Horrible place!!! Horrible management, horrible customer service, however, prices and vegetables are good. But how can you like the place even though the prices are good if the following happened to you within the last 5 months. I bet there are some claims and legal cases against this store already placed in courts, i would definitely join. 1. On the parking lot... a stack of shopping carts was wrecked into our car making a huge scratch on the front right wing (passenger side) and damaging the metal and paint. We went inside the store to make a claim/complaint to the management. The answer was "We are not responsible, go complaint anywhere if you want..." 2. Rain check... They just dont honor it. We had a rain check for some groceries. When it was given to us we were told that it has no expiration date and will be honored in any SuperKing store. We tried to use the rain check after few weeks, we were told it was expired... Manager came, smiled and ripped the check right in front of us and with that same smile said "It was expired, go complaint anywhere if you want..." 3. Meat department... I tried to purchase some lamb chops one day, the service guy in meat department started to load some dark filthy looking pieces in the bag on the scales, i felt bad smell from quite a distance from that scale. So, when he finished weighting the meat, he wrapped the bag, put the label on it and handed the bag to me. I smelled rotten meat through the plastic bag. I immediately handed the bag to the service man and asked to call the management so they can see and smell what they sell. Manager came and with the smile he said "If you dont like it, go complaint anywhere if you want...", but brought me the freshly cut meat instead of the rotten one... I told them to remove the rotten meat from the shelf... you think anyone cared about it? I specifically came back in 20 min. to check, same meat was there.... I wander how many people could get poisoned with it... SO, IF THIS IS NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU, TRY VISITING THIS PLACE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF, YOU WILL NOTICE AT LEAST ONE PROBLEM / INCIDENT, if you get out of there on your car with no damage.

As a customer of king I never imagined after all the money me and my family spends here for a $12 product the manager will let me take the loss vs Super King. So I buy a whole hookah set up and take it home after paying about 55.00 dollars for the hookah, flavor and charcoal. I get home to smoke and first realize there is a small plastic piece the employee didnt include so I use another method to get bye. I open the flavor and its really dry. Unusually dry. So I try it and smoke I already opened the can of tobacco flavor which cost me 12 might as well try to smoke it. I realize its too dry. Im not getting the enjoyment and satisfaction and 100 percent its the old flavor. So I take the flavor next evening and head in to King and say can I please pay the difference and buy a $18 flavor instead and get the plastic piece. Manager refuses to take back the old flavor. States he knows nothing about hookah flavor and if I didnt like the brand of flavor I got I should throw away the 12 dollar dry flavor they sold me and buy another brand that might be better (no guarantees) but he will give me the plastic piece. I cant find words to explain how inexperienced this manager is in customer service and how they can only look at their profit. He stated by law he cant take back tobacco products but im sure if he told his vendor to exchange that can of flavor they most certainly would versus loosing the privilege of selling their products at Super King. The sad part for this manager he failed to catch the point that most probably the rest of the flavors from that brand I had purchased are dried up as well and he should find means of replacing them with better quality tobacco. Rather he will keep It on the shelve until another customer walks in and makes the mistake of purchasing that brand tobacco so again instead of king taking the hit the customer gets dinged. Catch my drift? Manage on

Hey Vick, if you dont like it shop somewhere else. Go to Ralph or Vons and pay a whole lot more. You are bitching worst than a little girl scared at a haunted house. Im Native American, Navajo and Hopi, and what you are doing would be the equivalent of me bitching me cause I go to a market and people are not talking my native dialogue. Which was here way before the white man invaded this land. Actually, Spanish and many other dialogues was spoken here before English ever was. Dont forget that one third of the U.S. Belonged to Mexico once. So get over it! This is a great market to shop in. Like most ethnic markets they have great prices and speak Spanish or some other language. Ive been in Asian and Middle Eastern markets where they speak in their own languages. If that bothers you like it does Vick, dont shop there! Just because they use their own language to communicate with each other or with most of their customers, it doesnt mean that no one speaks English. They have great prices that only markets such as Vallarta, El Superior, El Super can compete with them. Ralph, Vons, and even Walmart or Walmart Markets cant.

Just moved to the area and tried this Super KIng three times. The first time I couldnt get into the produce section, too many people, and the shopping carts are too big. It was gridlock. I left. The second time I went, it was less crowded and things went ok. Checkout lines were very long and other shoppers are kinda rude, oblivious to others who are trying to move around the store. The third time was today, things were going very well until I got to the checkout. After a fairly long wait, the payment system went down just as I was trying to pay. No credit or debit cards could be accepted. They claimed this was a "statewide" problem, but several other stores I went to later on were not having this issue. I walked out with no groceries. I really wanted to like this place, but they make it very hard. Not worth it for the low prices.

This place is great for produce, meats, nuts, legumes, baked goods, alcohol, and not much else. If you need eggs, dairy, baby items, snacks, stick to food 4 less or Walmart as far as prices are concerned. This place is kind of similar to Jons, which is great too. They have great ethnic selections, such as middle eastern products. Unfortunately, they pack the isles rather tightly, and people, being people, are extremely rude and have no bloody idea how to navigate the isles with their shopping carts, kind of like how people dont know how to navigate roads with their cars. The parking in Plaza Di Northridge can be an utter nightmare, but the produce prices are worth it alone. Just check the weekly mailer adds or download the super awesome app "Flipp." You wont be disappointed.

Ive been shopping at their los angeles location for over 22 years. I was stoked when i heard of their opening at northridge and van nuys. Very inexpensive produce, non perishable items. Laundry soaps, deli meats, meat department and my favorite, the coffee and candy section. Love middle eastern stuff. Good selection of spices and not to forget their bakery. The smell of fresh baked bolillos to die for. Ok, Im exaggerating...not! Please expand to ventura county. Majority of family and friends live in simi valley, moorpark and camarillo
