DAMN REGISTERS OR TAKE THEM OUT!.... (just snapped). Also the traffic jamn is real! It always takes me forever to get to one thing because ppl move slow, park the carts in well used areas and are just skimming. But all in all, its a good supermarket and you get more for your money. You go to market basket and spend $100-$200 and you can feed your family for 2-3 weeks. *you go to Stop&Shop you spend that same amount and you feed your family for a couple days to a week. See the difference? I would recommend Market Basket.

I was at the register asked if I want debit or credit seeing as though they do not have chip readers I replied debit. The card reader revealed credit, I replied I asked for debit, the young cashier preceded to argue with me saying you said credit I replied you do not argue with the customer meanwhile the manager standing there asked whats wrong I replied you do not argue with the customer. The manager stated well she has to ask what way you are paying I replied I told her how I was paying it still does not give her the right to argue with a customer. Now I am becoming irate with his smart remark as his cashier is right to argue with the customer. I replied do not make me call corporate he replied go ahead. Really, I am visiting your town from NC and thats the way one treats another. WOW!!!

I dont know if there was ever a time when I shopped here and the cashiers werent yapping to each other while I was checking out. Be it in Spanish or about School stuff and/or boyfriends ....who the hell cares. Pay attention to your customer and your job. Also everytime I leave the store I rebag my items. Tell the bagger to "fill the bags" and he/she is clueless. I like the bags full, not 1 item to a bag. What a waste. And stocking the shelves in the middle of the day?? People have a hard enough time manuevering around the store.

Great prices and excellent selection of international goods! Yes, it gets crowded after work and on weekends, but for good reason; staff members are efficient and quick at checkout. This location has a good sized parking lot so finding a spot is rarely an issue (unlike some of their other locations). I go out of my way to support the Demoulas family because of their community focus and the way they value their employees, along with consistently high quality in all areas of their business

This store has great prices and selection, has many helpful employees in the aisles, and famously treats its employees well. Because of this locations popularity, be prepared for crowded aisles that can feel claustrophobic. In addition, the produces quality is only average. If youre not going through the express checkout, you usually will wait a few minutes in line before your items begin to be scanned, even though all the registers are typically open.

It is crazy busy in there all the time! Patience is important. BUT the prices are awesome. I always have a good experience. Everyone is so friendly and we are all in there for the same reason -- good food at a great price. Being from the South, its one of my fave places to go. I never meet a stranger there! Definitely come here for groceries. Down to earth, great people!

I just got home from shopping at the Salem store. I have been looking for this particular item for weeks. One of the girls there, JANE, was stocking the shelves. I told her of my plight. My goodnes, she was the most helpful person I have ever run into. She found the manager, and they both found the product in the back. Koodos to Jane!!!!

They have the longest lines of any grocer and the prices arent that much better than their direct competitors as they are within a few percentage points of their competitors (namely Shaws and Stop & Shop). Their indirect competitors (Costco and Trader Joes) are without question 20-30% cheaper and provides far superior service.

Great service, but you were out of some products! Deli grab and go was empty, no williw tree chicken. salad , bread in the deli was almost out!I Had to go get products at well stocked stop and shop.If you do not have all the products in the Lynn store when it opens, Stop and shop will blow you away!

I love this store because their prices are so low. Everybody shops here because of that. You would think that the other stores in the area would catch on to that fact and lower their prices.Its always busy in there but I have no problem checking out because I only get a few things at a time.

Good prices but pure hell to visit. My son calls it the crazy store. The staff are nice and try to do their best.. the clientele is what makes it bad. Total zoo.. rude and pushy people. Going in this place you would think they were giving the food away for free...

Pronounced Mahket basket. There is no grocery store like it. Alot cheaper than stop and shop but its crazy busy. There are literally multiple groups of people just stopping for a chat in all places of the store. Everyone goes there and my Nana use to swear by it.

Market Basket is the definitely one of the best super markets chains in the USA, bu they need to get better quality meat, their fruits and veggies selection is pretty great (they even have organic), but the meat is just horrible (specially their chicken).

The best prices and best selection of any other grocery store in the area. I always get twice the amount of groceries I do here vs. a Shaws or Stop n Shop. Also, great quality meats in the deli, and fresh, well-priced produce.

This store has diversity and low prices, fresh food that stays fresh after you bring it home. The fish department ordered fresh Calamari for me last Xmas when they ran out and kept their promise that Id have it on time!

Just so you know it has been my experience over the past 18 years that this particular chain(market basket) picks and chooses and changes arbitrarily various name brands often substituting them with their own MB brand.

The place is always backed on the weekends and there is never enough room near the register lines. Employee are not able to be found if you have a question or concern. Fend for yourself and good luck in the madness.

Good prices, fresh produce, and all the other groceries you need. Parking lot can be a heart-pounding experience during busy times. If youre in between Danvers and Salem, go to the Danvers Market Basket instead.

This location is by far the worst location due to its physical location. It is always extremely crowded and impossible to get in and out of; add a storm or major sporting event and its hell on earth.
