Owner behavior is really worst and he doesn’t respect the customers. Vegetables are getting spoiled very quickly and seem to be low quality produce. Water became green color after keeping Beerakaya in water for few minutes. Rice, Toor Dal and some items found to be having bugs. We bought samosa one day and it was spoiled inside. He was pretending that it was fresh. They pack some vegetables in the plastic bag. We really can’t separate the vegetables which are not fresh. We have to buy complete bag, he won’t allow us to take the vegetables out. It’s a kind of business trick to sale vegetables without allowing the customers to filter out the bad ones. I called this store to check if they can accept the return of previously purchased item, one lady answered the call and she confirmed that they would accept the return. After going to the store, he was not accepting the return and behaving un- professional way. For him customer satisfaction is not at all important.

I went to buy Biryani trays once...and i was surprised to see that he is selling used trays...( might be from the sweets that they sell in their store) and i showed the owner that all the trays are used ones and that is very bad. He pretended as if he never knew that the trays are used ones and he kept telling that he got the trays like that from the seller..bla bla bla. He kept saying that he will return it to the seller and acted as if he is disappointed.. I went to the store after a month or so again...and i saw the same used to trays being sold :( :( Pathetic Indian Grocers i have ever seen. Even after someone noted if he thought that he can continue doing that... It is only because he thinks that people dont read the reviews.

I usually do not write any reviews but I wanted to write a review as I too had a worst experience in this store.. We bought Horlicks for $13.99 and immediate next day we realized that same Horlicks we are getting in AAPKA BAZAAR for $5.99. As soon as we realize, My wife called to this store and explained about the price differences and the way of response that store guy is giving not at all acceptable. He should change his behavior with customers. I would not recommend this store to any of my friends because of Cheap quality of groceries, More expensive compared to other stores, most importantly behavior with customers is not at all good..

I gave one star only because this is reasonable store in the area. You have to check all the items before you buy. Half are expired and some has no mfg date as well. If you return those owner will make faces and he will insult them in from of everyone also he will keep the count of the items you have returned even though that is just 2 or 3 in 2 years after purchasing more than $1000 worth of items from that store. Owner is pathetic and rude. Owner should respect customers genuinely.

Worst experience walking into the store. Asked owner for an item. Directed me to a board saying item is sold out. I said the item I asked isnt listed there. Started yelling and screaming at me that I cant read. When I told him to stop and that I was going to write a review on google- he said he doesnt care and there are 10 customers like me writing reviews and that he can pay people to write better reviews than me. Avoid this place

Pros: The most competitive prices among KOP area Indian grocery shops. If I have to buy a lot of things, the savings made buying here are worth a trip. Cons: The shop owner is quite a character. He can be a pushy salesman type. If you dont buy something he is showing off, he will make wise-crack comment. He is also a bigot and ill-mannered. Sometimes he starts preaching about the religious cult he follows(Swaminarayan).

WORST EXPERIANCE I HAVE EVER VISITED I MY LIFE.. OWNER IS ILLITERATE GUY SND DONT KNOW HOW TO BEHAVE WITH CUSTOMERS .. THEY SELL CHEAP STUFF . I BOUGHT FROZEN ROTI AND IT WAS VERY BAD THAT I HAD FOUND SOME INSECTS IN THAT, LATER WHEN I WENT TO RETURN IT HE SAYS THEY WONT TAKE RETURN AFTER 24HRS AND BEHAVED VERY RUDE . PLEASE AVOID BUYING STUFF FROM THAT SHOP IF YOU DONT WANT TO FEEL SICK.. I GIVE 0 RATING FOR THAT.

Its not a matter if store is big and they have many verity of items. Regular customers look only fresh vegetables , reasonable prices and good behavior staff and owner, which we dont find here, I have noticed in recent the owner behavior is very rude towards to customers, I believe he should go under psychological treatment in soon, So guys we have many Indian stores around us find best one and proceed.

I agree the prices are competitive but their billing system is so confusing... Sometimes they will put more also and you cant ask them because you will not be able to differentiate in the bill ... It just says fruit or veggie or miscellaneous in the bill ... It wont specify particularly what you are paying like beans or carrots ...

I have been going to this place for while now.The items used to be fresh earlier but recently had a couple of incidents which made me worry on quality and found expired items being sold. I got to know the earlier owner out of the business for the very same reason. Be careful wn buying stuff from here especially wn u have kids.

Fresh vegetables! The only vegetarian Indian store to my knowledge. Have lots of options. Their greens are always fresh (Mint, Spinach, Corriander, Drumstick leaves, Gonkura etc.). Their Okra/Bhindi is the best and cheapest in Philly! Other items are slightly pricey but well worth it!

I have been going there for some time now. I wont be going back because the manager thinks he knows better and argued with me. All I wanted to do was to exchange a bag of rice (aged basmati ) with a more expensive one, but I couldnt because I got a lecture from the manager.

Good collection and decent price. Good collection of Indian grocery items Rates are often as good as Bhavani... Which is very much hyped here. If you stay near KOP and do not want to travel exton, go here. Owner is interesting person and likes to talk a lot.

Akshay is a wonderful, nice and friendly guy. He runs the place very well never had any issues. He is very good to his customers. He has sugarcane juice which will remind you of your home country. Every visit is a great shopping experience.

Prices are horrible. Vegetables gets spoiled quickly. Unlike other stores all vegetables will be kept in freezer here all the time and they get spoiled withing days after purchase. No expiry dates on many products.
