I found Super King a couple of years ago through a friend. What I love most about the grocery store is the Produce section. It is the first section you walk into when entering the store. This does not matter the location as I use both the store in Van Nuys and the one in Northridge. They have an amazing array of produce and the quality is superb. Fresh product, amazing variety (great for finding something you never tried before), prices that are THE BEST IN TOWN. I can buy two weeks worth of (single person) vegetables and fruits for under $20 and still have way more that I can use. The negative -- everyone shops there! It can be a chaotic mess with people with the normal "no one knows or pays attention" frustration. The one in Northridge is especially bad (no matter the time of day or which day of week) because the store is smaller in the produce section. No matter the negative it is worth the frustration as the selection, variety, freshness and prices outweigh.

This market use to be 5 stars BUT within the last 4 to 6 months the ONCE HIGH QUALITY is NO more. I just went late yesterday(around 6PM) and the fruits and vegetables looked really BAD..... SEA FOOD then I passed thru the sea food and the SMELL WAS SO BAD!!! PEOPLE FOR THE RECORD GOOD OR EVEN OK SEA FOOD SHOULD N E V E R E V E R SMELL LIKE THAT!! MEAT COUNTER/SECTION Then I went to look at the meat and let me tell you!!! Chicken should NEVER have a green color to it!!! I cant even imagine what the smell would be like once that green chicken is unwrapped. ..yuk!! DELI COUNTER I found it UNSAFE - DUE TO ALL COLD CUTES ARE SITTING OUT ON A TABLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DELI AT ROOM TEMPERATURE! !!! I ASKED FOR A SAMPLE OF THE BLACK FOREST HAM AND 1ST THING I NOTICED HOW WARM IT WAS!! N A S T Y!! SUPERKING PLEASE BRING THE FRESHNESS BACK!!

This is by far the worst run company/store....they have absurd rules for the customers it is almost like living in a third world country...speaking to the supervisors gets you no where as they feel they are a private company that can make up rules as they wish...personally I believe from some of their own comments they might be racist or if not some type of discrimination has or is occurring....i dont shop here and I live within walking distance.....i would rather shop at smart and final or Ralphs....even a flea market is better....their management is completely arrogant....Furthermore the original Super King has been to court for several questionable marketing and selling practices....if you want to deal with thieves and crooks youve been warned

My all time favorite grocery store. The freshest and greatest variety of produce items. Most of which you could not find elsewhere (not under one roof). Great deli section, and a huge variety of authentic Middle Eastern foods and food related supplies. All the above described comes your way at very low prices. When it comes to regular grocery items (that are easy to find on other stores) it is my opinion that they are a bit over priced here. I am cool with it though... As long as I can find my rare items here for cheap, I have no problem shopping for the remainder elsewhere.

El lugar esta muy concurrido. Esta bastante surtido tiene buena bariedad de productos. Pero lo malo es el estacionamiento esta muy reducido y hay un poco de problema para encontrar un lugar. Es por eso las 4 estrellas

Lines are always huge and customer service is the worst. They have items advertised and when you go to the register they ring up full price. Items in aisle have a sale price and when you go to the register they ring up differently. Managers dont even honor price displayed. Plus, items advertised are always out of stock. Seriously, would not recommend this grocery store. Needs lots of improvement! Recommend Jons & Food 4 Less!

DO NOT BUY FROM THE MEAT COUNTER!!! On two separate occasions I purchased meat from the counter in the back and both times it was spoiled. The first time was chicken and the second was ground beef and flap meat. Nothing ruins a grocery store like bad meat. I only go to Super King for produce and pistachios. Cant say I didnt warn ya. The customers have no sense of common courtesy and its always like a 405 traffic jam in there.

My wife and I enjoy coming to this market, she comes from a Russian background and I am Guatemalan. You can find all kind of food and spices youll need. This is what I call "International Supermarket " since they have food and alcoholic beverages from all over the world, from Latin America, Europe, Middle East to Asia. Their prices are very accessible too. Oh and before I forget, they have a pretty good rewards program

Huge selection of everything that you can think about. International products that you will not find in other supermarkets. Super inexpensive and big parking. But you will not find gourmet style products here...and some raw-cooked products were not very fresh... nevertheless its very inexpensive place to buy fruits and vegetables, as well as bulk food and some hard to find desserts. ..

The deli leaves the turkey ,ham, etc. out of the refrigerator for long periods of time. Also cross contamination is eviedent when they slice the different animal deli meats. I told the deli and store manager about the food handling problem thats happening. They both didnt address the issue. The health department is most likely to close the department soon.

The name itself describes the store. Not only the King, its a SUPER KING! No joke. Variety of foods, awesome deli, great selection of meat, from the tongue all the way to the tail. Alcohol selection that you cant even imagine. The only store I ever found a fresh dragon fruit. If you are European, this is the place you need to shop.

Great place to shop with good produce section. The price is definitely lower than Ralphs etc. The place is very clean and well lit. Employees are very friendly and helpful. They play good music too. The parking lot is little crazy on the prime shopping times. But over all we love this place.

Good store, great prices (mainly on bulk items like nuts), limited selection, meat department REEKS even from fifteen feet away. Lines are hugely long 90% of the time - midday Tuesday, dawn on Sunday, ten minutes after closing on Friday - its never not busy. You WILL spend 20 minutes in line.

SUPER busy, basically always. Short hours. Prices vary from slightly cheaper to on-par with most everywhere else. Its often worth the extra 5¢-ish per item at the drug store, just to save 20 minutes of my time (or to be able to shop in the morning or at night). TL;DNR: Its okay. :p

Best place for fresh fruits and vegetables. Their meat and dairy selection is also very large but the down side is that there are always big lines when trying to place an order and again when you are trying to pay. Other than that, the staff are very kind and helpful.

Very good selection of veggies, shelves are always stocked and they have pretty good deals every week, especially on chicken. Parking can be a hassle sometimes depending on time and lines at the cashier can be long too, this is something they should improve on
