BLUF: The Good: fish and produce selection, coconut macaroons, they sell Lake Champlain chocolates, good Halo Top selection, the staff, and their Berry Chantilly cake! The Bad: the bathrooms, they took the sandwich options off the menu, small. This location serves its purpose, and Im so grateful we have a Whole Foods nearby at all, but after being to the Whole Foods in Montgomery, AL of all places and Oakland, CA, I now know what I am missing. The selection is what youd expect from a smaller Whole Foods chain, I can typically find what Im looking for in the produce and meat sections, which are the most important to me. Recently, their deli took the sandwich options off the menu. They still do serve sandwiches, but what I create has never been as good as their menu options. I never even know where to start, so I havent been back to their deli since.

Great store comma great staff. Been a little disappointed lately with the vegetables and fruits. Prices are high and the fruit does not last as long as it used to not sure if they change vendors. The bigger stores are much too crowded dont care for that environment love the small intimate stores. The produce area and my opinion needs a good clean up to get rid of the underlined fungus. Citrus should not have a white film on it and its not wax we buy organic only organic when theres a white film on the Citrus I will not purchase it. Have spoken to the produce manager and the store manager but they can only do what they can corporate needs to step in.

I frequently shop here since I live in the area. The store is average sized so you may not find many items here than their other stores. For the grocery basics they have you covered. Employees there are always enthusiastic and helpful. However shopping here can get expensive - I highly recommend taking the time to read the circulars and buy whats on sale (they have Black Friday specials - hint hint). Shopping here with a plan can be affordable if you do this. In my experience, some of their produce is comparable or cheaper than produce at some supermarket chains.

This whole foods is always buzzing. At least in my experience. Ive been to others that appear to be understocked and a little depressing. Every time I enter this one. Theres people stocking shelves and the cashiers are always smiling. Also to mention, the hot food line here is ALWAYS on point. Ask for David or Christopher in the prepared foods department for prompt help!

This store is the worst. I go to Lynnfield for the much better selection. They carry very few organic items in produce and seem to carry almost none of the dairy and frozen items I love because they have so limited space. Most of the food bar seems to be unhealthy options- lots of chicken wings and mashed potatoes. More like a cheap grocery store than a Whole Foods.

Used to love this place. So convenient. Im sad to see that they are giving in to corporate dictates to upsell as much as possible; literally, the registers are bursting with candies and other items, even to the point of covering the area where people need to set their food. Dont know how things will change now that Amazon has bought them up, of course.

Good. Fresh cook food at the deli. But. Regular staple like ok and milk are too expensive. Most groceries are expensive. The login is when you order things at the deli that I prepared and cooked maybe $10 a pound for pound of cooked chicken or lasagna , meatloaf . These taste fresh and excellent.

I went in to pick up a rotisserie chicken for dinner later..when we served it later it was so dry..almost unchewable. Im sure it was not cooked that day. So I paid 9.99$ for a chicken that sat in plastic heating under that lamp for at least a day.beware folks

I went to the Melrose Whole foods to get a salad and the lettuce was all brown and limp. It looked terrible. I asked if they had any fresh salad for the salad bar and they said no? How disappointing. Guess Ill go to Wegmans next time for salad.

Love Whole Foods - I like getting the prepared dishes and trying to buy as organic and natural as possible. The only con is that it is expensive - I always check out the circulars and they usually have my staples on there at least once a month.

They are not usually open at 8am. Usually they open at 8:15. When they do open they are usually not prepared to assist customers. The fish and meat are not out yet. I find the cookies and cakes in the display case are not fresh.

Nice clean store, great selection of fresh foods, groceries, Health & Beauty. They also have a wide selection of floral, including dry lavender and lavender sachets! This store is a favorite of mine.

Making your own fresh honey roasted peanut butter and almond butter is the only thing that Ill indulge myself with here. I feel like everything else is just more expensive than a normal supermarket

I just wonder why the advertising says it is open in Melrose till 10:00 pm. My husband is coming from there and it is being closed at 9:40 pm and nobody is in there. Such a misleading information.

Your typical Whole Foods, but smaller. The cheese department is too small. Produce is sold very far from ripeness. Sometimes out of things, especially in evening. Staff are pleasant and helpful.

I purchased haddock at the Melrose store. It was not fresh and looked like it was sitting around for some time. I expected better, but this store is consistently sub par_ very disappointing.

Very rude employe tells my sister to clean up a mess that she didnt even do. The employee yells at her just because a dog peed at the floor. Not very happy.

Great staff, great place to get meat if you live around Melrose. Fresh baked breads are great and a great selection for lunch if your in the area.

Sometimes the food / salad bar closes 45 minutes to an hour before closing, this annoying to me.
