I bought my front door at FPG, expecting to get a full service experience from a reputable name. A month after installation, the door started cracking in several places. I called FPG and spoke to the manager Peter Cofino who went on to tell me that I subcontracted the finishing and installation of my door and therefore they were not responsible. When I told him that wasnt the case, I contracted FPG for the complete service, he went on for several minutes to negate this and blame me. When I asked to speak to the sales rep that sold me the door, he told me he no longer worked there (convenient). It turns out that FPG decided to subcontract my door without my knowledge and now they are washing themselves of any responsibility. Do not trust FPG. After spending almost $5000 you would expect at least some level of respect for the customer. I have never had such a terrible experience. ***** Google will not let me reply back to FPG on their response so I am updating here- for anyone interested you can reference my review on FPGs Facebook page and see the receipt from FPG with painting and installation included, as well as delivery method of the door by FPG trucks. What amazes me that FPG continues to fight me on this (as with every other review on here- that should tell you something about their character and treatment towards customers). I did not state that I contacted anyone directly, this is a lie by FPG. They subcontracted my door without my knowledge. At this point I am not expecting your advice FPG, I am expecting you to take responsibility for your poor product and service.

I am a licensed carpentry contractor with 33 years in the business. I only went to FPG because my client liked the design on the doors he bought, however I took my own measurements on the door openings and told the salesman the overall measurements the doors needed to be but to no avail, the doors were still 6 8" so I had to cut them myself in a balcony no bigger than 4 wide by 10 long which is what I was trying to avoid from the beginning, the door stops looked like they were nailed by a 10 yr old and with no more than 10psi on the compressor where they all show, two doors have gashes which couldnt have been seen at time of delivery because the jamb was covering them, one door is missing the strike mortise: I hope this can help the owners better their business, if not, this has been a lesson for me and for my future clients about where to go for their next order.

be very carful with this people very nice at selling and getting your money, after that you are on your own. payed for a special lock, and they forgot to instal it, had to wait for it after installed, the same person that recommended the type and model decided that it was not the correct dor based on the location of it, yes it was one of the more expensive ones and they were happy to recommended and charge me for it but after it was install, then it was not the correct one. the special medeco lock installed comes with a "special" warranty... i have to take it out, leave the house open and bring it to them to see if it can be fixed. and if you are not happy with the service from the "service manager", then you can send a letter to the owner to complain so you see, its pay and after that you are on your own

sales person is very rude and defensive I spent over $ 550.00 in closet door needed a total of $ 6000.00 more in closet door and in the first order they made a mistake taking advantage that the customer does not know the trade I especifically told thesales person Mariano that the opening of the closet was 59" wide 78-3/4" and he wrote on the work order reduce to 59x78-3/4. I assume that the worker would know that the measurement on the order were the opening. If I knew what size to cut the door I would not have paid them 100 dollar per door. I would have done the modifying myself. When I call the sales person back instead of offering a solution he blame the whole thing on me the customer. Great attitude for the sales person. thanks for nothing.

This is the absolute worst company and their employees are very rude after you make a purchase. I bought expensive exterior doors from them. I called to ask their advice when the doors started leaking inside my house and no one answered the phone or returned the many messages I left. When I finally got a rep, he was very defensive and told me to bring the doors back. I told him I could not do that as my home would be open to the elements. He rudely answered, "Just put up some boards." I am out over $3000 and have poor quality doors that I cant afford to replace. Dont expect any service if anything goes wrong. They should not be in the customer service business!

Yo compre hace un tiempo alli y fue fatal la puerta y el marco no tenia bien las medidas y cuando reclame la solucion era pasarle una cuchilla para acabarla mas segun me dijeron profecionales ( carpinteros ) al final no hicieron nada y la puerta es de muy mala calidad y el precio nada barato un desastre

As I walked in there were two girls behind a desk...I spoke to one girl started to explain what I needed and she, without a word pointed me to a row of chairs where everyone was waiting... I waited an hour, no one asked if they could help me...finally a young salesman who seemed to be bored led me around, no suggestions, answered my questions if I asked, period....There is NO WAY I am spending over 6 thousand dollars at this place....This is now, imagine if I have a problem ....If you want service this is not your place!

Great prices. Passable if somewhat slow service in the store. After that, it doesnt go downhill, it falls off a cliff. If you call for service once and dont get help (which is likelier than not the case) and you call back, youll be treated as an irritant. Deliveries are at their leisure and discretion. Youll get it when you get it. In an area Dade County, notorious for bad service they rank among the top of the worst. No stars? They owe stars for their bad service.

I was there last week looking for an exterior entry door. After looking around a while, I asked someone who was busy with another customer at a desk and he told me to get a number and talk to the people at the counter. Even though there were many people behind the counter, no one seemed to be interested in helping me. I took a number and waited and while and then left. Very poor customer service!

Horrible customer service! I recently went to FPG to obtain a quote for a door and I had to wait for over one hour to speak to a salesperson. FPG has beautiful doors and mechanism, but its not worth the aggravation of having to wait for so long to speak to someone for something as simple as a quote.

My experience was very pleasant. Alain was our sales person, waiting time was about 15-20min. Prices are bit under home depot. I initially saw other reviews and was Lil scare, but no wven close to horrible comments from other users. Go with Alain, he is very courteous
