Before I moved to Houston, TX. I had my 09 Lincoln MKX serviced. I literally picketed up my car from my dealership in Boston before hitting the road for the 1,900 mile trek to Texas. Within a week of arriving I brought my SUV in Owens to have the brake pads replaced. Thats when everything started to go wrong. I was told that I needed to have my rotors replaced in addition to the brake pads replaced. Fine with me. replace the back rotors and all brake pads. Anything that needs to be done to make sure Im safe in my SUV. It was inconvenient to have to wait over 24hours for the repairs to be done. No big deal; it happens. Not every dealership was like my previous one. I picked up my car and paid the $400 for the repairs. That seemed excessive but the work was done, and Id rather shop around but my brakes were "questionable" (as I was told). I picked up my car on Wednesday. On Friday evening I was heading the airport when the first problem started. The ABS lights came on after I hit 70mph. Shortly thereafter the small wrench lit up and the tire pressure hazards light as well. Surprising to say the least! The lights subsequently went off as I reached the airport to pick up my fiance, who was a pilot. I told him about the problem but it didnt happen again. But it did happen when I went to drop him off at the airport again 3 days later. I worked 3 miles from where I lived in Houston. I rarely was in the car long enough to have the same problem happen. Which only seemed to when I made my weekend pick-ups to the airport! A few weeks later my wheels also began to squeak. With multiple issues happening my fiance took the car back to the dealership. He was placated and told to bring the car back if it keeps squeaking and when the light indicator problem happens again. A few weeks later, I took the car back. The same problems was happening and getting worse. I lived in Houston for less than 3months but was moving again. I needed to get this problem fixed/resolved before I did so. I brought my car back and paid another $60 to be told what was wrong with my car. I was told that the squeaking was from the front wheels because of rust. The sensors were going off because my left front half shaft was broken. But because they replaced the BACK rotors it would cost me another $789.00 to fix. Though I was told when I paid the initial $400 that all brake pads would be replaced as well as the back rotors. Suffice to say I declined them doing any additional work. With my fiance back on active duty I should have been able to bring my vehicle in for service and not feel as if Im being taken advantage of. The sqeaking turned out to be coming from the BACK wheels due to shoddy brake pads that were placed on my car. Though I was charged for top dollar parts. And though I have no proof and pure speculation on my part, I believe the service department at West Point is responsible for problems that arose with my cars sensors. I took my vehicle to another dealership that provided better service and a more comprehensive and complete explanation of the charges (which was not even close to the price I was quoted at West Point; which included random other services).Having had a similar conversation with another female customer as we waited on line to pay for our services, I dont believe this to be an isolated incident. The fact that multiple complaints and trips did not result in a satisfactory resolution is bad customer service. Attempting to con me out of an additional $800 after purchasing close to $500 worth of service repairs that quite frankly had to be redone is just bad business. Future customers beware.

I was more than disappointed with my first Lincoln dealership visit, and West Point Lincoln will be surly my last visit. My family and I went there this past Saturday evening around 4:30 pm, and as we parked the car in the customer shot a gentlemen just stood inside by the door. Without any type of acknowledgement, we walked passed him and into the show room. Please note that we were the only customers there at the time. Out of curiosity, I asked the gentlemen if he was a sales person, and to my surprise he was. Without knowledge of basic customer courtesy, he never asked for my name and question why stopped by. I had to info him that I was interested in the Navigator. Using the term as "Sales Person" for this gentlemen is being polite, as he was not in any sense of the word. He asked us if we would like to look at the vehicle, and we said yes. Upon showing us the vehicles at the back it was then that we realized that this "sales person" did not bring the keys nor did he intended to have brought the keys to the vehicle. He understood it as that we only wanted to "look" at the vehicle and even questioned us several times if we even wanted him to go back to the building to get the keys. At this point we decided to just leave this place, and was more than disappointed with what they called "#1 Lincoln Navigator Dealer in the Nation." I do not understand why this dealership was rated so highly on Google review, after my experience we may not even purchase a Lincoln.

In March of 2014, my Lincoln LS check engine light came on, and vehicle was idling very roughly. Diagnostic test led to “failed stress test.” West Point Lincoln said the way to fix this problem is to replace 5 of 8 coils and spark plugs for about $1000. This was a major (8-hour) job. They additionally informed me that they found a slow oil leak in the engine area, and that fixing it would be a 2nd full day of work at ~$2000. They indicated it wasn’t serious and could wait, so I elected to not do the additional job. Fast forward to 14 months later, May of 2015. Same problem occurred. My local mechanic ran a diagnostic and found that 1 coil was mis-firing and needed to be replaced. I described the work that had been done previously by West Point Lincoln, and he informed me that 4 of the 8 coils were still factory/stock, suggesting that I had been scammed by West Point Lincoln, who charged me for 5 of 8 coils but clearly replaced only 4. Additionally, West Point Lincoln treated the symptom rather than treating the cause of the problem. The cause turned out to be leaky valve cover gaskets. Replacing them was supposedly the 2nd day of work they suggested to me at ~$2000. My new mechanic replaced the dead coil AND fixed the oil leak for $1200. West Point Lincoln was going to charge me ~$3000 for the combined jobs. I conclude that West Point Lincoln mechanics are incompetent and dishonest. Avoid at all costs.

Summer of 2009 my 2000 Mercury Mountaineers engine overheated on a business trip to Corpus Christi. When I got it back to the point of original purchase, they told me I needed a new engine. I elected to install a NEW motor (not rebuilt). They did and I picked it up & drove it for less than two months. Had an engine problem & brought it back to them when they told me they needed $100 dollars to put it on the computer. I gave it to them. They told me my vehicle needed an "engine wirring harness". It was over $600 for the part, let alone labor. The engine cost 0ver $4,000. I couldt afford this. Two weeks later the engine overheated. I have a two year automotive mechanical certification. So, I elected to fix the problems myself. What I found under my hood was FAR from normal! The water pump, along with many other components had, just, "finger tight" bolts & nuts holding them in/on! I didnt need wrenches & sockets to take my engine apart! With my "service" experience, I suggest you only buy from them. Dont let them work on your vehicle! The mechanics seem competent. What I saw was the mechanics management running the mechanics so hard that they never had time to complete a task before they sent them to check on "something else" for another customer. The "upper management" had no desire to correct their problems, or resolve my issue with my vehicle. So, this experience needs to stand for all to see. Good Luck!
